Killer Instinct Ripper 415 Review

Wow! $380. Gets you that kind of speed. Hello Crossbow Nation. I'm the Field Archer. This is the Killer Instinct Ripper 415 Crossbow Review. The Killer Instinct Ripper 415 Specs. The speed is 415 feet per second. Trigger pull, three and a half pound. Axle to axle is 17 and three quarter inches. Length is adjustable from 35 inches to 36 and a half inches. Weighs in at 6.9 pounds. 200 pound draw weight with a 15 inch power stroke. The Ripper 415 has an aluminum CNC enhanced rail and CNC machine riser for long range accuracy. Limb silencers, string silencers, and string suppressors suck up noise and vibration. The Ripper 415 Pro Package includes a 4x32 multi reticle illuminated scope that has five brightness settings in red and blue. I would mark a piece of tape on the scope for the exact yardage of each aim point because they are not spot on at 10 yard increments. The Pro Package also includes three Killer Tech arrows, five arrow quiver with tactical side mount, rope cocker, and rail lube. The Ripper 415 has anti-dry fire, ambidextrous auto safety, and the buttstock adjusts one and a half inches with an adjustable fore grip for the perfect fit. The finish has a soft touch feel and I am really digging the Chaos camo. Shortening the rope cocker is a must for cocking the 200 pound draw weight with a 15 inch power stroke. The shortened rope cocker made cocking the Ripper 415 Pro Package easy, but if cocking this kind of weight is out of the question for you, no worries because the Ki Series crank cocker with an under $70 MSRP is available for the Ripper 415. With all the silencers and string suppressors, the Ripper 415 still came in at 86.5 decibels and had some vibe at the shot. The Ripper 415 is a very accurate crossbow with its CNC enhanced aluminum rail. The trigger pull coming in at 5.25 pounds is a little on the high side for me, but for those that prefer a heavier trigger pull will like the crisp break and very little creep. The fit and finish is above average in this price range and the Ripper 415 has the look and feel of a more expensive crossbow. But there is no doubt about it, the Ripper 415 is all about speed and flat trajectory at a very affordable price. If you are looking for a quality tack drive and crossbow that is shooting over 400 feet per second with flat trajectory for under $380, be sure to check out Killer Instinct's Ripper 415.
