TAKING 7 KIDS ON A HOMESCHOOL ADVENTURE!

it's time to go warming worming is my favorite part of the day I'm ready for now good morning everyone it is our first official homeschool Co-op meeting date so we've gone on two field trips with our group but this is the first like homeschool day where we get together and we do learning things and it's also the first time we are putting all the kids in with the new seating arrangement super excited this boy is going to go in his seat in just a minute everyone else is getting buckled in I'm hoping this solves some of the Dilemma we had with with fighting and whatnot all right Papa you ready oh big seeds look at you big boys feet all right you ready it's all buckled in all right we've got Tyler and her seat Addie girl in her seat we gotta fix some buckles you're not quite tight enough all right let me fix that for you Marin is in her seat we've got Everly did you help her get buckled Jude that was really nice of you let's just fix this not quite tight enough that is going to help keep you safe fix the couple buckles back here Jude safe and safe Marin is safe Addie is safe not quite gotta tighten you no listen we shouldn't be able to pinch look if I can pinch like this then it's actually not tight enough ready just one more one more okay we made it we had a pit stop at Walmart to get our lunch he fell asleep it's the only downside about not having the infant carrier anymore is that you can't just get them out I think it was a success because the kids were completely silent the entire ride literally nobody said a word although I'm pretty sure it has more to do with a bite John and I got in before he left so yeah hard to say whether or not the new seating arrangements were a hit what do you guys think do you want your new seats yes I love the window those of you have seen crude the new age this is what I act like when I'm near the window all right we made it we're here we gotta go you're gonna have to help Elena carry that it's heavy we've got our lunches this is how we do all the things just me and the kids today and we got a trek all the way down the hill to get to the flutter's house so we got a long walk and I'm gonna be out of breath I think probably by the time we get there at least just downhill at least it is downhill high five guess what that means on the way back going uphill we got that stuff good job dude you got our glass jars be careful with them all right there we go going down the hill there's the cows I forgot to bring our wagon hi Izzy so we got him in my sling I've got the cooler and my backpack all the things and just heavy what do you think but we're doing it we're almost there a few more steps Adeline already has to go to the bathroom right what do you think Israel you see the cows yeah can you see the piggies I love coming here they have so many animals and they're just like two years ahead of everything we kind of want to do and build so it's neat to be able to learn from them and be friends all at the same time [Music] well we're going to make farm jars worm or wreaths we're gonna share you guys let your little sister scoop some so we're gonna work as a team Maron and EV you guys are each going to do a little scoop of the blue bucket in the bottom okay and then you're going to pass off your shovels to Jude and Addie do we do compost and dirt the more compost first you do a little bit of dirt and then compost a thin layer sand dark compost oh okay okay so dirt first okay okay so Addie and ebb or Addie and Aaron come up here with your shovels over here grab a little scoop of the yellow see the yellow bucket my bear get a little scoop get a tiny little scoop okay and then you're gonna put it in here [Music] get the scooper there you go okay now Marin can you skip some all right Addie and then Jude get a scoop okay go ahead chief that way dirt we're doing dirt first there you go all right Laney all right Tyler even it out with a little bit in the corner all right now compost Tyler you go first I have a tire and found a toad oh my goodness look at a toad I love dogs they're so fun yeah all right now let's go get some sand and then we do one more layer I think it's a little bit of sand a little bit of sand Addie and then let's go back over we gotta do one more layer all right so we've got our first layer done let's go add some more dirt some more compost some more sand there we go now can you dump that dirt on here all right go on Addie put that right here we're gonna fill it up so you can do a little bit more dirt hi Judy yeah now give it to Abby okay one more layer everyone just add a tiny bit of sand put on you've had enough it's okay there we go we got some sand on top perfect now take it over by Miss Ariana for food and you guys can go down to the creek and dig for worms which I think you're going to want our other shovel for two more man come over here dude you can do one no no no no one just one so Maron can do one come over here grab one piece of carrot and then put it in here okay good job and then you guys are gonna go down to the creek and you're gonna locate some worms Oh okay we're gonna put them right on top with you so you can put the worms right away or you can bring the worms up whatever you want to do can we bring the worms up this one's heavy yeah set it down it's time to go warming creepy all right you guys I'll follow you forever my buddy holding my hand now we're digging for worms ready Mary start looking I where do you think the worms will be and the Rocks undergrounds under rocks underground Tire in a tire underneath underneath the tire maybe all right the general consensus is there are no worms because it's been too dry so we'll go home and find worms but we are having lunch right now you're really Israel is enjoying a carrot except oh you eat them what what I got bit by a fire ant on my bed no so that's fine right mayor it's hot we're just winding down crazy chicken children doing