Hey guys, welcome back. We're going to start this tour in the kitchen. This is usually the number
one area that everyone wants to see completed. So in this kitchen, we decided to do something
a little bold and different and we went with a custom color on the cabinetry. This color
is from Farrow & Ball and the name is Railings. So this color blends the perfect mix of black and
blue together that also complements and gives us a bold contrast with our porcelain Calcutta
countertops. This countertop is perfect for outdoor kitchens, for families. You can't hurt
this material. You can cut on it, it can withstand heat and the best part about this is we get the
marble look but without the maintenance that's associated with natural stone. The gold that runs
through this countertop pairs really well with all of our brushed gold accents that we did on
the faucets and the cabinet hardware. For the refrigerator freezer, we chose Miele for our
appliance and a really cool feature about this refrigerator and freezer is it actually is
touch to open meaning you just kind of give it a push and then it pops open for you so that you can
use it very effortlessly and then it has an automatic close feature. Another unique detail
which actually is the first time we've ever done this in a kitchen is this floating shelf. So we
really wanted a streamlined look so we took the countertop and ran it up the backsplash and then
created this two-inch thick shelf where we also incorporated LED lighting underneath to illuminate
the countertop. The tile on the backsplash adds a very unique rich feeling to this kitchen. It is
custom made in California and it is handmade so no two tiles are alike so you get this sort of
organic look and feel which is what we were going for in this kitchen. We also decided to create and
design a custom plaster hood and this gave us again that organic feel that we were going for
and also a little bit of rusticness with the plaster detail and the design of the hood. For
our cooktop and ovens we decided to use Hestan which is an amazing company out of Italy.
It had a unique flair which is what we were looking for in this kitchen. So when we were designing
this kitchen we decided to keep the entertaining aspect in mind that's why we actually went with
two islands in this kitchen. The idea behind that is that this island can be the serving island
and then there's the work island which is in the back where all the mess and prep will happen. So
since we were designing this bar and we're in an open concept floor plan we needed to incorporate
a wine cooler but also put it behind panels so that it doesn't mess up the beautiful design of
the kitchen. The bar we added elements of glitz and glamour by adding a wallpaper in the back
that reflects the light and is an antiqued mirror and also what bar would not be complete without
an ice machine. So when we were designing this family room seating was key. We needed to get
as many people in this room as possible so we designed this custom sectional to fit their large
family. Because we had such a large sectional we needed a substantial coffee table. This coffee
table really grounds the space and fills the sectional area nicely. No matter where you're
sitting on the sectional you can actually use the table. So in this space we decided to use
these rust color swivel chairs that define the space of the family room but then it also
complements the design and the color of the kitchen. So when you're designing your home
make sure you find a cohesive color palette that you can use throughout the entire home.
And while we're over here in the family room I just want to point out the custom detail that
we did in the kitchen. It is a true focal point in this space and really adds the softness and
the elegance to this room. We really thought about textures in this space so you'll notice that we
chose this caning detail on the dining chairs. Also we brought in the leather just as we did on
the stools into this custom banquette area. Since we believe in tying elements from one room to
another we also chose to do the same antiqued mirror wallpaper here on this accent wall just
as we did in the bar. So in this master bedroom we decided to do custom window treatments. This
beautiful chair. Also we decided to bring in an olive tree. So the olive tree adds that touch of
greenery. It's almost like a breath of fresh air. I love adding green plants to any room in the house
so why not the bedroom? We also then designed this custom sofa to fit perfectly at the end of our bed.
The tv console is a little bit more of a modern design but we purposely selected this piece for
that reason. We wanted it very clean and contemporary and not too fussy. We really didn't want to
distract from the beautiful carpet and also the custom sofa that we designed. So moving into my
favorite room in this house is the master bathroom. We chose to bring in warm elements with the rift
oak vanities and tub panel and then have this beautiful organic marble slab shower and tub deck.
