That's wonderful. I believe that people who have had NDEs are changing the world.
I think in another 20 years, we'll see a whole different world.
It'll be a completely different world than it is today, and I think it'll be a better world.
Hi, everyone. My name is Lynn, Lynn K. Russell, and the K is important because
there's so many Lynn Russells. It's a very popular name.
I have been interested in spirituality all my life, even though I was raised by an atheist family.
I was just very curious because I wanted to know what happened when I died,
and that's what started it. From about the age of 16, 15, something like that,
I started to study all kinds of different religions, and that began with trying to
find out information of what it was all about. Then that went to the history of the different
religions and the histories, and then that went to the deeper lessons, the commonalities and
things like that. Because that was 70 years ago, and so at that time, the only choice we had was
the traditional religions until the 1970s when the new age and the new way of thinking came in
and the broader way of looking at things. I was on a website called NDERF, which means
Near-Death Experience Research Foundation. The doctor, Dr. Jeffrey Long, who owns that,
contacted people and said he was looking for a volunteer to do research. I said,
yeah, I would love to do it because I'm just retired. I've got all kinds of time.
I wound up researching 2,500 near-death experiences. In the beginning, I was interested
in what happened to people. What was their experience? But after a few hundred, I
sort of knew that. Then I started to see deeper spiritual lessons that were being brought back
by people who had had this experience, and so that was what my interest really was.
I spent most of my interest with people, at least my learning, with the deeper lessons that
came back from the death experiences. Well, the NDE is a very big subject,
so what do I want to talk about? The one thing that I want to talk about is that every single
near-death experience is different. There are no two death experiences that are alike
because we are different, and we are individuals, and we create our own experience, and so that's
why they're all completely different. The other thing that I would like to talk about is that
even though they are all different, there are many things that are the same, and so when I
find the same things in, I know it's an authentic one. So anyway, that's how I got started with it,
and the things that are the same are like, for example, no time on the other side, and things
like travel by thought and telepathy, communication, those are the things that are
the same. When you ask a question, all knowledge is there, the life review, and the effect that it
has on other people when they come back. So those are all pretty well the same with each other.
It was back in 1972. I was very sick. I was in bed, and one minute I was in my bed,
and the next minute, and it was like that, just big, big. I was in this tunnel, and I had a man
with me, and he was taking me up in the tunnel, but that's another thing. There is no genders
over there, so I was seeing him as a male, but that was me that was doing that. He didn't have
a gender. Anyway, so we're going up, and then this big voice came down and said,
take her back. It's not her time, and so the guy beside me said, but she died, and the man said,
the light said, take her back. She has much left to do. That depends on the individual.
Each person sees different things, so some people don't see anything. They just see spirits,
and that they're floating in midair. Other people will see the universe,
and they're floating in the universe. Some people see beautiful gardens with flowers and
rivers and things. Other people go to the beach. Some people go to the mountains,
and so it's all just individual. There isn't one thing. Some people see big buildings,
so it's all very different for each person. A person that has their death experience
experiences it how they understand, and so it doesn't matter what religion a person is.
That will come out in their experience and how they experienced it, so a person who is
Buddhist would have a Buddhist kind of experience, whereas a person who's Christian
would have a Christian experience and see Jesus or God or whatever, so each person has
a different experience based on, like people who are Muhammad, that's the wrong word,
that's a man, Muslim. The people who are Muslim would see Muhammad there,
you know, and they would talk to Muhammad, so it just depends on what your belief is.
Well, for me, the most interesting part is the oneness, and when I say the oneness, I mean
that everything is the same. Every single death experience, every single one of them
feels that they're connected with everything that is. That happens over and over and over
and all the reports, maybe not with people who have negative experiences, like people who go to
hell, but the ones who have a positive experience, every single one of them say that they feel that
they are not just connected, but that they are that garden, or they are the other planets and
stars. They are everything they see, they are it, they become it, and it becomes them,
so there's no separation. And to me, that talks about that there's only one soul, one spirit that
is experiencing all of this, and we are a part of it, and we are now experiencing,
okay, we are source, giving ourselves the experience of being separate in this lifetime.
