Embroidered roses
Hi guys, one more day of our challenge
I said at the beginning when we did the rose of Contoástico
that I would go back to this flower
and do it with different points
so today is the day to make another rose
this time I'm going to make a
a little different proposal
make mini roses
and very easy to draw
we're going to use the ruler today
I'm going to do it in this style here
bigger leaves, less leaves
and a bunch of roses at the top
get this idea here
let's draw then
so here I'm going to use the ruler
actually I could do this directly on the fabric
but I always prefer to do it here in the notebook first
to illustrate and define more or less the size
the amount of flowers, leaves
and then go to the fabric
so if you don't have the ruler
you can do it by hand too
you just have to try to make this circle very perfect
as right as you can
because of the point that we are going to use
it is necessary that it is more round
well, I'm going to make roses
with 7 and 6 mm
they are mini roses
so I'm going to put this one
and the good thing about this ruler
is that as it has these marks here
we can already mark the middle
it's ready to make the point
I'm going to make one here more or less
diagonally
6
I'm not going to mark the dot here
because I'm not going to use it in the notebook
it was just to illustrate
I'm going to make another one here
I'm going to make a smaller one here too
and then it has these little buttons
obviously
we're not going to do the same
I don't know if it's the same
but I think it's going to be cool
to have these little buttons
and here I'm going
to go with the call
I'm going to make some markings here
well, this swing on the table
was Mrs. Olivia
my cat
I love to play on the table
I think it's good
so let's choose the colors now
and embroider
the colors I chose for my roses
are these here
these two are from DMC 356
and this green here
is from the same anchor
262
so let's start embroidering
I'm going to start with the flowers
I'm going to use the spider stitch
to make my little roses
I already talked about it in the video
of the first roses
were the roses with the stitch
and I'm going to do it here
as they are very small
I'm going to do it in a very simplified way
but they will have a lot of volume
they will be very cute
before starting
some characteristics of this stitch
it always has to be the right circle
the reference point right in the middle
and here I'm going to make some legs
some straight points
that will be the base for me to make the stitch
it's like a tiara
more or less like we did in the picot stitch
in the snowdrop
but we're going to make a circular tiara
so it always has to be an odd number
of legs
as they are very small
I'm going to do it with 3
here I already learned
this one is not part of the stitch
I'm going to work with 6 threads
even though they are very small
I'm going to leave here
I didn't even draw
but you can draw the pen
usually when I do
from 5 legs
I already mark
to have a certain distance
but in the case of 3
I don't even need to
I'm going to leave the circle
and I'm going to the center
it's important to make this movement
from the outside to the inside
because if you do the opposite
when you make the second stitch
you already run the risk of pulling the thread
because they will always enter
in the same hole
I made one
I'm going to make another
and here I'm going to make another
I'm going to leave here
from any of them
it's not in the hole
where they are entering
it's a little inside
otherwise you won't be able to weave
and cut the thread
I approached the camera
to make it easier to show
so here I left
from the side
you can see it's not in the middle
it's on the other side
one of the legs
I'm going to start passing
from top to bottom
I'm going to pass this first one
from top to bottom
I'm doing
I'm passing with the back of the needle
so as not to run the risk of taking a thread
so I have to be careful
not to tension the thread
because it has to be loose
so that it has volume
only the 6 threads are not enough
it's important not to tighten the thread
because when you tighten the thread
it gets flatter
I'm going to pass this one over
and in the first one
it's always alternating
in the same way
I did in the oval
in the others
I like it looser
if you prefer
you can tighten the thread a little more
I recommend you do tests
until you see how you like it
if you don't know the stitches
I'm going to continue here
I'm going to do the smaller ones
with the darker tone
and the others with the same tone
at the beginning of the video
I said I was going to start with the flowers
and I really started
I made this rose
because I was very excited to do it
but for everything
I recommend that you do
first the other parts of the rose
and then make the roses in spider stitch
it's easier
I made this rose
then I made the buttons with full stitch
I made a lighter one
two with the darker tone
I made these wires very thin
with a single thread
because they are very thin
those leaves that stay
in the button of the rose
I made with a straight stitch
and the bigger ones
I made with double thread
this top part
I made with one thread
and here with two
the leaves I'm doing with granite stitch
it's a very cute stitch
very easy to do
it looks like the other one I showed
but it has a procedure
I left the last leaf
it will not cover 100%
I start with a straight stitch
in the middle
then I leave here
in the same place
I leave here in the same hole
at the beginning
I throw the thread here
because I think it sits better
I come back here
in the same hole
where I put the thread
I fix it
I do the same thing
on the other side
I fix it on the other side
I do the same thing again
on the other side
you can do whatever you want
it always come out in the same hole
in the leaves
the number of stitches
on one side
it has to be the same as you do the other
so that's why it's important to do it on one side and on the other
on one side and on the other
so you don't lose count
and it doesn't get unequal
let's see here
for me it's good
then you keep doing it until
until the sheet is the size you want
and it's good to make petals too
it's not just good to make leaves
it's very cute, very full
it looks like a full point
but its name is granite point
so now I'm going to finish my roses
my roses are ready
super full
the way I like
let's take the opportunity to recap
some secrets to make the spider point
very cute, very cool
first thing
the circle you make
the ideal is that it is well done
and the middle marked right
this will help you a lot
because then the legs we make
are all the same size
and then there is no problem
at the end of the point
have one leg longer than the other
and you have to keep making points to cover
another thing
use a lot of thread on the needle
this makes it more full
and you have to do less laps
so here even these roses
being very small
remembering that I made roses
with 6 and 7 millimeters in diameter
I used 6 threads
so if you are increasing
the size of the rose
there will be a point where you can use up to 12 threads
so stay tuned for that
the number of legs
also influences
if you make smaller roses
and then you make less legs
it gives this more chubby effect
if I made 5 legs
they would be a little tighter
so here I made 3
if you increase
to make a rose of 1 cm
up to 1.2 cm
you use 5 legs
if you increase
you increase
if it's a very big rose
you can use up to 9 legs
but you have to balance
quantity of thread
number of legs
diameter and everything else
point
the more you tighten
the more it gets flat
it loses this chubby effect
so it's no use
doing what I said before
which is to put a lot of thread
regulate the amount of legs
that you will have there
and you tighten too much
the point
it has to be loose
of course you can make it tighter
more closed
than mine
if you like
but to stay
with this loose effect
you have to be very careful
another thing
it's not a tip for the rose
for the point
but for the rose
I'm not going to make a knot
I like it like this
I want to leave it like this
but if you want
you can make some French knots
here in the middle
these knots
have to be done
after it is ready
and then you can do it
here in the middle
and it will help to hold
even more
this knot
a little more open
it's up to you
so that's it
I hope you enjoyed
thank you for watching
a kiss and until the next flower