It took us a while to find the perfect slab. We toured many slab yards and went through many
different versions of this and we tagged these as our favorite. To give us that very clean look
and very minimum we actually chose to do the herringbone marble floor and run it right into
the shower. In this bathroom we decided to use all waterworks fixtures and use the finish called
unlacquered brass. Now unlacquered brass is starts off shiny but then over time it actually changes
and has this beautiful patina to it. So if you are not interested in having your faucet change
unlacquered brass might not be the best option for you but for us this was the perfect organic
feel that we were looking for. So now we're heading into the guest master suite. When we were designing
this suite we wanted to make sure that our clients guests were very comfortable and also felt like
they didn't need to leave this space. We designed this custom kitchenette with their own refrigerator,
sink, and faucet. Moving on into the bathroom we really wanted to do something bold and this floor
was actually inspired by our clients travel to New Orleans. They had a picture of this tile and
Ariel and I searched all over the internet all through our vendors to find the exact tile that
was used in that hotel. On the vanity we chose to use a color that was very similar to the kitchen
but not the same. We also decided to bring that backsplash detail and shelf into this bathroom as
well. This shower had its own set of challenges. There is a curved detail to the space that we
didn't change or modify. So with that being said we needed to select the perfect tile that would
follow the curve but also not be too busy. So we went with this ceramic tile that is in this
beautiful ivory color that paired well nicely with the vanity and the floor tile. Since we had
the idea of a guest suite in mind we wanted to incorporate a rain shower head and a handheld
inside of the shower space. Now on to the guest bedroom. This bedroom we decided to incorporate
a beautiful bronze bed that tied well with all the bronze accents that we did throughout the home.
Also texture was really important in this space. We chose to bring in this beautiful leather fringe
stool and also add elements of the texture on the light fixtures as well. Another way that you can
bring texture into your own home is with the window treatments. So what we did here was a
little bit of a unique detail. We did the sheer drapery and then on the actual window we brought
in the woven wood shade to add that texture organic feel that we were going for. So in this
guest bathroom we decided to bring in the no curb shower here as well. What that means is we ran the
same tile from the bathroom into the shower space without a transition. The other element that we
brought into this guest bathroom is this beautiful surround in the shower. So we used marble to clad
the opening of the shower which highlighted the darker organic feeling brick tile we did inside
of the shower space. So this room needed to act and be multi-purpose. This room needed to function
as a library, a study, an office, and a third guest room when they needed the extra space.
So this particular sofa bed didn't use just any company. American Leather is known for their sofa
beds. They actually use a real mattress and this was really important for our clients since their
kids will come and she wants everyone to be comfortable. In between the kitchen and the study
we have the coffee bar. So this space we wanted to make it a part of the kitchen obviously but add
that touch of brass and metal accent into these uppers. We also incorporated the microwave in this
area as well as a refrigerator drawer and a pullout for all of their extra storage needs.
In this powder room we wanted to go for a very moody and elegant vibe. So we decided to make a
custom sink made out of this beautiful stone material and then incorporate some accents with
the wallpaper. So the wallpaper is a textured which adds another layer of depth to this space.
The faucets we decided to do them out of the wall so that it kept a very clean look on the countertop.
Another unique detail on the sink is we actually incorporated the actual sink into the material.
So you'll notice that it just kind of blends seamlessly. And now for a delightful surprise
let's step into the cabana bath. Inspired by a unique find in a restaurant bathroom the homeowners
fell in love with a playful wall covering called drunk monkeys. This unexpected addition adds a
touch of whimsy and lightheartedness to this renovation becoming one of our favorite little
surprises in this project. So in this laundry room we designed the space with the intent of
not making it feel like a laundry room. The cabinetry is this beautiful green color along
with this very clean looking white quartz countertop. To bring in that earthy organic
feel we brought in this beautiful wood ladder that holds towels and blankets. It just adds
softness to the space. This concludes the tour of our old palm project. Thank you so much to the
homeowners who trusted us with their home and trusted our design ability throughout this whole
project. We are truly thankful and we are so happy how this home turned out. And if you're
