The Vet Had to Come to our Home

oh no that's the wrong one no it better not be it's our first issue with an animal like she didn't even feel that what's up guys how are you we are uh chicken is about to pick sitting sitting here we're sitting on our front porch waiting for the large animal vet livestock Farm bed we have a sheep who has been limping and we love them well when I say we John looked at her hoof trimmed it a little we've sprayed some stuff on it but she's still wouldn't get any better yeah so am I a professional so it's our first our first issue with an animal and so I'm just having I don't know what I'm looking at I've looked on you know the internet and looked up stuff but I still just I just don't know so we've done it from somebody yeah watching someone do it and then I can know how to do it but also forever we haven't like established care with a vet which is really important when you have livestock to have like this is our person who we call he knows where we live who we are what animals we have and just kind of build that relationship because there will unfortunately there will be issues there's just always things and just making sure they're healthy so um school he's a mobile vet so he just cries around that's awesome so he will be coming today to check on that sheep and um just like our whole herd basically and kind of like meat so we're waiting on them in the meantime we're just doing some chores outside chores outside chores been shoveling poop didn't video it but we can go back and take some clips if you want to see John put poop in a wheelbarrow let us know if you want to see more videos of me putting poop in a wheelbarrow milking the cow she's been milked already I'm just enjoying the weather it's actually really nice out today and it's not going to be it's like in the 60s and sunny with a little breeze going ah this was a thunderstorm the next two days so yes I think we have a day in the mid 30s coming up at least the morning in the mid 30s no don't lie to me I saw it I think it's like Sunday or something like that that's depressing anyway so that's what we're doing when they get here well we have really good news yesterday yesterday I don't know what the good news is what's the good news the good news was that we came outside yesterday and I found four eggs oh yeah in the nesting boxes they truly just weren't laying like they know where to lay they knew what to do they knew there's even a box that Tyler made underneath our camper they're like she just is a cardboard box and put some straw in it I don't know who his name is who is it a chicken but I don't know um the name was what was the chicken's name nugget no birdie yeah buddy buddy's lay the egg yeah that's awesome oh that said today she laid it so we had we got three eggs today right now she didn't lay enough yesterday though so that's another one hopefully another one speckled egg we didn't get a speckled egg yesterday oh so yeah yesterday we got four eggs today we've already gotten how many three three different eggs than yesterday birdie bloody it's not did you help Daddy wash dishes yesterday whatever yo guys it's here finally the sprayer for our dishwasher you need to call them and get the shipping refund they don't know yeah let me calling them to say I want this for free and then what you do these days no I don't do that maybe it's probably still within the warranty here it is oh no that's the wrong one no it better not be oh no no no [Music] it should be so can help okay it looks like it just pops right on there I'm a YouTuber though just to be safe because I don't want to pull it off and pull the whole thing out come on poppers I'm gonna grab a couple things out of my bag right here it's got a very surface smell to it yeah oh yeah that black coming out oh yeah so I'm just going to kind of trim it up enough it'll drain pretty good we'll get her some antibiotics it is because it's basically her heel is really really sore um it hurts all the time and so she's not wanting to put any weight on it no this is our nuisance um she was a show lamb in a high school so she knows no boundaries good girl stay here [Music] I know it's not fun she's like you were never catching me again after this once my foot feels better I'm gone perfect like she didn't even feel that yeah she didn't even notice she's more worried about being on her bed yeah so that helps kill all the bacteria that are on the surface part of that to help keep them from going in the foot anymore and then I'm gonna give her some payments a little harder to get it in this sheet but is it right they only have bottom teeth in the front yeah but don't get your fingers too far back because you get them in the back they hurt a lot yeah okay so we totally forgot to update you guys um what happened with the Sheep yesterday so long story short the Sheep had hoof rot which is just a little infection that can get inside their hubs especially when it's wet and nasty out and we've had a really wet and nasty winter tons of rain so the ground just stays soft and so that's not good for their Hooves and so I had done my own little investigating inspection on it I didn't see or smell anything but I also didn't really know what I was looking for so um now we have seen it I know what to be looking for and how to look for it so I'm gonna check all the other oh they seem to be fine but I need to check their Hooves anyways here soon so probably in the next day or so I'm gonna go out there and try to rally them all up and do it so the doctor the vet gave them some antibiotics gave her some antibiotics and she should be doing well in the next uh he said by five days you should really notice her improving a lot so she's already kind of more walking on it of course she was just like not even walking on it at all and so that's even an improvement from yesterday to today that she's actually putting a little pressure on it so anyways should be good to go and glad we got that taken care of I also got my dishwasher part installed ran it didn't seem to do a very good job but at least the water was spraying that was basically it wasn't really doing a good job before it was broken let's be honest so anyways I'll keep you posted on all that but things uh seem to be doing good today minus the nasty weather that we've had so I'm gonna go but we love you guys and we'll talk to you soon bye we are stare into the sun I can't believe [Music]
