I hiked right out my front door and into the mountains above my home to spend the night! Why? I'm leaving the little mountain town where I've lived for almost two years, and this is how I'm saying goodbye. Living in Leavenworth, Washington, the quaint little Bavarian-inspired town right at the edge of the Cascade mountains, has been a dream. The access to nature, and most importantly the people here, are all truly extraordinary. To honor this lovely town I decided to backpack the first hike I did when I moved to Leavenworth, the Icicle Ridge Trail, which also happens to be in walking distance from my front door!
