TODAY IS THE FIRST DAY...!
When we moved we weren't sure about the area we would be. We didn't know what kind of community would be where we were or if there even would be any at all. But we found something! And I hope it's something we can be part of.
Today's the first day of our homeschool co-op experience.
Look how cute this little buddy boy is!
I thought it was nearby.
Now I'm 15 months away.
Where am I?
Look how cute this little buddy boy is!
He's adorable.
Oh my goodness, he's adorable.
He's adorable.
There you go.
Look, it's Patsy even matches.
Who is this kid?
My boy.
He's my boy!
Hi!
Everything matches!
Show this outfit, Judy.
Daddy!
You're a little big, but...
Look!
Everything matches!
Mommy!
Oh my gosh, look how big you are.
Mom!
Everything matches!
How cute!
Everything matches!
So cute!
Little buddy boy!
Whenever we decided to move, we weren't quite sure where we'd end up or what would be out there for us whenever we got there.
Why do you take your socks and shoes off, kid?
Every single time!
Ready?
Let's go!
We're here.
We're ready.
Ariana!
I was going to call her Miss Ariana, but...
What's up?
Good morning.
Today's the first day of our homeschool co-op experience.
Ariana runs a homeschool co-op.
Amazing.
Today is the first day we're joining in, and it's a field trip day.
Okay, so we're at one of the other moms' houses to meet some horses.
Are you excited?
And hopefully some new people, too.
Yeah, we already lost all the other girls.
They are already in there, already in love, I'm sure.
Oh my goodness, lady.
Who is that?
Moon boy!
Oh my goodness, so cute!
Do you want a little horse like this?
Yeah.
Little pony?
We know God picked this place for us,
and having this community already in place was just another sign of that.
We're super grateful to be here where there's already a really great homeschool co-op established.
I love that we can give our kids some hands-on experiences with animals and farming
and a lot more where they can learn through doing and getting to have so much fun in the process.
What are we doing?
Learning about the horse, but then we're also painting the horse.
They're painting where the bones are, Judy.
She's going over where the bones are, and then they're painting where they are.
That's where the bones are.
So the bones start from his elbow, goes down to his knee, and then the cannon bone.
They're painting the bones of the horse.
I just heard that horse pee, and it sounded like someone turned on a bathtub.
Which one?
This one.
I was like, oh, water's running. Oh no, that voice is...
A bath is running...
Just kidding.
Oh, this is so loud.
Good job.
Right there.
Nice. Very good.
Nice, man. Good job.
In the world, he's shaking.
Is he?
He's scared.
He was like, where am I?
Do you want to go see the...
Let's go show them the pony.
Okay, come on.
This buddy is trying to say hello.
Hello.
I do better on paper.
It looks really good. You did a good job.
Thank you.
I do a lot, lot better on paper.
Wait, doesn't it look like marigold?
Kind of.
Oh, there you go.
Climbing trees.
Nice.
Elena, climbing trees.
As usual.
You're a little bit older than me.
What are you doing, Laney?
You see your sister?
She being crazy?
Buddy.
What do you think?
Oh, okay.
This one has really pretty eyes.
They're like marked.
Touch it. Rub his nose.
Touch.
Rub his little nose.
You want to pet?
Yes, pet. Nice.
That's funny.
He went like this.
Flame.
Yeah, you gotta say that.
He went like that.
He was like...
He was saying, give me the head.
So sweet.
You want to make some friends, too?
Why don't you get some friends?
Who's your friends?
Mama.
Mama?
What about Dada?
Is Dada your friend?
Hey, is Dada your friend?
Hey, I'm talking to you.
Is Dada your friend?
He's biting me.
I guess I should keep my screen flipped out.
I didn't realize it was zoomed in that whole time in that last clip.
But that's okay.
Little Zray said...
Off camera, he said he was my friend.
Y'all didn't hear it, but he said I was his best friend.
So, I'm just saying.
He said it, I promise.
Who's your best friend?
Mama.
You know, homeschoolers get such a bad rep
that they're not going to be socialized enough
or to learn things that traditional school would provide.
But you know what?
I think our kids are going to turn out just fine.
Addy, you ready?
Put your foot right here.
One, two.
I know why you're getting over that.
Good job, Addy.
How was it?
You want to do horseback riding lessons?
Oh, no.
Are you going to be a future horseback rider?
Oh, dear.
Hold on tight.
Just like you, Ty.
You did it!
Dad's my favorite to go.
High five.
Yeah, by yourself.
Good job.
What do you think?
You have a good time?
You ready to get a running horse?
Yeah.
Horse riding lessons here.
Oh, that'd be cool.
Alright, girlies.
Let's roll out.
Alright, time to load up.
Alright, you guys.
That concludes our very first
homeschool
co-op field trip adventure.
The kids had a blast.
It's hot.
It's sweaty.
We have to go do a grocery pickup.
I thought it was nearby.
Now we're 15 minutes away.
So we're going to go do that.
We needed a few things that I couldn't get
at the stores that were closer to us.
Anyway, that's it.
I'm so glad.
You know when you move to the middle of nowhere
and you're not sure if you will be all alone
for the rest of your life?
I love that that's not what we walked into.
We walked into a community
of homeschoolers, homesteaders,
like-minded families
with lots of kids apparently.
Our kids' ages.
I just think it's really special.
What do you guys think?
Super excited to be able to do this?
Was it the best time ever?
That's that.
Love you guys.
We'll see you soon.
Bye.
