6 Major Differences Living in UK Vs Philippines!

hey guys welcome back to a brand new video today is another sit down special we should start calling them that it is uh we are experiencing some rainy weather so we thought we did you keep saying that i just feel like every video at the moment you're like today it is raining i know maybe i shouldn't talk about that but it's not a bad thing you've got to take the good with the bad it does water the plants and it does keep vegetables and crops going exactly anyway vegetables and crops are not the topic of today's video today we are discussing we're filming another one of these you know this video i'm hoping you'll try i don't know what this video is i've literally just come from the bedroom lucy's set up these chairs and put the camera on and it's like right filming video take a guess i think this is eight things no five things five yeah five things no i don't know what this is five years i'm doing number five i just went like this i'm not doing it in the last sit-down video we filmed george kept doing spider-man fingers and i just watched it happen again so funny because you don't know you did it five big differences um living in the uk five big differences living in the uk compared to the philippines since moving back we have noticed obviously some big differences we think it's so interesting to look at this so the first most obvious one is the fact that we've gone from living in literally like is it did we say i think we did a video once explaining that it's the second most expensive city in asia yeah yeah the bgc is like such a big city it's such a metropolis is that the word it is yeah it's like huge it's skyscrapers it's any type of food you could ever imagine every restaurant restaurants it's clubs it's bars it's an atmosphere it's wild like people there's so much going on there's events there's concerts there's music stuff there's art stuff like it's such a cool place markets and we've come back and we've come back to a very it's not that small how many people are in worthing thousand 110 000 so it's not small in terms of population and it's not even small geographically but it's vibe i mean most of what i think is residential so it's just roads and houses and then we have like houses a small town and like a seafront area with a few bars and restaurants and that's it no big buildings no skyscrapers no shopping malls no it's not like in bjc it's like all the ground level is like stuff to do and then people live up in the sky in skyscrapers so it's like living living yeah type of thing here it's like living residential and then little pockets of entertainment the odd restaurant here or there the odd bar by the way in these videos we are not complaining we are merely talking about our life experience comparing whenever we yeah whenever we do these videos we just get some comments saying oh you shouldn't compare or don't move there or yeah you chose to live there don't complain we're not complaining and when we are comparing but only because we find it interesting and the vast majority of the people watching this kind of video do find it interesting yeah that's why we love travel that's why we love spending time in new places and experience life is all about experiences and i think it's so cool to talk about those experiences yeah there's goods and bads everywhere and it's not that we sat here like picking the foot people usually say pros and cons yeah frozen coins you like goods and bads it is same thing like there's pros and cons frozen content's more negative only the cons all right there's goods and pros everywhere number two the weather obviously another gorgeous favorite topic another quite obvious one do you know what if if it's a rainy day the weather can affect my mood so much if it's a bright sunny day i am super motivated i want to get out there i want to film vlogs i want to get going we're not even saying like oh yeah the weather affects george's mood a little bit it really does it's insane but don't worry no no it's okay this needs to stop this needs to stop okay i did it that time why am i so red oh my god okay yeah the weather affects my mood it really affects his mood in such a way that like we will have a bad day if it's raining because he's like yeah i get a little bit miserable if it's raining don't worry though i googled it i touched my little finger at that time i googled it it's normal a lot of people have it i'm good it's called sad well it does make a it's called sad it is hang on sad when the weather affects your mood comment below if that happens to anyone else if it's like miserable and grey and rainy i like sad seasonal affective disorder it's a type of question that relates to changes in seasons okay so it's when you feel more sad or down when the weather's worse it's like a real thing i definitely definitely have that yeah maybe like on a mild level it doesn't like i i don't just spend your energy and making you feel moody yeah i yeah maybe i don't think you're like an extreme case but like you definitely do get things i have to motivate myself harder in bad weather i have to find other ways to move myself and force myself to do things whereas if it was a sunny day wouldn't i be like right loose let's film like 20 vlogs but yeah you say that i think you're less productive when it's sunny because you just want to go out yeah maybe i want to go and get coffee and like enjoy the sunday the sun on my skin through the eyes and face really at this point the point is the weather's different so yes it's rainy and cold and wet and snowy and icy and you have to like defrost your car in the morning that's what we haven't yet it's not even that cold because we have an app that you need no one else there's not wind there's not been ice on cars yet no once on the volvo yeah and and in manila it's the opposite you're too hot you're showering four times a day you're like trying to get into air con you're you can't be