858. Trimming/Fitting a Sodium Silicate Texture Lidded Jar With Hsin-Chuen Lin

Today I'm going to trim this sodium silicate lid jar I showed you uh the other day. I'm going to trim the body first. [Music] [Music] [Music] All right. So, pretty quick, I use my seven shape seven shape loop tool to trim the foot and also the side of it. [Music] Okay. And now I'm going to trim the lid. And like I told you that it's slightly too big. This part here slightly too big. So I would trim a little bit so it will fit in here. Drop it in in there inside the gallery. And this part here should be smaller than the inner part of the gallery. And I think it is fine to go in there. Only this part slightly too big. So I will trim a little bit here and then try to fit it before I trim the knob. So let me put this aside. [Music] Bring back my body and see if it's fitting. [Music] Okay. So, it's good. Let me double check that to see if uh it's fitting there. Okay, so it's good. This time I'm going to use water to stick my lid on my bed. Like I told you that um I leave a lot of clay here so I could uh manage to trim a taller knob. [Music] [Music] fit it in perfectly inside a gallery. Both the gallery on the body and the lid. So you have to uh make sure that this part here is fitting on the inside and this part here is fitting on the outside. So you could do a little bit of adjustment by remove a little bit clay here or remove a little bit clay on the body. Right.
