Our great pyrenees, Honey, had 8 puppies and they're so precious! Today we're checking on them to make sure they made through their first night without any complications. #puppies
Alright, good morning everybody. I'm looking crazy, but I had to show you all this. This is the sweetest thing I've ever seen.
I forgot we have puppies here.
So, check this out.
Sleepy mama.
With her babies crawling on them.
So cute.
She had a big day yesterday.
I think they're looking for milk.
In the wrong place.
By her face.
The puppies are looking for you.
These puppies are looking for you.
Easy.
Are you hungry?
Oh, easy.
Oh my goodness, there's a puppy back here.
Come on, honey.
Honey, watch out.
Honey, you got a puppy back there, bud.
I think you're laying on a puppy.
Get up. Come here.
Yeah, back behind there she is.
Oh, there's a couple falling out all over the place.
Are you okay?
You were getting squished, weren't you?
She had a baby squished up against the wall.
I heard it.
I was like, where is this little puppy?
There's so many.
So, it's hard to keep track of where they are.
Because they're all piled on top of each other too.
Cute.
She eats their poop.
Is that what they do?
Is that from under the top?
It looks like one of the old ones.
Can I grab your babies for a minute?
It's small.
I had eight babies too.
Imagine doing it all at one time.
Oh, look at that baby.
You did so good.
Look at this cute baby.
You say good morning?
Baby Cohen said what?
He wants to see the baby cats.
These are baby dogs.
They're puppies.
Let's not get too close.
Let's give them a little space.
Cohen hasn't seen them yet.
Good morning.
Say good morning.
It's actually the afternoon.
Cohen just woke up from his nap.
Let me see those.
Those are his.
Can you take them for just a second?
Let me have it.
I got big sister help
so I can get Cohen's snacks back
and come out.
We are going to do a pup date.
Check on these puppies
and put their little collars on them.
This will help us tell them apart.
They all look different
so I know we could probably
tell them apart anyway
but it will be a lot easier to distinguish
the boys from the girls
and then as people start to
put a deposit down
to claim a puppy
we'll be able to keep track of
which ones are still available
and which ones aren't.
We've got these cute little collars
and we're going to go check on them right now.
What we need to do with any new mom
is first check on mom.
How are you mom?
Do you need anything?
Do you want me to refill your food?
We've been just giving her like free feeding her.
You're doing so good.
You need some more water?
You need some water and food?
I'm coming to check on your babies.
I spent all morning
brushing her coat out
trimming her nails.
Oh, the sweetest.
Alright.
What do you think?
That one's leg.
Do you like that one?
Don't pull it's legs. You can pick it up if you need to.
You finding mama?
Hi baby.
The tired mama.
Look at this one. This one's lost.
This puppy's lost.
Hi baby.
Can you...
Do you know where the little scale is?
Is that the baby?
Cohen?
Why are you paying attention to all these babies
instead of me?
Aww.
What do you think?
Cohen?
Yeah?
Oh my goodness, look at this little guy.
Trying so hard
to get up to mama.
Alright, so I have this
kitchen scale. We're going to weigh each puppy.
We are going to pick a collar for each puppy
and then we're going to record the weight.
That's what we're going to do.
Okay, I think we're ready.
I think we're ready to start.
I've got the scale.
It is
tear it out to zero.
Puppies.
Collars. Chart.
Okay, we're good.
Oh, the yawn.
Did you see that?
Okay, this is a little boy.
This little boy
is going to wiggle, wiggle, wiggle.
One point...
This is hard.
I might need a little bowl to put him in.
Okay, we're going to work smarter,
not harder. We got a bowl
that we are going to
put the puppy in.
The littlest boy. He's so
cute. One pound
and eight point two ounces.
You're trying to
nurse on my dress.
You get red. You're so little.
Aw, he's crying.
Give him a kiss.
Okay, say bye red.
There you go
red. Here's another
boy and he's got the badger
masking on both sides.
Pretty even. Let's see if he will
sit still. Okay, blue.
Will you hold blue?
I'm holding him.
So precious. Is he heavier than the other?
Yeah. Just a little bit.
Just by two ounces.
Point two. Point two ounces.
Alright, blue.
Aw, a little yawn.
This one is a little girl.
Look, she's got
one spot over...
She's got a spot over one eye
and both of her ears are masked.
No other color.
But it's so cute. The
Great Pyrenees have these double dewclaws
if you see. On their back
paws they have
two dewclaws. I'll show you honey's.
But that's because they're mountain dogs
and that helps them to keep their balance.
It's actually attached
to a tendon so it is very important.
Sometimes vets will tell you just to
cut them off but
there's a reason that they're there.
Anyway, let's see how much this big girl
weighs. She is a big girl.
Yes!
One pound, twelve
point, I'm going to say
two ounces. Three.
Collared up
and cute!
And looking for milk.
You're a princess now.
There's Buddy. He's so cute.
He has like a heart on his
forehead. You see him?
Hi! And he's got
this big spot on his butt.
Aww. He's a cutie.
Hi Buddy. And he has a mustache.
Next best thing.
Look at his mustache.
Ugh.
We'll have to check
these collars every day to make sure that
we loosen them when they need to be.
But they are breakaway collars
so
if they get stuck on anything the collar
will actually, it's a safety
mechanism, it'll just pull apart.
This one is a little girl.
Look at this little girl.
Now the other girl
only has a mask over one eye.
She's got like
one ear is not masked.
I thought that was white.
They're just all so cute.
She's light. She might be,
I think she's the rump of the litter.
One pound five point
six and that's purple.
Pretty little pink.
Okay, this little boy
badger masks,
brown spots. Honey badger
mask to be exact. So cute.
This one's gonna be black.
There you go.
This little
guy, let me just make sure.
Yep, boy.
He's so cute. His
coloring is so dark like his
mask. See how dark
his mask is?
It goes up into
and fades into brown. So cute.
You're a little on the small side too.
Now he's awake.
One pound
seven point six ounces.
We've got silver
or gray?
Gray is an actual name.
Silver could be too. Hey,
silver. Hi, silver.
Sorry, honey. I was trying to get the last puppy
but it is latched on.
Sorry, mamas.
Or a marshmallow or something.
You're so good with all these
babies.
Look at his little milk mustache.
Oh my goodness. This guy's a tank.
Okay, he's here.
This one is my
favorite. He's got
all these spots on him.
Like one, two, three,
four. He's got
the black mask, a little black
nose.
He's like black
not brown.
You see that? Yeah, I see that.
Alright, let's go
little guy.
One pound.
Twelve point five ounces.
Dude, he's the heaviest.
Oh, look at him.
Buddy, I would
be tempted to keep you.
If you did,
what would you name him?
He'd need a cool name.
His dad's name is Canyon.
His mom's name is
Honey. I think we would name him like
Pilot Ranger, maybe.
Or maybe he could be
Ranger. Ranger would be a cool name.
If you guys missed it, John wanted to
name our surprise baby, Cohen.
We didn't know he was a boy, but he
was saying if it was, he wanted to name him Pilot
Ranger. Half
of it was a joke, but
part of me thinks he was serious, so we could always
name this guy Pilot Ranger.
Or just Ranger. Ranger
would be a good name since he'd be
in the property and stuff, guarding it.
You want to see the baby?
He just pushed it.
It's a puppy. Look at his little
tongue sticking out.
Aww, baby dog.
What do you think?
Alright, we got
collared up pups.
