Good morning, guys. Welcome to another vlog. I need to be quick because Lucy and Koda are already
in the car. We're about to head over to Brighton. We also just had an incredibly exciting delivery
show up, which is our new bed. I'm not sure. I mean, I guess I'll have to build it later
because we've been living. We've basically been sleeping on a mattress. Shall I bring my water
with me? Yes, let's do that. We've been sleeping on a mattress on the floor since we moved in.
Just arrived, these two boxes from a company called ATM Living, but that is a mission for later.
Have I got everything? I don't even have my phone. Are you the same as me? When someone's
waiting for you or you're in a rush? Is Lucy taking it? Here it is. She's calling me. Hello?
Yeah, in a bottle. Okay. Yes, I will bring a bottle of milk. Okay. I need to remember to bring Koda's
milk, which would be helpful. Right. Phone, keys, beds later on. I'm going to show you guys that.
Koda's milk. Then we're good to go. We will see you in Brighton.
Hello guys. Welcome back to another video. I believe George has already started this, but
it's the first time you're seeing me. So hello from me. It's currently set in the back of the
car, waiting for George to return something in next on our way over to Brighton. I have
not done my lipstick very well today. Sorry about that. But we are on the final countdown. We
literally leave in a matter of, I mean, you could probably say in hours now. We are running final
errands. George has got a haircut booked in tomorrow. I've got my nails booked in for tomorrow.
We're getting all ready to go. Packing has pretty much finished. Well, it's not packed,
but like there's big piles and all we need to do is put it in the suitcases and tick off the final
list. Sorry about that noise. Koda's got a little pretend remote control that he's enjoying playing
with. So I'm not sorry because he's loving it. Hey baby. Good boy. Oh, you're giving me the
remote. Thank you. This is the remote I was talking about. It's very cool. It's got music.
It's got numbers. Spin it back. Thank you. Thank you. You want the camera? Oh, you were trying to
trade me the remote for the camera. I see. And I took both. Sorry. Do you want to trade? Okay,
there you go. There's the camera for you. Maybe not. He's got a thing for touching screens at
the moment. He keeps touching our TV screen. We need to mount it to the wall before it gets
too damaged and there's too many fingerprints. Anyway, welcome back to another video and make
sure you're subscribed for lots of travel vlogs. I can't believe I can say that.
Travel vlogs coming soon. Give the video a thumbs up if you're excited to see them
and comment below. I asked this on my Instagram and I got some amazing responses, but I thought
I'd ask here as well. Are there any new spots open in Manila that we need to try? Preferably
like BGC or around it, but we can travel. Obviously we're going to get a car again,
but any coffee shops, any cafes, restaurants, fun things for kids to do. Is there anywhere you can
recommend us that may have just opened? Or maybe it's just somewhere you've not seen us go before.
Get your recommendations down in the comments. If you have been to Manila before, if you live
in Manila, I know I've got a lot of people who watch these videos who are based there
or live there. So we'll be very much reading the comments on this video. Uh-oh. Uh-oh,
did you drop it? Because I'm going to need to get out of the car and get it for you.
Yeah. All right. I better finish vlogging then, hadn't I? Let me just end this clip. Yeah,
so comment below because we're looking for new spots to try. And like I said before in another
video... Uh-oh. Uh-oh. I know, baby. As I said before... How about this caterpillar?
As I said before in another video, we aren't staying in Manila for the whole trip this time.
We've got, I think, five trips out, which is crazy. Lots of moving around. Back to daily
travel vlogs coming very soon. We're not going to be in Manila loads, but when we are there,
we want to try new spots. Last time we were there, we went back to all of our old favourites.
