alone. My
love, remember, you're always
enough. Hold on and never give up.
You can see that tan color building with
that terracotta top. That's the market.
That's what you're looking for
today. All right, we just got to Central
Market here in Lancaster. I seen this
guy yesterday at the Green Dragon. We
were there yesterday, but today we're at
the oldest market.
One thing about this market, even on the
outside, they got all kinds of stores.
Detail style of
living. This looks like a cool
place. Nice. All right. Today we're at
one of the oldest markets, 300 years
old. I'm going to give you a complete
tour. We were at Green Dragon yesterday.
Today we're at this central market in
Lancaster County, downtown Lancaster.
It's right back there. It's only open
three days a week. Tuesday, Friday, and
Saturday. After you got here, you got to
Town Square. You just want to turn
around and walk back this way to the
market. Look at these buildings. This
place, a lot of history in Lancaster,
Pennsylvania.
All right. This is the building right
here. 1730 this market's been going into
play. It's called Central
Market. You'll see all kinds of things.
Look at the guy playing the steel
drums. You can see they're open 6:00 to
300 p.m. But let's walk in. It is going
to be busy in here today. It's got that
old market feel for sure. Oh my god. I
can't believe this. They got a Shady
Maple stand in here. I got a whole video
on this place. If you never been there,
you got to go. All right, the first
thing we got to do, you got to find
these stairs because they go up for a
scenic view of this market. I love it up
here. This is the best overhead shot of
the central
market. Stunning, isn't it? But what I
want to show you here is some of the
architecture. Look at this ceiling.
These old fans. Can you imagine when
they built this years
ago? Old wood up here. Beautiful detail.
Just another angle. I got to get down
there. Let's go see what we can find
today. There's the grasshopper. Wicked
pickles. You got to get these. Here.
There's the Clyde Weaver smoked meat
cheese truck. Look at that thing.
There's Weaver's delicatess.
Let's just continue. Oh man, I seen that
place yesterday. Uncle Leroyy's. This is
where they got some great fudge. Now, if
you've never been to Lancaster, you
probably never heard of stole fuss, but
this place is famous here. Look at these
vegetables they got.
Incredible. A lot of this is homegrown
in Lancaster County for sure. All right.
This is the oldest stand here at the
Central Market is Long's horseradish.
They've been here over 60 years. It is
ground right here on premise and I love
it. It's the only horseradish I ever
buy. Oh, they expanded into the Bloody
Mary
mix. All right. I think is cool.
Lancaster Central Market, the heart of
Lancaster for 300 years. But look at
some of these oldtime
pictures of what this place used to
like. Wouldn't it be great to go back in
time and see this? There's the crowded
kitchen. But man, look at all over here
is all these
teas, herbs.
There's a Middle Eastern
stand. Grape leaves. I think they're
stuffed. It's called Si Middle Eastern
Foods. Lion's me rishi
elderberry. I don't know what this is.
This looks like an herbal stand. There's
Kamesa. But what's got my attention here
has got to be these soft pretzels.
There's a popcorn stand. I'm telling
you, this market just goes on and
on. More vegetables.
Look at this place. It's called Tom's or
Tom's Bread. All right. This is called
Pretzels on the Market. Do you see these
pretzels? Oh man. Cinnamon pretzel cups.
They look delicious. You got to have a
pretzel in Lancaster. Every row has got
something different.
Let's just walk up here. Fastpace it.
There's the Maple Huff Dairy. Man, look
at all that milk. They got you covered
here. I'm a chocolate milk connoisseur.
I had to get this here because it looks
so good. It's Maple Hulk Dairy Farm
Store. Look at that chocolate milk right
here from Lancaster,
Pennsylvania. That is delicious. Oh, we
got some entertainment here and some
magicians. Ola
bowls. My wife was here. I know she'd be
going there. You got to have a candy
store. Look at all
this. That looks good. Almond brittle. I
don't know how you say this. Don't even
ask. But it's Caribbean food. This looks
all fresh
[Music]
ingredients. All right. Is this
incredible or what? This is all fresh
cut
flowers. It's called inspirational
blossoms. I'll tell you, if I had smell
a vision, this stuff smells
incredible. As soon as you walk in this
market, you smell this. You got to have
a seafood place. And Mr. Bills is known
in Lancaster. Look at all this fresh
seafood. Tell me those scallops don't
look good. There's the juice company and
bagels and all kinds of thing. Look at
all this juice. Fresh squeezed and
everything. I see beet juice back
there. This is called Nord. I don't
think I've ever seen a Scandinavian food
place in any market I've been. I don't
even know where it is. I know I'm
speaking subscribers language now.
Lancaster Distilleries.
Make sure you're checking out my wine
channel because we make homemade wine.
All right, look at this. This is Puerto
Rican food over on this side.
Rogue Hydroamics. The Kilgore family.
I'm guessing all this stuff I It says
York County. All
natural. Frog is in part of York County,
close to where I live. But you can see
all this stuff is
organic butterhead lettuce. Look at all
these canned goods. Jams,
vegetables. Oh my god. Where's my sweet
tooth, people? Look at this. Whoopy
pies, cookies. There's Ziggs Bakery.
Look at all this. Oh my god. It looks
like they got all kinds of
scones. This looks fabulous. I'm getting
hungry. Charles Family
Farm, man. Look at these fresh fruit
cups on ice. All kinds of different
variety oranges. Mandarin, miniola
oranges. Some of these I've never even
heard of. I'll tell you one thing, I
love these big doors. But what's got my
attention is the decor and the attention
to detail inside. Right up there, that's
that balcony we were at. All right. Make
sure I got all kinds of Lancaster tours.
Make sure you're watching them all. But
especially if you're not wanting to get
to do your own thing, check out my
bioour store because I got a lot of
different things on there. And yes,
there's a salad place here. It's called
Groovy Greens. Oh, they got a Cuban
stand here. El Kubana Restaurant. This
is the oldest market in the United
States consecutive years. It's been open
since 1730. They used to have handle the
market outside before they built this
building. I think it was in the 1800s.
But let me tell you, it's a fantastic
market. I wish I could go back in time
and see these old markets how they used
to be. Support the market. Believe it or
not, this market is privately owned.
It's not owned by the city. It's owned
by the citizens of Lancaster County.
Now, one thing I noticed about this
market, you will not see many empty
stands. And prepare to stand in line.
This is the coffee place. It's early in
the morning. Everybody wants to get
their morning coffee break in. Oh, they
even got Thai food. Hills to see
Thai. This is called Josephine. I love
their window. Does this scream spring
and somber
and beautiful little restaurant?
Josephine. It's actually a beastro. All
right. This is kind of cool. Right
here's the one of the entrances to the
market. But if you walk right across,
they actually got a sports bar right
across the street. Check this huge
sports bar out. TVs everywhere. It's
just getting ready to open up. Oh, it's
a bar. That's cool, right? Ah, they got
some great outdoor seating in this
little bar. All right, that's going to
wrap up our day here at Central Market
in Lancaster. Again, watch all our
Lancaster videos. We got a lot happening
here. And this is just over the top,
this market. If you're vacationing here,
you got to come here. No doubt about it.
