When we think of home tech, usually the first things to come to mind are TVs and speakers,
or smart lighting and kettles. But often we forget about one of the most important things in the home,
which is air quality, and there's some interesting purified tech out there from a brand called Dreo.
Hey friends, hope you're well. So in this video, I'll share a few home tech products from Dreo,
who are kindly partnering with me on this video and have sent over four fascinating pieces of
home tech. First up is this beautiful Dreo water filter that is both form and function. So even
though it's technically fine to drink tap water, it does contain chemicals and substances that
aren't great for your body, things like fluoride or traces of metals. This thing filters out 99.99%
of contaminants through this filter here, and also doubles as a water dispenser with two
removable pitches and an automatic water filling sensor. But what I really like about this thing
is the fact that the filter purifies up to 4000 litres of water. It lives on the countertop,
and it's nice knowing that there's always purified water automatically topped up ready to go.
Next up is the Dreo humidifier. It's a portable and smart home compatible humidifier that helps
create some moisture in the air and avoids a really dry room. It's pretty simple to use,
fill up the 6 litre water tank, and it has a 60 hour runtime. It runs surprisingly really quiet
at only 28 decibels, and also has customisable ambient light for moody vibes in the room.
The internal dual intake design means that this thing covers 200 to 500 feet of room,
and it's perfect for these big birds of paradise I have in the living room, for example.
Without the humidifier, the plants seem to struggle to stay healthy, and personally,
for me, stepping into a room with a humidifier feels overall more pleasant than a dry room with
no airflow. Now this very unique looking fan is the Dreo Turbo Poly Fan. It doesn't just look cool,
it's designed in a way to produce really strong airflow that reaches 90 feet or 27 meters away
via turbo mode. What's more interesting is the turbine engine design. It's able to not only
direct strong airflow to one spot, but by tilting it up, it can also produce clean 360 airflow
throughout a 105 foot room, which is perfect for this high ceiling living room. This mode circulates
the whole room with air within a minute. The smart sensor can also auto adjust wind speed based on
room temperature, and it also has automated smart home integrations. And if RGB lights is your thing,
there's heaps of customisable colours and effects on this well-built fan.
Next up is Dreo's new Portable Air Conditioner. It's one of the quietest, drainage-free portable
ACs that combine smart features with a cutting edge ice cool system. Out of the box,
installation is simple with its hassle-free window panel design where you can run the tubing without
the need to cut or drill, so it's quite straightforward to install. Once set up,
I think this is absolutely one of the better portable ACs on the market, and the unique
vents at the top here have a 30 degree parabolic design. It's also conveniently a drainage-free
aircon, so it automatically evaporates excess water based on internal sensors and algorithms,
so basically it's a true portable AC that can be freely moved around to any room in the house
because this AC doesn't need a drainage hose to work. Just plug it in and turn it on, and it
helps cool up to 300 square feet room, so it's able to cover relatively large rooms,
and it's surprisingly quiet as well, and it's as quiet as 45 decibels while also purifying the air
with its dual filters, helping remove some larger dust particles in the room, useful in potentially
relieving allergy symptoms for example. It does get properly cold too, with what Dreo calls the
ice cool system hitting 8,000 to 10,000 BTU, which stands for British Thermal Unit. It's a
measuring unit for how much energy an air conditioner uses to remove heat from indoor air,
and 8 to 10k is plenty to completely cool down a 300 feet room. The ice cool feature also means
this AC's airflow can reach as far as 14 feet or over 4 meters, which helps with the cooling
coverage of a larger room. The smart LED display up front here shows the three-in-one functions.
There's a fan mode, cool mode, and dry mode, all maintaining the ideal temperature based on the
current room temperatures. You can also manually control the temperature and fan levels with the
touch controls, or with the included remote control that lives neatly right on this magnetic spot
Overall, this portable aircon improves on the common issues with portable aircons, like an
annoying level of noise, inconvenient installation, or uneven cooling in a room. The Dreo portable
aircon does a really good job addressing all of that and is actually a really well-designed
and built aircon that's able to be rolled around easily into any room.
And IoT, or Internet of Things, pulls together all the Dreo products into a true smart home
setup that talks to one another. The in-app experience allows you to set up automations,
it allows you to check usage patterns, and control all the tech from one app with a simple to use AI.
Convenience is one of the biggest drawcards for the Dreo lineup of products. Being able to use
your voice to ask Alexa or Google, for example, to immediately change the room temperature or
humidify the air is just a great quality of life touch.
So those are the four unique purifying tech from Dreo. It's a company that really is focused on
innovative smart home tech to help boost quality of life at home.