This time we want to try some new ones because it's not been as long of a time. It's not like
we miss these places quite as much because it's only been a few months. Who wrote the
songs for all these kids' toys? They are so great. Anyway, we're going to head to Brighton now and
we'll catch you guys in a bit. We're going to get some food, some coffee and do a little bit
last-minute shopping. All right, we've been doing a little bit of shopping. Nothing too serious,
as that song said. Nothing that we needed yet. No, as usual. This is supposed to be our last
kind of shop before Manila if we needed anything. I really want to find a hat. We really needed some
candles, which we got. Candles we did not need, but we bought candles. I needed socks. I bought
some socks. Very interesting. We're going to have some lunch now. We're going to go to Wagamama
because we're craving that. We haven't been for, I want to say, years.
Do you want a hand, Emma? Can you do my shoelaces up, please? Are you feeling all right now, George?
Is this what it's come to? Are you feeling all right now? I'm feeling slightly better. George
went round the shop a minute ago and he went, oh God. I said, what's the matter? He said,
this is so heavy. The tiny bag has got a pair of socks in and the bag on his back has got a couple
of bottles of milk in. This bag on my back is really heavy. And I said, what you're carrying
is heavy. Have you considered what I'm carrying? A 12.5 kilo baby on my front. So as long as you're
all right. Yeah, I'm feeling a bit better. You're getting there. I could do with some lunch. Yeah,
can't wait. Um, okay. So we've got like a 10 minute walk now to lunch. We thought we'd do
the baby carrier today instead of the buggy, which Koda loves being in here and it's really fun for
him. Um, but it's a lot. I often get tired from a day walking around Brighton anyway, without him
on my front. Um, so part of me kind of does regret it, but it does mean we don't have to wait for
lifts and stuff. And we're not like in the way with the buggy, much more agile. Yeah. We can go
downstairs and like nipping and out of places much quicker. Um, but we haven't been, we haven't
been into town for so long that we feel a little bit rusty. It feels really, we could go that way.
Go this way. Yeah. Yeah. Um, I mean, yeah. Oh, Brighton is way quieter than say London,
for example, but we just felt like it was so busy and Lucy was like getting bumped into and someone
nearly ran into her. And I think we just spend a little bit too much time in quieter areas in
the countryside lately. We're a little bit out of practice with the city.
Cheese boys enjoying a slice of cheese while watching the birds outside.
Cheese and broccoli are his number ones at the moment. So we've always got slices of cheese in
our bags and he also loves birds. We love coming out to meals with him. I think it's so good for
him to sort of be used to that. We've always done it since he was born. And I think he's,
I mean, sometimes it's harder than others and sometimes he needs a lot more distraction,
but I think it's definitely really good. Do you want some water?
Our side dishes have arrived. The edamame beans with salt on. These remind me of Japan. We were
in Osaka. I bought a bag of them from 7-11, sat at the train station waiting for the bullet train
and just ate a pack of this. So good. That's Japan life. Pan at some point. Not sure if it's this
year. And we've got these chicken yakitori as well, which are so good. Koda's having a good time
having his peanut butter sandwich, which we're not sure what it's supposed to bring in, but
gotta feed your baby. Yeah, they had like a mini ramen, but it would be too salty for him. He's
only one. When he's like two or something, he loves his peanut butter. My main dish just arrived.
You want to vlog? Look at this. It's like a, um, it's a curry. It's like a Thai inspired curry
effectively with chicken. Yeah. Oh my God. So many chopsticks for babies. Oh my goodness. No,
they're not. They might be. I don't know. Oh wow. You can eat with these, I think.
Eat your peanut butter sandwich with some chopsticks. Am I wrong? Oh yeah, look.
Wow. Should we feed you something? What can I give you?
Cheese. Yeah. There you go.
Good boy. Chopstick. Very good. We'll get you eating ramen in no time. Yeah.
Squeeze a little bit of lime. Oh, squeezed in my face.
Oh, squeezed on my neck. It looks amazing, doesn't it? I think it's coconut based.
Some rice. Let's try some rice and sauce. The chicken's been like grilled. It tastes
kind of smoky with some chilies in there as well. So it's a slight kick.
