Not Sure We'll Ever Top This Birthday!

[Music] like this is not it's not right this cannot be right it's already 2011 and I haven't gotten anything yet I don't know I've never done this before it's Elena's birthday tomorrow and I'm staying up late making our cake I think she thinks she's just getting a chocolate cake cuz she saw the cocoa powder and she was like she asked me if I could do a different flavor then chocolate and vanilla but we don't really have any extra ingredients I told her anyway it is a chocolate cake but I made a peanut butter frosting Okay never done this before it's a weird texture I've never I don't I don't know I follow the recipe I don't usually but I did and maybe it led me wrong I'm not sure but it tastes good and I feel like the texture you try it like the in your mouth oh yeah it's really fluffy they creamy peanut butter yeah it's right mhm is that nice okay and I made a chocolate ganache the hope is that this looks really awesome I don't I don't know I know it could either be really great or it could be like well you tried I don't like I'm afraid to like mush this too much I'm afraid it won't be as fluffy You Know M I don't know you guys have yall ever made a cake like this this is the weirdest buttercream [Music] texture yeah it's not really spreadable by any means is very much like some sort of substance that is not I don't know I don't know what but I'm just trying to get it kind of a even lighter in the middle [Music] I said this might not go well I did preface it that way didn't I I think you did do I need to make it colder first maybe I should just use parchment paper we don't have any do cling wrap to like kind of press it on look it looks like a hamburger cake now it's got like a theme to it I like it I'm going to use the cling wrap I'm just trying to get there's some pades in clean this a slice of cheese and it with some mustard dripping off you're about to get fired I mean I mean it really does look like it could be that you could tell her that that's what it is and she would love it it's not going to look like that by the time I'm done I hope I'm saying you could just you could you could stop this is definitely something it's going to look better it's kind of looking like something from like one of those cake shows I will give you no not in a bad way like not in a bad way nailed it is what you're thinking of and there's no nice way to put that okay maybe it is nailed it I followed a recipe for this frosting Okay this is why I don't follow recipes we would do the same right this is just me throwing things at the wall to see what'll stick not this icing that's for sure might stick to the wall just won't stick to this cake like this is not it's not right this cannot be right it should not be this wet you know what I'm saying look at all the cracks in the cake since we did that we pulled it up we done put a hole in that thing I thought it was fine I know you I know you did just even more evidence that you were willing to light in my face call it whatever you want psychosis I don't know but it was the right call okay taking that off try that see more look it's the color look at the color color difference this is what peanut butter frosting should look like I made like a normal buttercream like I normally would but I Ed peanut butter powder and just added that instead now that what is that I don't even know I guess I just left it in the filling though hopefully it's not too much is that going to be too much peut but on a little yeah look at this this is like hello buttercream that's what we were going for before well definitely looks more like frosting to me yeah and it's lighter it's not going to be like eating like a glob of peanut butter I don't wow what you that looks a lot better doesn't it yeah it doesn't look like a hamburger anymore you ruined it you had a perfect hamburger we're going to make cake we're going to make some uh bucke guys with this you guys know what you guys know what Buck guys are do people call different things peanut butter balls or whatever it's like oh no it's too much buye too much hey today is the day hey okay this is from Tyler that's cool cuz I had a purple flower happy birthday dear Elena I hope you have an amazing 11th birthday we all love you so so so much have a great day love your big sis Tyler what is it it's a bracelet thank you Tyler okay you're [Music] welcome today is a big day for Elena it's her birthday she's 11 oh my gosh we're out and this is actually the first time I think right John that we've ever both been able to take her out cuz usually it's like one of us parents goes and the other one stays with the other kids but we have grandparents and neighbors watching some of our kids very nice neighbors so we've just got Elena and Cohen of course he's still nursing so he's with us um celebrating her birthday our first stop is for some food quick bite to eat and then we're going where tell them to the mall to the mall all right where are we eating today lady I'm not sure how to pronounce it Barcelona how you get in there that way that way let's do ity buy boyyy side is just salad okay wait the side salad is what juice yeah get your juice now that look [Music] nice and then they have to these yep we you some at the mall that's the only thing that's totally Glu andree wow Lany that looks good that's fine thank you awesome thank you so much wow I don't know if I'm going to eat all this all right L's ready to go I told Lany now we can go to the mall first stop get us some coffee and then we can sip it while we [Applause] shop like look her little keychains and like she's still like our oh you almost fell our little girl you know she's big but she's not it's a sweet age we got the boys here Cobo yeah let's [Music] go what we getting here today I don't know it's at a mall I never been to a mall you never been to a mall think [Music] so before we get started we need to know what are you hoping to find [Music] here you no idea she's never been too a long this is insane she has when she was like too small to remember it so this is a whole new world for see everything let's go A Whole New World of course these two two pe's and a pod right here what are you what is she doing oh my goodness what have you done I don't it didn't let me go over oh you have to do it the same time try one more time I thought l is going to try you you want Mom to do it so you can have it is that what you're saying [Music] yes oh no she's going to do it again Watch I already know okay this is it then I'm done last one [Music] wild oh so close you have to do it one more time do I have to do I may I think I have to do over time actually someone's not going to Vegas you ain't getting it Danny are you sure try one more time f one literally one more time and that's it look they have a new iPhone 7 that you can win you could have bought that with the amount of money that you've almost spent on here no [Laughter] oh I just spent like two4 to take $10 at least oh at least more than that yeah probably 12 to $14 happy birthday Lany there's a lesson for you and everyone and everyone watching we were just trying to teach everyone was so close did you think I might you saw me win the monkey if you guys don't know I won the big old monkey so so anything she won a big monkey that is worth maybe 50 it's the experience that [Music] [Applause] [Music] matters what's going on here they goty stuff what's going on here stand right this dress it's not the easiest thing to get out of so I was like there's a chance that something going to exposed and I just didn't want to Su them that I thought that started spraying them they would have ran away real quick that yeah it would it would definitely dampen the L very quick look you just give a quick squirt or two and they're running there's so much machine stuff here oh my goodness let's get it all pushing pushing pushing pushing pushing pushing [Music] [Music] pushing it's already two1 and I I haven't gotten anything yet so Elena's struggling uh for some a allall can be overwhelming and also everything is so much more expensive than you can find them online too we have found the store almost like all of their stuff here is on sale look okay so first these were these are buy one get one half off and they're already on so you need to get like four of them so it's $8 and then $4 for the second so a normal price is 13 so eight it's cheaper cheaper to get two than it was normally to get one these are $5 off and buy one get one and they're playing this and then this for Mar because she wants a backpack and she loves cats and her birthday's coming up her birthday's in a few days can you even believe we're standing in F or E right now I know hard a CD in sight oh my gosh but they do have CDs here still we're in a the store is still here they're still playing the same music but none of the people that work here know what it is because they're all too young it's Elena's age for the record I found Elena's birthday wish list notebook and there was a page and a half that was all just like Pusheen squish mellow stuffy so this is actually what she's been thinking about literally I mean for months she's been thinking and putting these on her list so it's not like a surprise that this is her week we were going to turn around we weren't even going to go down this way we were just going to walk back the way we came with our heads hung low but not today she found the [Music] jackpot in and then we're going to bring a l kind of surprise for Laney or something all right I'm excited what is going on there what is going sh be quiet come and quiet wait your eyes closed okay play open [Music] [Applause] [Music] eyes oh how did do that did do that all right we found