That's what we are, and so that to me is very, very important, and it's backed up by
there's 31 different things that, like for example, travel. They travel by thought,
well no wonder, you don't go anywhere, it's only you're inside one entity, one source, one being,
you're only one being, and so you can travel anywhere, because you're not going really,
you're not going anywhere, it's just in your mind. Quantum particles, you know, the little
tiny particles that make up an atom, when they did tests on them with using quantum particles,
they get different results if somebody's there with the result, or somebody, or nobody's there
if they've left the room. The results that they get is different, so it seems as though
these little creatures, well they're not creatures, they're dots of particles,
seem to understand that there's a consciousness present, and so that's very interesting.
Another one is that there's been tests on the brain, and actually they were testing the brain
to see what the reaction would be if a person had an issue, and
what their reaction would be to different stimuli, so they were showing them all kinds of pictures,
and they showed them nice pictures, and loving pictures, and horrible pictures, and so what they
were really wanting to do was find out how that person was going to react, but what they found
out instead was that inside of our brain there's a signal that comes into the brain before we even
know what we're going to look at. The picture isn't even there yet, and already we're getting
a signal. So that's very important, that tells me that there's a connection somehow.
And then another experiment was to do with the globe, the whole globe, and you know how they
have meditation for the whole world, well that's very, very important. They do have an effect
on the world, and they have a positive effect, and what the story is that there was a man named
Roger Nelson, Dr. Roger Nelson, and he wanted to see if human consciousness had an effect on the
atmosphere of the world, and so what he did is he had an experiment, like he had this program that
he put into the computer that was so sensitive that it picked up the slightest difference in
the atmosphere, and then they watched, and big important things that came, and the meditation
things, and not so important, and they watched, and every time that something happened that was a
world event, the needle would go up and people would, and so it was affecting the atmosphere.
So that also said that our consciousness affects the atmosphere. Yeah, most people don't report
their experience if they have a hell experience, which is too bad, but anyway,
those who do, the ones that I have studied, they are ones that were taken out of hell
after they, after they, so they died, they went down into hell, and usually they say that it's
hell, I don't think it is, I don't think there's a direction, but that's what they feel, okay, so
they go down and they go into hell, and they had their hell experience, but then they, usually it's,
they call for God, or Jesus, or somebody else, or even their guides to help them out of there,
and then they get taken out, so then they're taken out of hell, and so when they get to
the positive part, you know, where there's this beautiful garden and all that,
then they say, what was that all about? Sorry, and, and, and the, and, and they get told,
that was your creation, you created that, there is no hell, hell is what you create
that you think you deserve in your own heart and mind, so there really isn't a hell, that was made
up by human beings, yeah, everybody would go to heaven, because that's where they belong,
we belong in heaven, every single one of us belong in heaven, because we are part, we are one with
the source, we are the source, we are the creative force, and we belong with that, that's where we
are. Now, having said that, our experience here is very, very important, because we,
in, in our experience, living every day, we are giving back to the source, we are getting back to
the spirit, this, the, the creative force, so that's very important, but the creative force
only wants us to live good lives, you know, one of the ladies that I loved reading about,
and I really loved her story, her name is Hafur, it was H-A-F-U-R, and if you want to get her story,
you can go H-A-F-U-R, and then near-death experience, and you'll, you'll google it,
and you'll find it easy. Anyway, Hafur was just an ordinary housewife, like you were, you know,
or anybody, just a normal woman, and she had a death experience, and she learned so much, I mean,
her, her story is very, very full of all kinds of really cool information, but,
but one of them was that, that they, that we are, we're here to enjoy life, we're, we're not here
to suffer, that she, she said, I spent all these years suffering, I didn't need to suffer, that
was my choice. I think the biggest learning that people have, there's a bunch of them, one is that
the death, the life review teaches them how our behavior affects others, and that
is very important to them, that changes them overnight, just makes them a different person,
so that's one thing. The other thing that happens is that they, they are filled with so much love
that they don't want to leave, and, and that's not surprising, I've already, you know, you know that
most people don't want to come back, because it's just so beautiful and wonderful there, and so it's
very difficult to come back to a world of problems. Some people adjust quickly when they come back,
and it's okay, but other people don't adjust at all very well, and, and they were, all they want
is to go back, that's it. They don't, they don't commit suicide, because that won't work, but
they want to be back there, so they just want to get over what they have to do here, and then go,
which doesn't, not a good idea. Anyway, so that's, that's another one, is how we affect other people,
and the love, and the fact that they know that there's that much love, and now they want to give
that love to the world, and that's, that's wonderful. I believe that people who have had
NDEs are changing the world. I do, I think that they're, I know that we've got problems, and wars,
and things, but I think, I don't know, I don't want to even, okay, I think that is probably
a reaction to all this love and peace that's, you know, and it's frightening some people.