Good. Now I'll just sit here staring at you until my food comes.
The chicken yakisoba noodles whilst also trying to feed Coda.
All right. Finished up our lunch, haven't we? Was it nice? Coda's been looking at dogs and
waving at people through the window. Next stop is a coffee and we're going to try a new coffee shop,
new to us anyway, since probably getting back to the UK. This year will be two years since we've
probably been back. We haven't really explored. Surprise, surprise. I think it's because I have
my favourites and I stick to them. I haven't really explored any new coffee shops. So that
was definitely overdue. So we're heading to a place around the corner to have a quick coffee.
I do want to find a new cap, but I have discovered that I have a rather unusual
shaped head after trying Fiorentina. So we will try.
But we'll definitely get some coffee. Hopefully we'll find a hat.
Let's stay out. It's nice to do this.
What's this Coda? Coffee. Coda also says coffee now. Can you say coffee?
This is very, very good.
Why are you standing so close?
Why are you standing so far away? Lucy just said this is one of the best cup of coffee she had.
Reminders of Arabica in Manila or in London. There's Arabica in London. Oh no, it's closed in
Manila now. Oh my God. Yeah. I forgot again. Oh yeah. I was just about to go back to Arabica.
That's hilarious. So we'll have to go to London to actually go to Arabica. Yeah. True. Anyway,
very, very good coffee. I finished mine. We're going to head home now. Our shopping trip has been
unsuccessful, but we've had a great day out. I think it's been nice to do this before we
head out of the UK for quite a while. It's been nice to do this and appreciate our
town just next to our hometown that we don't come to, but we should come to.
Just got back from the gym. I'll be quiet because Coda's asleep now. It's now
9pm. How's it 9 o'clock? I finished my workout an hour ago. Crazy. Yeah. Good workout.
Getting ready for that hot weather. Very excited. I'll quickly unbox something here with you
as we end this video. I did a quick H&M order for Coda for our Philippines trip.
And I just want to quickly unbox it all on camera and show you because it's really cute.
George, look at this. I haven't even seen this. What is that? It's like a hooded beach towel
with ears. It's like a little, it's like, um, cotton, really nice cotton,
a little bit of a flannel effect. Um, and it just means that the beach,
you can be like fully covered up in something quite airy still. Cute. Then I got him a little
same sort of thing, like a bucket hat and this cute, like, oh, it's got strings
in this lovely like linen, beige-y colour. Then, I mean, people might say, why are you putting him
in socks in 30 degree heat? Mosquito bites. I like tucking his trousers into his socks. They're
100% cotton, um, super thin socks. They've got grippy bottoms so he can still like walk around
and crawl around and stuff. Um, but I just feel like in some times when there's like loads of
mosquitoes, it's good to cover his skin up and will keep him cool with a fan. Um, that's not
planned anyway. And then, what are these? I can't remember what these are. Little trousers in blue.
Two pairs.
Then I got him this little set that's like ribbed and it's just plain, kind of like a stony colour
with matching trousers. He's currently wearing, yeah, age one and a half to two and he's a year
old. So hopefully this stuff will last him into like summer in England as well, which would be
good. Um, and lastly, oh my God, George. These little sandals for the beach because I thought
if the sand's hot and we want him to walk around and crawl around and stuff, he's going to need
something on his feet. So, got him some. His first pair of sandals, which are super cute. Um, so yeah,
that's the end of the haul. That's the end of the vlog. Thank you for coming along today.
The next video you see, we will be at Gatwick Airport, flying to Manila and
landing in Manila and getting to a condo and all that good stuff. So make sure you subscribe to
see that and we're super excited to be back and we can't believe it's come around so quickly.
Actually, it's gone really quick for us. Um, anyway, thanks so much for watching. If you
enjoyed this video, give it a big thumbs up, subscribe if you're new and we'll see you
in the Philippines. Thanks for watching.
