UK Road Trip with our Baby for the First Time!

[Music] okay we just got to our hotel suite and wow this place is cool i'll show you this lucy you're required on set oh there you are thank you thank you here she is this is the junior panoramic suite at the mcdonald manchester hotel that's a mouthful said perfectly thank you very much it's so nice isn't it it's so spacious and airy like i'm a sucker for a view like we've got one two three four five six windows that just take up over half of the room is windowed like that's so awesome yeah i can't get back far enough manchester piccadilly train station i think is down here um is that what it's called oh cool so there's literally a train right there and it goes all the way into the city over there with all the big sky riders on the left um that oh wow that's insane that's such a good view and then over this side you've got the view of like i mean i don't know manchester very well at all so i'm trying to like give a tour of what you can see i've got no idea what it actually is yeah we're a bit better at this in london this is like big roads i don't know what that is very nice view here are the big roads yeah wow okay very cool time lapse here tomorrow yeah just the view i love this view this angle yeah it's so nice and there's a nice big mirror here bathroom in here we've done it about backwards we'll come back out here in a sec but while we're here we've got a nice big bath with the elements there's a spa hotel so it's the elements products just here um nice sink area very spacious lovely toilet that's huge isn't it yeah absolutely nice and a double big double mirror so we can look at ourselves even more than we usually do like this no i just mean like how long it actually is it's huge in here we've got a bottle of prosecco oh really have they given that to us in the air is that not no after that after that drive i'm ready for a little drinkie poos and by the way we have very kindly been invited here to stay we're going to put a discount code on the screen and a link below if any of you guys want to book it and they've actually given us a date night package which includes prosecco the room and also dinner this evening and a massage yes i want to extend my thanks our thanks um our families thanks to the team at mcdonald hotel in manchester for inviting us on our very very first trip away with coda they said come up and stay we'll give you our date night package and we'll give you our panoramic suite so this view all the way around of the city so really nice parking was easy by the way if i know some people when to watch these vlogs they chaise long is that what that's called on a shades long on a chaise long all night long on the shoes does anyone else know that song so this is koda's first time in the big city welcome to your new home oh and i think we wanted to come to manchester because we do live in a small seaside town as you know which we love but i think we miss we miss bgc we miss being in big cities and to come and just get some fresh energy with loads going on that's why we love going to london just for a few days few nights whatever it is rejuvenates us re-inspires us refreshes us speaking of being rejuvenated refreshing we need to go i need to go because i have 10 minutes yeah they've also kindly this whole thing was a gift to the channel so thank you again to the team here so they've also given us full body massages each so i need to go for mine in 10 minutes it starts and then lucy will go over here we'll swap over code the duties in between and then we'll relax for a little bit maybe go get some food get some coffee and dinner tonight at the hotel but in between we'll try and explore manchester a little bit [Music] okay we have made it out of the hotel and we made it straight did i did sorry you're filming then sorry and straight into a very busy manchester this is like weird for us because when we usually walk around our little hometown yeah basically we're not used to this many people or this amount of people as we just walk around so it's so good we always say like get out of your postcode that was that phrase get out of your postcode go and see something if you can go and see something new go and see something refreshing koda's first time in a city actually well in a big city anyway i haven't been to london with him yet now he's just cruising around the streets of manchester i don't think he even realizes his eyes open a minute ago did he oh okay so we're basically looking for this food place that does grilled cheese sandwiches we had very good things online and i haven't i can't remember the last time i had a grilled cheese sandwich so looking forward to that if not there's a plan b option we're all within walking distance from our hotel also if i see a coffee shop along the way which i know there are lots of in manchester then i'll pick up a little coffee as well but after food because lucy is especially hungry she's given strict instructions food first coffee after equally hungry oh i am we ate angry we ate like at five in the morning and then like seven in the morning in the car and it's now like four pm four pm we don't we're not we're out of the habit we're out for the swing of the traveling life so we've noticed that there is a lot of street art in manchester and even the restaurant this is the place we're going has street art here but it's actually over the road over in there and there's actually a wedding going on here or at least some wedding photos [Music] [Music] thank you so much thank you take care [Music] so [Music] [Music] we have okay so we have the lunch it's a few hours after the lunch isn't it yeah um we haven't napped as you can probably see from the state unless and the state of that behind me um yeah life is life is different we uh yeah we got up at 3am this morning to get here to try and beat a little bit of traffic um to come down and hit the road while you guys saw uh so yeah we were very sleep deprived needed some sleep yeah i feel better yeah i wanted to 100 but i feel better yeah but this room is so nice um we're coming into almost we're going to see sunset here yeah although we do have dinner reservation now so it's kind of gone from that amazing lunch which was so good wasn't it really i wanted to put this little clip in just so it doesn't look like we went for lunch and then went straight to dinner it's been several hours it has yeah so we're going to head downstairs for dinner now at the hotel restaurant so i believe it is time for us to open this because whoa it's heavy because this is part of ello this is part of the date night package that the hotel laid on for us so a little pre-dinner glass of i think this is prosecco yeah prosecco prosecco that looks nice look at that yum so hopefully um i can just pop this off so we've arrived had a massage we're in the panoramic suite we've got dinner and a bottle of prosecco on ice so congrats to our first little vacation our first little traveling trip with coda we did it yay well we're here yeah we're on day one um so i'll just go for it kind of just pop this open yeah don't face it towards us or the windows i'll just pop it over there hopefully it won't be i'm not gonna shake it like do a champagne spray like formula one but no already but don't do that you don't do that indoors why not we're celebrating right okay sometimes the glasses go really fizzy nice that that actually i meant to hold the end of it that that actually alarmed that alarmed me no damage was caused okay there we go that that was way more poppy than i thought it would be but you know you're meant to just hold the end indoors you're not meant to literally flick it with your thumb i didn't flick it i just gently caressed it out of its casing you're meant to hold on to it with the other hand i didn't know i'd do that anyway cheers coda cheers mommy cheers to date night cheers the food has arrived we've both gone for ribeye steak with fries lucy got truffle fries with hers um and is currently still on mum duties but koda is just about settling off for a little nap and we've got a little bit of an evening post sunset view over manchester here at the hotel restaurant so we're gonna tuck into this enjoy our dinner and then i think pretty much head back to the bed because we are extremely tired looking forward to this meal looking forward to hopefully a nice long scheme tonight [Music] you
