WE Got A Livestock GUARDIAN....

[Music] Good morning, guys. Welcome to today's video. We're headed out early, but before we go, I want to show you one two things. Uh, a bird update. Remember, I moved them into the living room instead of into like the playroom area and I ended up getting this bag of paper, shredded paper from a friend. I put shredded paper in the bottom of their crate cage. I thought they would love it and they do love it, but it is the messiest thing ever. So, I'm never going to do that again. They love the cage now. They have this little empty bucket here for food or whatever and they poop in it. That's what they use it for. They poop in it. Uh, I noticed that the food the feeder that I'm using is actually leaking down there. We put this treat thing here a week ago. They haven't even touched it, so I don't think they love it. They do love these little things that you chew your sharpen your beak on, though. They love They're loving their new cage. Totally. They love it in here. It's nice and sunny outside. It's nice and warm in this room. Not too warm. The second thing I wanted to show you was yesterday I gave you an update on my new yarn trend that I've been trying and I watched a movie last night and two blankets I repurposed into balls of wool. So I have all these balls of wool, you guys. I have bright blue. I have navy blue. I have light green. Lots of green. Lots of white. Really light blue. Hunter green. I got it all. $5 for all this wool because I repurposed it from blankets. It is super addicting. I sat and watched a movie with Sam last night and unrolled an entire blanket in one sitting. It was so fun. So, we're headed out early this morning, the day before Father's Day. It's Father Day. It's Father's Day for you guys. So, we're headed out. I'm going to see if I can find some more blankets because now I'm addicted. The reason that this trend with repurposing blankets is so fun is because it's not just that you're getting all this free wool or really cheap wool. It's that like it's the thrill of the chase, you guys. It's the thrill of the chase. It's the finding of the blankets. It's the finding of the wool. And what even made me start this whole thing is that a couple weeks ago when we were out at a yard sale, I found this crochet blanket and I'm not gonna you I don't use crochet blankets. And I found this blanket and it was pink and white and it was like stunning. It was so beautiful. And I picked it up and I felt it and I touched it probably like 20 times thinking like what would I ever use this bling for? I just love the color of it and I knew I wouldn't use it so I didn't buy it. And then I thought about it like for days after. And then suddenly on my for you page, I found this trend where people buy blankets, unwind them, and repurpose the wool into other projects. And lots of times it's like toys, like stuffed animals or that kind of thing. But man, it's funny how there are all these miracles and all these things happen in your life that you don't even know. The sequence of events that lead you from one place to the next. Like I probably wouldn't have even thought anything of this new trend when I saw it except for that I'd seen a couple weeks before this beautiful blanket that I loved the wool of. Anyways, so now we're going out. We're doing the thrill of the chase. I'm going to find me some new blankets. I really want some pink. Supposed to be getting my package today that has something in it that's supposed to help me with this trend, which I can't wait to show you. It's going to be fun. But anyways, happy Father's Day to all you guys who are dads. I don't think there's a lot of men on our channel, but for the few that there are, happy Father's Day and happy Father's Day to all of your wonderful dads. Happy Father's Day to Sam, even though it's not Father's Day, right? So, we decided that we're going to act like today's Father's Day and give Sam his presents today. I've been dying to give him his presents, let me tell you, cuz there's one present that I want to share with him. Would you share your Father's Day present with me? Sure. Well, you're going to be sharing this one back from the yard sales and I want to tell you guys I got another blanket. I got I'm addicted. Don't judge you guys. Don't knock it till you try. This is the blanket. It's actually so cute. Let's see if I can get it to be Yeah, that's about what the colors look like. It's so super cute. I'm obsessed with it. Like I said, I don't use blankets, crochet blankets, but if I was going to use one, this would be one that I would use. I like more neutral tones for my blankets like this nice green one behind. But it's gorgeous. Isn't it gorgeous? Literally, every time Sophie goes out to the barn by herself every time. Every single time. Within 2 minutes, she calls me. Calls me on the phone. I'm getting to the point where like at first I thought it was a emergency and I would always panic. Now I'm at the point where it's like she's crying wolf even though she's just calling to tell me something. Let's go see what she's calling me about today. Hello. What's happening up? So what were you calling me for? Um Honey saved the chickens. Honey saved the chickens. You guys she's our donkey. She's our our She's our guardian pony running around. I was like, "What are you running around for?" I saw the big bird. I know. And then she like ran right past