chicken Impressions yeah that's it that's what it sounds like when a chicken lays an egg they sing a special song it sounds just like that [Music] we are packed full on the golf cart because I'm not gonna make it back up that hill one thousand percent bye and go find some worms when you get home fishing bait we have fishing Bay in the fridge all right that's a wrap on homeschool day I'm gonna start the car wow Israel's in Tyler's getting in shoot come on Jude saying bye to a friend did you guys have fun yeah yeah all right what are you gonna do when we get home find some worms we got our jar of worm habitat now we just have to go home and actually get the worms so Everly get buckled Marin get buckled how do you get buckled I'm ready for a nap you sleepy what do you think everybody's out I got him out last and he just wanted to sit down come on you wanna get out he's enjoying the uh wide open space I guess what do you think come on we gotta go take this stuff in and then go get worms do you want to go find some worms you wanna go find some more of us Papa [Music] all right just got cut incredibly short because John ran out of gas are you serious somebody was mowing the entire property today apparently all right we got a new ride oh well we got later we got later oh my goodness three four five horsepower four horses and one goat what do you think Izzy are we going for Ryan all right you missed we're mirroring or marrying you missed we're marrying what is that uh us building a warmery well we need the worms for compost and that will help them they poop out and that's actually they eat it they eat they eat and then they poop out what do the worms eat dude they eat a lot of banana peels compost and fake leaves decaying leaves and then they poop out and then what does it do for the soil it makes the plants good that was our homeschool lesson today we talked a little bit in the car on the way home about how gardening and growing your own food worms are really important to make sure you have quality soil that there are worms in the soil or are using worms to create good quality compost to use in your garden etc those are all things we kind of chatted about the practicality behind what we're doing how you use it different types of soil why it matters you get the idea anyway we didn't find any worms there so we came down to our Creek in the shade to take for some here all right John's been running and Mowing and stuff and now you get to work now you get to worm my favorite part of the day worrying is my favorite part of the day not warming just kidding spending the time with my children is my favorite part of the day hey we don't want to dig a bunch of holes daddy Mo's here hey see what we can do oh thank you it says you missed out on you want me or whatever so grateful for this okay we found a vegan nice already finding some good things like Daniel's going right to the creek she's gonna baptize the kitty how's it going y'all find anything that's really weird oh yeah sometimes there's rocks we can lift the rocks or some or maybe some logs see that little log there but check be careful for spiders and stuff but there might be some worms under there guys where's the best place to find worms we need to know we need to know for this wormery but we also need to know for if we want to go fishing again a salamanders we got a salamander habitat nice are you sure keep digging you might have been digging down into the hole leaning tricking us no Tyler found two more worms yeah what are you doing lady [Applause] pretty cool found some pretty rocks too it's a lot cooler over here well [Music] how was that [Music] how was it how was your trip is it fine it looks like it's just turning into a creek hangout now I guess enough worms have been captured and we're moving right along to better things all right so just me in time so the girls caught about how many worms time more than five more than five maybe eight oh my goodness so they put them in our little homeschool closet and so what is it if you leave the lights off or whatever what happens next few days they are on you can when you come in after a few days you'll actually see the tunnels where they've been all right you'll have to remind us to update everybody on that okay well I want to see if I can spot any of the tiny ones I mean they're probably buried down in there aren't they some of them oh wait there's that one I think the tiny ones died oh I don't need it well there's seven worms in there now we gotta go make sure the chicks are taken care of all right let's go that is making all that noise oh no Clover broke out oh there he is funny they put me back away that'll all be taking care of students are gonna be going to live outside in just a little while we're gonna get a little outdoor Hutch for them to go live in oh it looks like they were very thirsty there's some fresh water ladies and Kevin that little white one gets beat up a lot so I think it's scared to go in with the rest of them it's like thirsty but I don't want to get beat up by anyone all right anyways we've had a good day it's been fun have you had a good day Tyler well my favorite part of the day I think going and hanging out the creek with you guys and digging worms that was nice that's fun it's good to like I didn't have my phone with me I haven't had my phone a lot of the day today and I forget how much I love not having my phone on me around me which we need our phones for the things we do in life but we don't need them all the time so um that's something I've always struggled with I've gotten really a lot better at not having or spending as much on my phone so I'm really happy about that but I would love for my screen time just to continue to go down down until it's just like barely any at all so anyways we love you guys we had a good day we hope you guys had a good day try to sneeze sorry I just poked you in the eye too that's not gonna help you sneeze we
