Sarian's second weekend summary. I want to know if you like this app!
Let's go!
Hi everyone, we're back in this new video
to talk about the 5th and 6th round of the Coupe de France.
I'm going to give you a little debrief.
First of all, it's really, really nice to be back in the Coupe de France.
I missed the start of the season because I had surgery at the end of October
and it's been several months since I've done a Coupe de France.
So I'm really happy to be back in this circuit.
Especially since there are a lot of foreigners this year,
so the level is even higher and there are really nice races,
interesting laps and it's really cool.
And I'm also very happy to be back in my DN Land.
I don't know about you, but the first lap is one of the most stressful
because it's really the start of the competition.
You never really know what's going to happen.
So it's true that you have to be well prepared for this lap
and especially after that, we have a huge break,
a very long break before the next lap.
In any case, for us, the women, there are the Lachens,
there are also the laps that the men will have in addition.
And it's true that we easily have two hours, two and a half hours,
even three hours of break between the first and second lap.
So for us, it was the 8th.
So it's still a consistent break.
After that, during that break, it's nap time, it's relaxation.
We breathe a little and then, well, I take a nap.
But it's true that after that, you have to warm up a lot.
So at least 40 minutes before the lap, I really warm up to be ready
and to be awake on the track.
That's important.
The start of the competition went really well, so it's nice.
And especially that Sarrient is a track that is quite technical,
quite demanding, with a second line that is super steep
compared to the ones that could have been before.
So it's true that you have to stay quite focused.
And there, the start of the race went well,
but there is a particularity for that day.
It was that on Sunday, the weather was impossible on Sarrient,
like too much wind and everything.
And here we are on Saturday and they decided to run two races on the same day.
So you know, if we did the two races, there would be at least,
I don't know, more than five laps to do, at least in the day.
And it's true that in the end, since I went to the end twice,
it was nine laps, which is really huge.
As you can see, in the second half, I'm super badly parked
because in the end, I'm second,
I'm second in the first straight on the outside.
So it goes inside and then I inevitably lose all my speed
because I'm embarrassed.
And it's true that it's hard to start again in these cases.
So I'm fourth in the second half.
It makes me choose seventh in the final.
And fortunately, I manage to get the sixth place,
which brings me a little closer,
because you have to end up inside at the end of this first straight.
And so, the final, final, final, the start,
I did it, it was great.
And now I can be in the lead.
And even if it goes inside, I still keep a second place.
Of course, I'm embarrassed, so I can't ride as fast as I can,
but I'm trying to stay at a fairly close distance from my rails,
not to get distanced,
and to keep that momentum for the race.
Because the goal, now I'm second,
and the goal is to do everything to catch up with her
and to gain speed.
And in the end, it played out to the end,
and the push of the bike made me finish first in this race.
So that was really good news.
I'm so happy, I just finished my lap.
I win, it was hard to the end,
on the line, after a fourth place in the second half,
I was really on the outside.
In the end, I was able to get the sixth place.
And I got out of the start of the day, so that's super cool.
And that allowed me to be in the lead.
And in the end, that, if you play on the line,
and win the French Cup, that's nice.
And now, I have to get ready,
because there's the round 6,
so the races are coming one after the other.
There's a second race today,
so we're going to do several laps.
Go, go, go, we're getting ready again,
and we're off again for a full race.
In the end, there were a little less people present
on this second race, on this sixth race,
which means that instead of having 8th place,
we had 4th place.
And that's true, it's really nice,
because the 8th place,
it's going to be a hard time.
And this little win, it's still good.
And it's true that mentally,
it's hard to go back to a new race,
but we're here to ride,
it's good for the DNA,
and we're going to give it our all.
I'll explain, we were on the track at 6 in the morning,
and it was supposed to be around 9.30 p.m.,
maybe 9.00 p.m.
The final, we ran it at 9.30 p.m.,
so it was really intense.
The 8th lap, it's going pretty well,
the quarter-final is happening,
that's cool,
and on the other hand, there wasn't too much light,
so we didn't see the bosses as much,
and I remember saying to myself,
I have to stay lucid,
because it's getting dark,
there's fatigue,
we're starting to not see much,
and knowing that the gnocchi we ate,
well, we had to hold on until the end of the race,
because it was complicated,
but it did it.
The half is good, because I'm in the lead,
and so the grid at the start,
I can choose in the first few,
and that's cool,
because when you're inside,
in the final, it's so much better.
And now, we're going to the final, final, final, final, final!
Oh, Teletienne!
And now, I have a good start,
but it's not the best,
second start,
but we're doing well,
we're focusing on closing the inside,
we're pushing hard,
we're accelerating,
Merel took a really good first straight,
so I'm trying to keep up,
I'm going fast,
I can express myself better,
because I have a lot more space next to me,
and I'm trying to keep up,
I'm trying to keep up with the pace,
I'm giving everything,
but I think we were all really tired,
I was tired,
but I think all the girls,
we couldn't take it anymore,
and frankly, we gave everything,
and now, I'm in second place,
so that's really cool,
a beautiful lap,
and I'm very happy.

and we'll see you next time,
bye!