Some people don't like love and peace, and so it frightens them. They don't understand it,
and so I think that's part of the negativity that's happening. Anyway, I, I think in another
20 years, we'll see a whole different world. It'll be a completely different world than it is today.
I think it'll be a better world, a healthier world. I think there's a whole generation of
young people that are coming, and you're, you would be one of them, who's coming into the world,
and they have, they care about the world, and they care about what's happening, and they care about
the ecology, and you know, doing the right thing, and so that those people are going to change the
world, and they, you know, my grandson said to me, I know, grandma, but that really is scary to me,
and I said, but you don't have to do anything. Just be yourself. Just be the beautiful person
you already are. That's it. That's the only thing that's expected. So those are some of the things
that, the other one is, it's very strongly affects people, what I just talked about with the oneness,
and to understand that we're all connected, and we're all one. That is very, very important.
Our reality is, I think our reality is that we are source. We are God, Allah, whatever. I don't
think people would like me to say that, so I don't use that kind of language. I just say that we are
source. We are the creator, and I do, I believe right now that you, me, and everybody else is
right now still with this, with God, or with the source, right now, this minute, and we are thinking
or creating from there. We are creating this experience, but we're still there. We're just
creating this. So I think our reality is that we are magnificent. I think that human beings,
you know, when I was a family counselor, I was blown away by how many people didn't like
themselves, and you know, they would treat themselves so mean and be so down on themselves,
and we really are magnificent. We're wonderful. We're just fantastic, and we need to know that.
We don't know it. We think that we're awful because we've got this sin business going on,
but no, we are absolutely beautiful, and we need to know that so that, and that,
if people knew that, that would change the world. I think my favorite, I have some favorites.
One of them was a sailor, and he was in the United States Navy, and I think his name was Mark,
but I'm not quite sure. Anyway, he was diving with a bunch of other guys,
and I don't know what they were diving for, but anyway, he was diving, and two things happened.
A shark came by, and at the same time, he stepped on a toxic coral or poison coral,
and it embedded in his foot. When he was reacting, the guys thought that the shark had gotten him.
It wasn't the shark. It was the coral, but anyway, so they got him on board right away as soon as
possible, but he died anyway, and there's a doctor on board on the ship. Now, for some reason,
and I don't know why because it's not explained, for some reason, they put an EEG machine on his
brain, and then the doctor let it run, and the doctor walked out and went away and left him for
36 hours, I think it was. It was over a day, a long, long time. I really have to go back and
look up how many hours it was, but it was a very, very long, long. It was more than a day anyway,
and the doctor came back into the room, and the man stood up, and he was dead. The EEG
was still running, and there it was across the floor with it being absolutely flat-lined,
and so those kind of things. I think that's really fascinating, and I like the ones
that people who have been dead for so long, they're in the morgue, and they're in a state
of rigor mortis. They're frozen solid. They can't move, and they come back, and I like those because
that takes about 12 to 14 hours for rigor mortis to set in, so that means that it's not the brain
breaking down. It's not hallucinations, so those kind of things need more study.