outside in mid-midday heat if it was like let's go for a lunch you'd sit indoors if it was sunny you would not want to be in the sun you'll get sunburned yeah like way too hot we run away from the sun here but yeah here if there's a little bit of sun we're chasing the sun we went away from the sun there yeah yeah that works okay number three is like i think it's a boring answer it's like the most boring one but it's so obvious just driving on the other side of the road oh yeah but it's something to get used to it is something we've had to adjust to big you think 25 years of driving well i wasn't driving that young but a long time driving on the left seven or eight years and then spent that again and then spend a couple of years driving on the other side of the road and you'll be surprised how quickly you adjust to that yeah and then coming back here i had to be so so careful at where i was looking and pulling out of junctions it's where you're looking and it's where you expect other cars to be so like you'll be driving along and you you won't look somewhere that you need to look here i was coming up to the junction crossing over a junction and i was looking left and easing out but the car would be on this side so i was looking on the wrong side for the car dangerous dangerous so i thought you were in my socks then i just looked down no these are my own at least one of them is number four is living near the sea again so in manila we were very much in the middle of a big city you've got manila bay but i i don't mean the sea i mean the beach living near a beach yeah like you can't really just go down to manila bay and it would take us over an hour and travel yeah easily it's not like a quick thing for us so if we wanted like that fix of a beach or to swim in the sea we'd need to take a flight or drive like a good few hours to do that yeah and there's obviously a vast major vast number of beaches and options and places to go if you want a beach in the philippines but you've got to put more effort into going there for us here it's like a minute away so we are very much closer to see it it's not like the same kind of water it's it's a pebble beach but like just to get that fresh sea breeze of fresh air yeah people don't swim in it to be generally yes they do although your mom did the other day they are drinking at the whole of worthington in the summer yeah it's not in the wintertime no no no no no no no no yeah that's that's one big change to our lives walk out we're still trying to do if we're having like a edit day or an ad mini day we're still trying to get that 10-15 minute walk that lock down habit that we got into we're still keeping that up and we can just walk along the beach now which is super super nice all right this next one is one thing i personally really miss and it is a lot of we've spoken about it before and something we loved about our manila lifestyle was all the convenience and the things you can do with apps so for example the zenya app massage we have not had a massage in the uk you've had one a pregnancy massage very expensive only 50 minutes you have to drive to a spa for it there is nothing like zegna as far as i know in the uk and these quick convenient apps for ordering although maybe in london yeah definitely not here although we have noticed that in our home town things like ubereats and delivery delivery all these food ordering they weren't here when we were last night no at all so we got back and we were like you're telling me economy mcdonald's on my phone yeah we can i don't need to drive to shore yeah and we can i mean still some of the bigger restaurants don't do it but we've now found some really really good food options that we can order but we love that about bgc even like to do your grocery shopping i mean you can do that here but it's like you book in a slot for a few days in advance out there we could yeah out there we could just like instantly say i need this now and it will come in like half an hour good work like booking a cleaner yeah what was the other one air conditioning services yeah yeah like cleaning services and things and i mean there's probably our ways to do it here but it just feels like it's not quite as laundry we had a place we could just um do on our phones and they would pick up our launcher and like our shoe cleaning and stuff like that like manila has some really really good services like yeah that we do miss on that same topic i also hear about um grocery shopping they pack your bags for you and manila they often often i'll just do it like if they're busy or something i would end up just packing my own bags and i don't mind it at all like i it's not something that i'm annoyed about having to do here i quite like packing my bags because i do it in order of like fridge freezer and cupboards but yeah that was something that would often happen out there and it's quite nice yeah definitely like convenience there would be people to help you like a lot which was really cool which you get a little bit less here and number six is actually six not five bonus um is a very very similar thing we have to fuel our own cars here i know we have to get i have to say that was one thing i loved about the philippines it was awesome having um someone fuel your coffee it was like a drive-through car reef yeah you just put your window down you say i don't know a thousand pesos or two thousand whatever it is you want to put in and it was nice you'd have that like little bit of interaction you said good morning they'd ask how you're doing and we'd always tip them and it would be like a nice little interaction yeah but here you fill it up and then sometimes there's paint pumps you can put your card details in at the pump but most of the time you have to go into a shop and queue and queue and pay and then and then walk out to your car and then leave if people don't understand yourself no no you just sound like a really good player do your things like
