Meridian Grooming The Trimmer vs The Trimmer Plus (Honest Review)

the Meridian trimmer versus the breathing trimmer plus and also in this video I want to compare the Meridian trimmer with the Meridian trimmer plus because this is the latest version when it comes to the Meridian trimmers and thus in this video I want to compare the previous version with the newer version and if you are someone that's new to this Channel and would love to see more videos like this want to have a look at any of these two trimmers let's have a look at the packaging so these are the two packagings of the meridian trimmers and in terms of the packaging the trimmer plus has a bigger package than the trimmer and when it comes to the package of the trimmer plus it is definitely a little bit better not that it matters that much but it's a nice thing to know and when I open the trimmer package and get rid of the black layer you find the trim inside of it and when it comes to the trimmer plus if you open this package surprise surprise you also find the trim inside of it too but when it comes to this trimmer if you've watched my previous video where unboxed it you saw that when it comes to this trimmer there was a plastic layer all across it to really protect the trimmer so in terms of packaging I would definitely give it to the trimmer plus I just find the quality of the packaging a little bit better and I really appreciate that there's a plastic layer around the trimmer to really make sure that the trimmer doesn't get damaged inside of the package of the normal trimmer you find yourself two adjustable guards three or six millimeters and 9 and 12 millimeters and the way you adjust them is to make sure that you put it inside of the little gaps over here and click it in and you're good to go well when it comes to the trimmer plus the adjustable guard is already on the trimmer itself so it has zero 2.55 7.5 and 10 millimeters so when it comes to the normal trimmer it goes up to 12 millimeters but when it comes to the trimmer plus it has variables of 2.5 whilst the normal trimmer has variables of three the normal trimmer also provides you a cleaning brush and a normal USB charging cable whilst the trimmer plus also provides you a cleaning brush when it comes to the charging cable they've definitely made an upgrade because when it comes with the charging cable it is a USBC charging cable to give your trim a quick charge the trimmer plus also provides you this charging dock and at the back of it you insert a USBC cable and you're good to go so far we've discovered that when it comes to the normal trimmer it has adjustable chords 3 6 9 and 12 millimeters well when it comes to the trimmer plus it has zero 2.55 7.5 and 10 millimeters the trimmer plus also provides a USBC cable for a quicker charge and a charging dock that makes a little bit more convenient so besides those two features what else is different obviously the first thing is the design so when it comes to the normal trimmer it already had a beautiful and elegant design but when it comes to the trimmer plus they've upgraded this and they've provided a little bit more of a grip function over here the button on the normal trimmer is a lot bigger than the button on the trimmer plus both trimmers have the same battery life but when it comes to the trimmer plus it does charge a little bit quicker another thing that the trimmer plus provides is an LED light so if I press it on I press it again you can see the LED light alright so now I want to do a sound test so let me start with the trimmer all right there we go and now let me turn on the trimmer Plus and if you turn it on again that's how you turn the LED light on and if you press here again that's how it turns off so in terms of both trimmers in my opinion they're not very loud and I've already mentioned that in my previous reading grooming review videos but when it comes to the difference between these two trimmers it is very difficult to distinguish it in my opinion this one sounds a little bit more powerful but it is very negligible so overall when it comes to the sound of them in my opinion they do sound very similar and just so lightly based on the sound I wouldn't pick one over the other both of these trim is all very similar the main difference is obviously the design of it this one has a better grip and has a different aesthetic design than the normal breathing trimmer another thing is the LED light this is more convenient for those individuals that want to talk those hard to reach areas and want to have a better look at this well when it comes to the trimmer by Meridian it doesn't provide this feature so besides the charging dock and the quicker charge that you get with the trimmer plus the main reason I would go for the trimmer plus is is due to the adjustable gods in my opinion this is very useful for those individuals that don't constantly want to adjust and clip a new adjustable God all you have to do is to lift it up a little bit from the side because in the previous video where I checked the trimmer plus out I checked it out with the adjustable guard I wanted to check whether this product still gives you a very close trim even though it has this big layer on top of it and the answer to that is yes because in my previous video I checked this product on my forearm and it did wonders and obviously after the video I checked it out in the bathroom and it still gave me a very close trim so when it comes to this big adjustable guard layer on top of it it doesn't hinder the performance of the trimmer but obviously if you're someone that doesn't feel like you need to have this adjustable card all you can do is just lift it up and get rid of it I use the trimmer like this so if you are someone that's familiar with my channel you already know that I absolutely love them reading grooming trimmers and thus in my opinion if you already have this trimmer you don't necessarily need to upgrade to the trimmer plus but when it comes to the trimmer plus it has a quicker charge provides the LED light something that might be very useful but you can't find in the normal trimmer another thing is obviously the adjustable guard this is life changing for those individuals that want to get the Perfect Trim and need to adjust the adjustable guard to get the Perfect Trim without the hassle of constantly clipping a new adjustable guard on just to get the perfect length and I completely understand that some of us just want to get a clean shave and want to completely get rid of those hairs and in that instances you can simply keep it at zero and just lay on top of it won't really hinder it but if you still want to get rid of it all you have to do is to lift it up and this way you get rid of it and you can perfectly use it another reason why you might want to go for the trimmer plus compared to the normal trim is due to the design because in my opinion I absolutely adore this design it's not like they're the normal trimmer of Meridian doesn't have an elegant design but when it comes to the trimmer plus it is definitely an upgrade and thus if you have this in your bathroom on top of the charging dock it absolutely looks