I've also talked to some who went to the beginning of everything. They would go,
and they would say, take me to when this all began, and they would go to the beginning of
the universe, when the universe first began, and watch it all happen, and some people,
when that happened, they melted into becoming the light, and they were the light with the light.
You know, there was no separation, and they were also creating the universe as it was unfolded.
When a soul decides that it's going to become human, it will decide, first of all, it chooses
a goal or a chore that it wants to do when it's here, and so that's the most important thing,
is that goal, because it's for the development of the soul, but it's also for the development
of the world. It has to be a plus thing for the world. So, for example, one of the things is
patience or love or, you know, those kind of things, and we all need to learn about love,
all of us, everyone. So, anyway, so they choose a goal, whatever their goal is, and then they
choose all the things in their life that will help them to guide them to that goal to get there,
okay? So, for example, they choose the people that they're going to be involved with,
you know, whether it's, you know, their family, or whether it's quick people,
or whether it's best friends. So, that's one of the things. They choose
the events in their lives, not every single event, and that's where I draw the line,
is that some of the people in your life are meant to be, not everybody. Some of the events
that guide you to your goal are meant to be, but not everything that ever happened to you
is meant to be, okay? And it might even distract you from your goal. So, that's not meant to be.
Another thing is that there are accidents, and so, Mellon Thomas, no, wait, that's not,
Damian Brinkley was a man who had a book out that was one of the very first books on
near-death experiences, and one of the things that he did was, he was in a war, and he was,
you know, telling people. Anyway, while he was in the war, he killed one man,
and he didn't need to, but he killed him. So then, when he had his death experience,
God said to him, why did you kill that man? I had plans for him, and now he has to start all
over again. So, you see, not everything is meant to be, and because that man wasn't meant to be
dead, you know, he was supposed to stick around. So, accidents do happen. The other part of that
story is that we also choose the life that we're going to be living, the kind of life,
whether, and our nationality, and our country, and what we look like, and what race we are.
We choose all of those things, and it's the only criteria is if it will help us to get our job
done, and if we don't do it, and there are people who choose not to do their goal in this lifetime.
They just goof off, and they say, I don't want to, and those people have to come back, and
reincarnate, and do their life all over again, because they didn't get finished. So, the goal
is very, very, very important. I'm sure you've already heard, but let me tell you about the
life review. So, when a person has a life review, they see all the things they did in their life
with other people, okay? So, they see how they help people, and how they were not very nice
with other people. So, they see both, and one of the things that happens when they see those things
is they become, they actually become that other person, and feel exactly what that other person
felt, and then they feel all, they feel what happened, that now you've hurt that person.
That person goes out, and is mean to his wife, and this guy, the wife goes out, and you know,
is mean to somebody else, and it follows down the line until it's like an echo,
that it gradually fades out, but it's, it's that, there's, and the same thing happens
with good things. So, if you did some kind thing, you would feel that kindness, and you would
become that person, and feel the kindness, and the joy that they felt, and then you would feel
the joy that they passed on to others. So, here's my point on the bad people,
is that they have to relive every single thing that they did to other people.
All those bad things, they have to relive, and that is very painful. I mean, I can't imagine,
like Hitler, for example, that, I can't imagine, or anybody, you know, there's, there's lots of
people we could mention, not just Hitler, that the pain that they are going to go through,
because they will not only see their experience, and feel bad about it, but be that person,
and feel what that person felt, and how that went down the line. I think my one lesson is to
be kinder to yourself, to love yourself more, to trust yourself more, that you do know,
you know, you just, just be more confident in the person that you are, and stop being so hard
on yourself, because if you can, if you can find joy in the person you are, you will give that,
that's what the world will feel back. So, that's my, that, and watch your thoughts,
pay attention to what your thoughts are.
