Good morning guys and welcome back to a brand new video.
We are off again.
We have packed our bags and we are today
heading on a little trip,
but this time it's more of a staycation.
We're not flying, it's a very short drive.
We're staying in Manila,
but we're staying somewhere very special.
So welcome back to another video.
I've literally just packed up the case.
It's not a very big case.
Well, actually it is a very big case
for just such a small trip.
But when you have a baby,
packing for a couple of nights,
it's pretty much the same as packing for a month
because you still need the same amount of things.
You still need all the stuff.
What are you doing?
Hello.
You ready to go?
Go.
Okay, just arrived at the Peninsula Hotel.
Checking in for one night, a little staycation.
They kindly invited us.
So thank you so much.
Excited to be back here.
We're here last time for the afternoon tea
right in this area.
Hello.
So yeah, we were last here for the afternoon tea,
which was so, so nice.
Some of you guys may remember the vlog.
They've got such a nice kind of lobby area here.
Stunning.
One of our favorite hotels in Manila.
So happy to be back.
One night only, Juicy Vlog special.
Thank you so much, guys.
Thank you.
Oh, this is nice.
Oh, look at this.
Wow.
Beautiful.
What do you think?
It's so nice.
Very nice.
Something for Koda.
That's so cute.
Oh.
That is so sweet.
Look, want a hug?
Oh, he's got like the same outfit on as the guys.
That's so nice.
Yes, please.
Thank you so much.
Thank you.
Wow, they've set up.
They've set up like an afternoon tea for us.
Look at that.
Thank you so much.
Thank you.
Wow.
We are blown away by this room.
We were not expecting this.
We got chatting to the guys at Peninsula
and they were kind of saying we wanted to come back
because we did the afternoon tea.
We kind of wanted to do that.
And then we're like,
we started chatting about staying for a night.
We were like, yeah, cool.
That'd be nice and relaxing.
We'll stay for a night.
Maybe use the gym, the pool.
But we did not expect them to be hooking us up
with a room quite like this.
So let's have a look.
Honestly, blown away.
Like not just a normal hotel room.
This is unbelievable.
This is like a suite or something, surely.
It's crazy.
There's a toilet in here,
which Coda wants to walk into.
So I'm just going to shut that door.
There's so much space for him as well.
And it's a really nice soft carpet.
So he can, of course he just wants our shoes.
Misty, you're in a brand new place.
Explore.
So we come in and we've got,
oh, say the thing.
Oh, we're doing one of those.
The classic.
I think we should do one.
Okay, well, in that case,
it is time for a Juicy Vlog room tour.
Go.
That's the new Juicy Vlog room tour intro.
So they've set up a,
it's like a mini afternoon tea.
We've got some fresh orange juice.
We've got some pastries, some fruits.
Wow.
We've got a nice lounge area just here
with a big sofa on.
And they've given Coda a little teddy bear
and a mug and a tiny mini suitcase.
Oh, oh my God.
I actually can't cope with the detail.
Welcome master Coda.
I didn't see that.
That is just the attention to detail.
I just feel like emotional
at how they've really thought of him.
That is just so sweet.
Oh.
There's a little jeepney here.
Oh, there's some treats here.
Wait, no.
That's not edible, is it?
Is that whole thing edible?
Is that an edible jeepney?
Are you serious?
No, it's not.
Or is it, am I just going to eat plastic?
It is, look, you can see the chocolate.
Oh my goodness.
And we've got some of these treats here as well.
That is incredible.
Wow.
The detail here.
Mr. George Warrington, Miss Lucy D'Agostino.
Wow.
I'm actually a chocolate jeepney.
What?
We've got some coffee pods here.
Lovely coffee machine.
Yeah, a whole coffee machine here.
Coda, what's this?
What's this?
Coffee.
Then we come into the bedroom
and the view is incredible.
We've got a view of BGC here actually.
Let's see if we can see our old condo.
Wow.
Yeah, I think we can.
Can you see?
Oh, look at that view.
That's the old building we used to be able to see.
That's really super stunning.
Yeah.
That's our old building.
Yeah, look, right next to it.
So I will put an arrow right now to our old condo.
And then here we have our bedroom, which is huge.
Nice big bed.
Coda crawling around.
We've got a nice big TV on the wall.
Mirror, so I can check myself out in the morning.
Make sure I don't look too unappealing for the vlog.
And then you come through here.
Wow.
Okay, follow me through here.
You come into like a world of mirrors.
How many Georges do you want?
There might be enough to go around.
Yeah, look, there you go.
Tons.
That'd be Lucy's worst nightmare.
Like five of me.
Oh, they have given Coda a robe.
Look at it.
It's so cute.
That is so cute.
And then guys, the bathroom.
Look at this.
This is so grand.
There's a whole bath.
Baby bath for Coda, so thoughtful.
All right, apparently Coda's playing with something.
What's he got?
Uh-oh.
You're playing with your suitcase.
You're a traveling baby.
Are you a traveling baby?
Oh, is it baby products?
It's baby products.
Oh, wow.
Like a tooth gel, little cup.
