Hi, I'm Jonah Chainberg and this is for How You Do It, Close Distance Parry 5 Repost.
When I think about doing Close Distance Parry 5 Repost, I'm really thinking about three things.
First, I'm thinking about disguising it.
Second, I'm thinking about making it unexpected.
And third, I'm thinking about the technique while I'm doing it.
So, first when I talk about disguising it, what I really mean is, I want to basically keep it a secret that I'm going to do it.
I want to make it look like I'm doing something else, whether it be simultaneous attack or distance pull,
or really any other action that isn't Close Distance Parry 5 Repost.
So, which brings me to my second point, making it explosive and unexpected.
When you do it, you need to really commit to it 100% and come in full force, willing to take the action.
You can have no doubts about what you're doing.
Which brings me to my third tip, which is technique.
While you're doing it, even though it is a really intense explosive action, you want to stay as relaxed as possible.
So, you don't want to tense your shoulder up, you don't want to be too jerky with it.
You want to stay relaxed, and then at the final moment, come in, surprise your opponent, and take it smoothly.
It's definitely a touch that when I get it, I'm super hyped about it.
It's one of your riskier actions, and for me, when you do a high-risk, high-reward action, you have to solve right after.