like right to the bird. Got it. And then did she And the bird ran away. So, and she tried to kick it. Yeah. Earlier this week when we put the chickens in, we noticed there was a chicken missing. It was the little tiny Silky chicken. The dumbest one. The slowest one. So, little Silky went missing. And I thought, okay, silkies, get get broody. And at that time, our chickens weren't laying in the coupe, which they are now, thankfully. And you know what I dreamed? What? That we were like out about here. And then out. Out and about. Yeah. Around here. Like out in the front. And we watched the ducks. There was another duck, like a baby. And then we looked away. Another one popped up. So there's their eggs are hatching somewhere. Yeah. So our ducks are laying eggs everywhere and our chickens are laying eggs everywhere. But anyway, our chickens are back to laying in the ce. But I figured that the Silky, the missing Silky was gone because she was laying on the nest because silkies are like a heavy feathered breed and they often go broody. So then I always see these big huge birds of prey flying over and Sam's always like, "Oh, it's a turkey vulture. They don't eat live things." Blah, blah, blah. He always does the same thing. I swear people just say things to shut me up and it's never true. So anyways, Sophie just saw a bird land in our field right next to our chicken and Honey scooted away and she was chasing it and running and bucking and kicking and scared it away. So thank God for Honey. Like she's she's a guardian. She's a livestock guardian horse. I feel like dressing head to toe in white. You feel like dressing head to toe in white? She does. Oh, she likes dressing. She likes dressing head to toe in white. Listen, you should take cover. There's birds around trying to steal you guys. Anyway, now that I've been unraveling wool, holding up the camera is hard for me cuz my arm hurts. So Sophie's going to a ride lady. I'm going to do a little bit of work on the I'm going to do a little bit of work on the chicken coop and then we're going to celebrate Father's Day. I'm super excited because I bought him something I feel like for like 15 minutes each way. You do 15 minutes each way and then she's like done chill. And I'm going to work on the chicken coop. But we've discovered and we've kind of hit on this before, but when Sophie wears headphones and listens to music and she rides Lady Lady. No, not headphones. She likes listening to it too. Oh, does she like listening to it, too? Oh, she's like, "Here, Sophie. I'll come with you. She's coming with you." Now she's going home. Oh, no. I thought you were I thought she was going to fall as though cuz she loves Sophie so much. The door is open. She's like, I'll just take this minute to just go. She's going to do it again. All right. Give that to me. I'll see if I can find some. I know what they're they're western boots, aren't they? But like lemu and like white. Yeah, Gabby has some purple and ones that are like that. All right. You want white boots, Ladybug? The only thing I don't like about those ones is that they heat up. Do they heat up? Did you spray her with bug spray? No. Good call, lady. She was telling you. Um I just think that's the funniest thing and so telling. She's like, I don't want to ride today. You know what? I'm going to open up Why did she trot it up to me though? Did she trot it up to you? Well, sometimes when she come when you go out to see her, she doesn't have to ride. She loves being lunged though. She looks so beautiful being lunged. Sophie says she's in her D era. Cuz she's learning how to frame. Now that it's summer, Sophie will be riding a lot more. Yeah, when she gets it done perfectly, but lady's learning to frame and doing really well at it. But they listen to music and they calm they stay. It calms them right down and they go around beautifully. Unless it's a fast song, then we like almost scanner. Oh, well, don't do that. I can't believe she was like slowly sneaking away. She's like, I'll just leave now. I'll just I'll just go. She likes the song called Bruises. Bruises? That is not a song. I would I would It's a slow song. Oh. Is it a sad song about getting bruises? No. I hope not. It's like about someone's partner leaving. Oh, emotional bruises. Yeah. Right. Let me take a picture of her now with her fly mask on. Okay, before Sophie goes, I want to show you one more thing. Look at her mane. It actually looks so nice now. Did you pull this one? No. She has nice She has nice hair. Not super thick. Perfectly thick. It's okay, Ladybug. It's going to be okay. She's going to bring her music. I love a horse with a Roman nose. Especially boy horses. I like crooked stripes. Yeah, I love crooked stripes, too. Okay. I had two horses that had it. You don't have any. I know, but I still like them. You want to open that gate for us? Sure. I try and clean the chicken coop every single week, and every day I try and do it, though, I get distracted. She's galloping around the field for that. Hi, you're such a good girl. It's actually gorgeous weather out here. I love that Honey comes and just stays here with Sophie. She doesn't leave. She just stays right by where Sophie is. So, I was watching Sophie lunge lady and then a turkey just went running by. Look, there's no poop out here. Wow, that's pretty amazing. Horses are pretty much done this grass though, so I'm going to open this. So, I'm