That's so sweet.
And a rubber duck in the bath.
Oh, yeah.
And then we have separate shower
and I'm guessing, yes, facilities.
Perfect.
Oh, some nice products here as well.
Actual Peninsula products.
Wow, guys, I'm so excited to be here.
This is so nice.
This view, man.
Wowsers.
And I have to say,
often in hotels you get like limited equipment,
but this is like a normal gym, a good normal gym.
I was working out and someone brought me over
like a lemon cold towel from the fridge
and sprayed down my mat for me.
I'm super attentive.
I've got a lovely view of the pool,
which we'll show you a bit later.
But it's just been such a lovely,
luxurious experience so far.
And we just feel super welcome here.
Everyone's been so friendly.
And I'm getting a really, really good workout in
because I know that we've got a full dinner plan
happening this evening.
And we're gonna be trying out
several of the restaurants here.
So working out always makes me feel so good as well.
So yeah, feeling super happy.
And I'd better finish my workout now.
It's a hard one.
All right, workout complete.
And I've just come outside to the pool area.
I'm not gonna get in yet because I'm in my gym stuff,
but I'm gonna head upstairs.
Coda's napping in the room.
George is editing a vlog.
And hopefully he'll wake up soon
and then we can come and swim together.
But it's actually really nice.
It's kind of shaded slightly from the buildings around.
And there's a little bit of a breeze.
You can probably see it in my hair,
which means it's not gonna be too warm,
but it's just so nice and peaceful.
Little sneak preview behind me,
but I'm sure we'll film it
when we actually get in in a second.
But yeah, really, really, really good workout.
Super impressed.
I kind of didn't want to leave.
I kept thinking of other exercises I could do
because of the extent of the equipment there.
There's just so much.
So you guys, I think if you're staying here,
100% recommend checking out the gym.
I think it's open like six to 10 as well.
So really, really long hours.
But yeah, feeling really good.
Feeling very sweaty.
And this sun right now isn't helping.
But I think we're gonna head back up to the room now
and eat some more chocolate.
Balance is key.
Okay, we have both had a workout in the gym.
And now we're all robed up, including Coda.
And we're gonna head down to the pool.
It is a little, the clouds are over.
So it's not actually that sunny,
which for us is a good thing
because we don't want Coda to have too much sun exposure.
Obviously, he has delicate skin.
But it's nice and warm outside.
So quick dip in the pool.
And then we need to come back up and get ready,
get changed, get freshened up, showered
for our dinner this evening
because we are going on a culinary journey,
they're calling it.
And yeah, the team here at Peninsula
are taking us around some of their restaurants this evening.
So we'll bring you guys along.
Looking forward to it already
because I haven't eaten after the gym.
So I'm gonna be extra hungry for dinner.
But Coda, what do you think of your robe?
I think that's so cool, man.
Does it have his name on it?
No, it's just Peninsula.
Oh, look, there's a little bear on yours.
Are you wearing it down to the pool?
Yeah, shall we?
Should we be that family?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Coffee, good boy.
That family just walking through the hotel lobby in robes.
I don't know if that's actually a thing here.
It's a thing when you're in spa hotels.
I'm not sure if this is actually a spa hotel.
It's a spa.
All right, that's good enough for me.
I think it's an apologize later situation.
Lucy's eating half the jeepney's roof.
And I actually ate this wheel off the side.
Very, very nice dark chocolate.
We're trying to figure out what exactly is edible.
We think even this may be edible.
Oh, whoops.
This part is also edible.
Yeah, eat the Makati sign.
I think it is.
Yeah, all right.
It's white chocolate.
Okay, cool.
Are you ready?
Yes.
Let's go.
Wait, the whole sign's edible.
Is that chocolate?
No.
Let me try that.
I'm gonna throw up.
It is, right?
Are you sure?
Yeah.
And it's good chocolate.
Yeah, it's really good.
It's all made of chocolate.

Really nice pool here.

Didn't know anything about the pool
or the other facilities of this hotel.
Because last time we came,
it really was just for the afternoon tea.
It was just for the food.

So we are starting out dinner at the pool bar.
Just where we left off a few minutes ago.

That was such a good night.
Lucy and I have been fortunate enough
over the last five years,
since doing YouTube and everything,
to have some amazing restaurant invitations,
some incredible dining experiences in different cities,
towns, countries all over the world.
But tonight, something about that.
That was the director of marketing for Peninsula

And guys, it's a Friday night here,
so he didn't have to do that.
He's probably wanting to get home,
but he stayed with us till 8 p.m.

I had a few cocktails,
then had a glass of wine, an amazing red wine.
Then right at the end, I had a whiskey.
My first whiskey since our cruise.

that was my last whiskey.
