Alea Robinson is certainly not your
typical child not only is she adorable
but the six-year-old also has an
incredible passion to help people and
it's a passion that recently caught the
attention of national media little Alya
didn't have the easiest start in life
because her birth mother was a drug
addict she was placed in foster homes
for a young age and in an interview with
Oklahoma news channel K fo r she
described the experience as not very fun
the little girl was later adopted by the
Robinson family of Oklahoma and well
Alya found herself a family at long last
in return the Robinsons were quickly
realizing just how special she was in
January 2017 her foster mom Misti
Robinson told K fo r Howell I had been
saving up birthday and Christmas money
for a new Barbie toy but when disaster
struck another family Alya showed
incredible compassion not long after a
liya celebrated her birthday in fact a
tornado flattened another family's home
and the generous little girl decided she
wanted to give all of her savings to
them instead but this was just the start
of elías plight to help others next Alya
turned her attention to helping kids in
foster care specifically she wanted to
help children in the care of the
Oklahoma Department of Human Services
DHHS and it all started with some lemons
indeed when she was just five years old
Alya started raising money for these
foster kids by selling lemonade through
a project called lemonade for love and
the Facebook page for the initiative
explains how she aim to help a generous
five year olds dream at providing every
foster child with a toy and that's
exactly what little ally has been doing
the money raised through lemonade sales
buys bright yellow bags with various
goodies inside destined for kids in care
I put that stuff in so they can be
special and they can learn about Jesus
from the Bible Alya told kfo our kids in
Oklahoma's care system can expect to
find toys Bibles blankets and toiletries
in the yellow bags this incredible act
of kindness from such a young child was
unlikely to go unnoticed by her teachers
at school and so Alya got some extras
special recognition during a whole
school assembly in January 2017
what alaya didn't know however was that
a whole television crew was also coming
to this assembly and in due course a kfo
our reporter came into the room with a
microphone asking for a lion to come to
the front he explained to the
six-year-old that she'd been nominated
by her kindergarten teacher
Tiffany Robertson to receive the
channels weekly cash handout the pay it
forward program gives $400 to a nominee
who has paid it forward to someone else
the kindergarten teacher struggled to
fight back tears as she explained to
Alya why she nominated her she told her
you're my superhero you know why because
you do such amazing things for so many
kids
Robertson then handed a lie of four
hundred dollars to help her continue her
charitable work the emotional
presentation concluded with a huge
applause from Elias classmates and
teachers the school's principal
meanwhile had nothing but praise for
Alya she tearfully told Kor that she'd
never before seen a child so young with
such a servant's heart and she explained
how the six-year-old wants everyone
involved in the yellow bag initiative to
pray over every bag so how exactly has
charitable little Alya decided to use
the 400 dollar boost well Alya described
it as a gift from God by her teacher
started by buying 250 more yellow
backpacks the little girl didn't have
the best start in life herself but she
has continued to dedicate herself to
disadvantaged kids
well most six-year-old kids would want
to rush out and buy the latest toy Alya
did not instead she bought 100 more
blankets and a further 50 baby blankets
all of destined for Oklahoma's foster
children proud foster mom misty Robinson
told kfo our and we had more kids like
her more adults like her the world would
be a much better place undoubtedly most
people would find it hard to disagree we
all know the phrase when life gives you
lemons make lemonade
and that's exactly what little Alya did
we can probably all learn something from
her inspirational story of selflessness