going to give them a little bit more grass, but I like to not overwhelming them. So, I like to let them just out here in this little section. There's just so much grass just in this little area, but I don't want them going out in this field yet. All right, here we go. [Applause] All right, so there's tons of grass. This will take them probably a day. Just joking. It'll probably take them two days, maybe three. But look at this little shelter here. Full of grass. Look, she's excited. Whoa. Are you? Yeah, you can go out. Oh my gosh. She remembers from last year. She's like, "Wow. Oh my gosh." She's so excited. She's going to go get the other horses. Wow. Oh, here comes Penny. So, literally, I was sitting with Sophie and suddenly a little baby turkey just runs right by me. He ran this way, came through here. or Sam found some up at the chicken coop. Oh, he caught one. I think he wants to be free. Is it the boy? I don't know. Let's go. Looks like it. If you look close, you may or may not see two chickens in my garden. Hopefully, only one is out. We got all three. I don't know how they're getting out. Was the door lock closed when you came in? No. It was open. Waiting for Gabby. But do you remember what you asked for for Father's Day? What did you ask for? I asked for this. What is it? Belt. A belt. And what else did you want? Scratch tickets. Scratch tickets. What else did you want? Um, nothing. Yeah. You didn't ask for anything else cuz I tried. Happy Father's Day. All right. This is how good we listen. They're all wrapped up. So, I know we're lazy. All right. Did you wrap your presents to me or did you just throw me a box? Did you throw a box? So, this is a special belt that he wanted. Yeah, this is a special belt. There's no sizing. It doesn't have holes. It It's like a zipper. It literally doesn't have a single hole. You just thread it through the thing like a zipper. Ellie loves it. When When you were little, did your parents ever say, "If you don't behave, you'll get the belt." Yeah. My parents said that to us, too. Spoon and and then and the wooden spoon. We never got it, but they would say it. I got it all the time. So, we hid all the belts and you couldn't find a single belt in the house. Then we got the wooden spoons. That's all. My parents said it. If you don't behave, you're going to get the wooden spoon. But they never did it in here. It's got these ridges on here. These ridges. No, it'll fit them. So then the ridges they zip in. See, it locks in. Oh, it's nice belt. Now that Gabby is old enough to buy a lottery ticket. $80 million. All right. Here you go. Were you actually old enough to buy a lottery ticket? Yes, she's 18 now. Yeah, I got to touch it this time. They didn't yell at me. Mom, when I was younger, mom made me pick hers out, but I accidentally touched it. And the lady's like, "You can't do that." I got the itch. I'm going to scratch. Show them. Oh, I guess you can't really show them. Oh, yeah. You can. Got the itch. I'm going to scratch. I hate lottery tickets. Those kind of Can you turn them around? So, Gabby picked all these ones for him. I haven't like scratched tickets in a long time. And Gabby is uh born under the sign of the golden pig and she is lucky. Let's hope all these are winners. No pressure, Gabby. Okay, so this one is for me. This one? So this is a This one's for me. What is it? Shirt sweater. It is dark blue queen. Queen bed sheet. Yeah. Yeah. Is this the magnetic bed sheet? No, it's magnetic. It's a It's um grounded. Grounded bed sheet. Oh. Did you want one? No. Really? It was expensive. We'll see. You have to plug this in and get electrocuted. Yeah, you plug it in. Wait, what? Oh, yeah. And it grounds to the earth. Here's the uh power cord. Pulling. You put it to the ground. Put it on the the ground. Yeah. Put it on the ground. Put it in the ground in the third hole. The ground. Yeah. And it grounds you kind of to the earth and then you use the vibration of the earth to heal your body. I don't know if we should try this tonight cuz if we don't wake up in the morning, you put it on the ground. No, it grounds you. Yeah, but like where? How? Stop. So's killing herself. The reason I bought it is because it's supposed to take away pain. Is it? Yeah. It's supposed to like and it's supposed to make you sleep so so so good. Let you know. It's kind of like a dopamine fix like So, do you have to put this on? Oh, I see. No, you just put it on. It's a bed sheet. It's a fitted bed sheet. All the wires. Nope. You don't wash it. It's got wires. Is it electric in it? Yeah. Bed sheet over it. No, you don't put a bed sheet over it. Well, how do you wash it with wire? You hardly have to wash it. It says that they it takes dirt, too. They get dirty. They say it it resists dirt. And heals your body and your soul. All right. Well, we're trying it tonight. We're going to try it tonight. Luckily, it's Father's Day. Put it on. He says, "Here, I'll put it on. I'm excited about it." A lot of health gurus that I follow online actually swear by this. And people swear by stuff. I always get like, "Put copper pipes in the water trough. It's going to make it so that it doesn't turn green. Put wood in the water trough in the winter and it won't freeze." Nope. None of that stuff works. I always get suckered, you guys. But we're going to we're going to try this because a lot of people swear by it and it feels so nice. I can't wait.
