Pregnant and Gardening!

remember you say good morning good morning good morning oh no we're too late the sun is already up which means it's gonna be um baking in like three seconds anyway we are started seeds on my porch and they're doing great but it's time to get them in the ground it's actually like time like a couple weeks ago I'm kind of glad I didn't because it rained a ton and they might have drowned but I built these garden beds and so um we're gonna we're gonna arrange them the way I want them hopefully get the base of them started I don't think I have enough dirt today to to fill all of them completely but I have some so the goal is just to get a few of the things that urgently just need to get planted so come along enjoy and I'll give you guys a full on mini garden tour later this is the first time I've ever done a garden so it's incredibly amateur and it could all die I don't really know I'm just out here just driving anyway you know we'll see all right let's go YouTube [Music] are you in Labor ma'am if not get to work [Music] what you got got some rotted wood John we're gonna be putting that in the bottom all right guys well if you didn't know Danielle's pregnant we've said it a couple times people didn't know we still don't know so we gotta tell everybody I just wanted to get a idea um how many people listen to country music because the next song that I'm about to put out kind of turned into a country country song Turn country so I'm excited to share with you guys um still a little bit to finish up with it but it's almost done and I love it you got some good stuff nice that's a good stuff dude I just picked a piece of cardboard and leaf awesome [Music] here on that this is complete and total improvisation on my part what I feel like in my brain will work so [Music] we had a brief intermission our friends came over we had lunch with them they walked around we showed them our grass because our friend Cody is a grass kind of sewer when I talk about grass guys I'm talking about Fescue I'm talking about Bermuda I'm talking about what else I'm talking about babe babe what am I talking about Johnson sit over in there that'll be easier these are fun well Cody started like Horticulture and stuff like that so he's just he can look at a lot of the things and know and what it is if it's palatable for Animals cool season warm season like so he came over to help walk through like our pasture area and help us figure out what was growing what we could do to maybe like improve it um if we should plant anything like Sony seeds so that was super helpful we're on the right track the best thing we can do is just move our animals frequently keep basically doing what we're doing and they gave us an idea for like an even better system so hopefully we'll Implement that it's a learning curve but I feel like we're like tracking with it you know we're not like way off like doing our thing we're like okay we're actually not doing bad good because I was not and we're figuring it out I read a lot some sort of Baseline understanding but a lot of homesteading small scale farming anything like that is like a lot of trial and error and just learning as you go there's you can read every single book about having a dairy cow but until you actually have one in our Hands-On experiencing things you really don't grasp it in the same way so I think we we should like I think we should put some of that in here cover it and then this and well we dig holes that we put seeds in we bury them we put straws on top and then um it will grow good idea [Music] nice looking good it is it's cute right yeah I'm very excited I love it I love it um oh yeah it's our anniversary today it is and this Breeze makes it feel nicer out here so we can actually do this yeah so now it's this is like a little date great Garden building dates it's cute I love doing this kind of stuff it's on my date night just kidding we're gonna go out tomorrow we decided I mean oh look see there goes the truth just came out [Music] it's about you and me babe [Music] thank you [Music] I look like I've been through it today I did change clothes because we had friends come over for a few hours that's where we went we disappeared we had friends here um look you guys it is officially Blackberry season they are ripening look don't eat them let's carry as many as we can eat them yeah put them in my pocket let's carry them up I eat one oh that's a sweet one too they're like so many black I found this one mama's crazy I found this one yeah put them right here John you want to reach down in there and grab this all those oh yeah look at that wait wait I ate one all right it's good yeah good job is that good I'm a sweaty mess out here it's so humid it rained it was like in the 80s just moving barely doing any kind of light work and I'm like sweating the kids are out now catching fireflies oh and it just reminded me earlier I was kind of thinking about it and how at our old house our past two old houses they just aren't around like not in our neighborhoods at least no way and I just wonder if it's like from chemicals being sprayed or whatever but it's just sad I grew up with fireflies around but um I feel like back in our old neighborhood and other neighborhoods around they just were never else it's really cool especially when it gets dark out here it's just like completely saturated with fireflies out here very true very true Lainey says we were down by the fence and I was like oh my gosh that one's huge but I realized it was just the electric fence the green light I thought it was a firefly but it was the electric fence because there were a bunch of fireflies out and our electric fence it blinks green and so we were kind of a little bit away from it and we were just looking at the fireflies and I was like oh my gosh that one's massive and then I was like wait a second that's just our electric netting box over your head [Music] all right I think it's time to call it quits for tonight yeah it's 908. no I like the sun being out as long as it is because it's cooler in the evening and it was a lot nicer to do this than like even attempting earlier today was so hot and miserable so we've got everything done except this this topsoil hopefully everything grows we'll keep you posted I'll do like a little garden tour you guys more as we finish it while we're planting it hopefully give you some inspiration if you want more of this kind of content let me know in the comments um because we'd love to share like what we're just what we're doing and what we're learning and we're not experts but we are reading amateur learning practicing talking to neighbors talking to friends gaining like wisdom and experience and just taking just do it just take the step right that's right like you don't have to know everything you don't have to do it perfectly and you can fail at it it's actually okay to fail and try again but just take the steps so that's kind of what I decided this year I almost didn't do it and I was like you know what no I'm gonna start seeds started seeds then I was like okay now I need somewhere to put them and so we've just like baby stepped it but thank you for your help John because I couldn't have done this without you no problem last time we go in shower get cleaned up eat some ice cream happy anniversary and go to bed until
