EMPTY HOUSE TOUR! - WELCOME TO OUR NEW HOME

and directly behind me is the kitchen i know y'all want to see it maybe daddy will hold you oh can you walk come on oh you were so close come on this is why we moved everyone who's asking why you guys just built your house why did you move this one oh hey fancy seeing you here welcome welcome to the neighborhood welcome to our new home it is echoey because it's empty um we're gonna walk you guys around give you a tour today of our house before we move all of our stuff in something we never got to really do kind of when we moved in i think we maybe did some stuff was there anyway without further ado here is the front entrance this is like super open concept here it's basically all one big room all right behind me is the front door and it immediately opens up into the dining area it's not so much a formal dining room like we had before just kind of like a little nook but we will be able to put we already measured that was like number one on the check box to make sure whatever house we're looking at fits our dining room table so our dining room table will go there for family dinners from the dining room it opens up into the living room um which is liquid nice size it's not like a master great room but it's perfect and cozy for our family we have some changes we'll be making here i can't wait to share them with you as we do it but one of which includes converting that to a wood-burning fireplace that's something that's been on my wish list forever and here we don't have natural gas so that would be hooked up to propane it's not currently and that's not a great emergency heat source so we want to make sure we have something in case the power goes out to heat our home we're going to turn that into something that we can use one to be really cozy and two to actually heat our home in the event that we lose power if you swing around here this i guess you would call it a breakfast milk i don't know what we'll do with that space just yet we could put a small table there or we could [Music] draw a hopscotch board on the floor i'm not really sure we might end up putting a little table there we might just leave it open because when you have seven little people the more space there is to maneuver around the better and directly behind me is the kitchen i know y'all want to see it here we go this is the kitchen so over here we have a pantry loving the wooden door i think it's such a nice touch and then it's got these amazing built-in wooden shelves we will be able to put a lot of food in there super excited i think it's a little bit bigger than the one we had which is going to be perfect obviously we have a lot of mouths to feed which means a lot of food so having something to store all of that is uh ideal when you come out of the pantry and walk around you come over to the sink area dishwasher sink out the front window we will have a view of a horse pasture which is so cool to be able to look out and just see horses out there grazing all day so that was unexpected i didn't even realize it until today so i think that's really sweet we've got some pretty open shelving some glass cabinets and then one of my favorite things in any kitchen is having soft clothes cabinets especially with little kids who don't quite understand closed cabinets gently these are a lifesaver we also have like a trash drawer here with really deep trash cans our last ones were only like 14 gallon cans and i'm telling you we took the trash out multiple times a day because it would just fill up even though the bag wasn't full the bin was full so it's nice to have something a little bit bigger i also love that the microwave is down there we don't really use one and so it's possible we'll even turn that into an ice chest or something else but i love that versus having one above the stove having one somewhere else is really nice and they do have the cafe appliances we brought ours we'll have to scrub these out because celiac disease gluten cross-contamination all the things i'm not sure quite what we're gonna do yet my heart really really wants to have white cafe appliances so i don't know if that's just on the bucket list or if it's something we might actually look into swapping out here but it's not the like a grand master chef gordon ramsay kitchen but it is perfect for our family and our needs i love that we still have the island with a few places for stools so our kids can still sit there and eat breakfast or chat like they always do um i just this is my favorite open floor plan where we can see each other converse while we're doing different things in the home i love it hey what are you doing are you making yourself at home already are you here oh you're going to get me you go get me hi baby i love you he's going to be walking soon you want to come with me maybe daddy will hold you oh can you walk come on oh you were so close come on dining room pantry kitchen breakfast nook swing around to the door to the back porch oh my gosh one of our favorite things is this incredible porch you can't even see how long it is i came to the end of the porch so you can kind of get an idea for how long it is but you still stands out it's massive we're gonna put a table out here a dining table for cooler spring summer fall whatever season whatever nights that we want to have dinner and just sweep the food off the porch instead of cleaning it up off the floor i can't wait for that there are two fans to keep it cool if you live in the south you know it gets really muggy so this is amazing and then my favorite favorite part of all of it is the view you guys do you see those mountains in the background they look even better in person but i i'm telling you in the fall when all of these leaves are changing colors having coffee out here sitting in the evening having tea at night whatever it's not gonna get old it makes my heart sing and then if you listen way down there you can hear the kids playing there is a creek that runs like way down there all along the whole back of our property my mom is down there with the girls now and the dogs splashing around playing and exploring i just love it i love that i can hear them from here i love that they're off having an adventure outdoors loving every minute of it this is why we moved everyone who is asking why you guys just built your house why did you move this is why okay so back to the front door we come in we're going down the hallway in here is the first kid's bedroom which the bedrooms are a little bit smaller than bedrooms in our old house but they're still gonna be amazing we're gonna put two kiddos in this room um and then it has the cutest little walk-in closet with like a little seat anyway so that's gonna be for two of our girls and then go down the hall further there is a bathroom that's kind of like the main hall bath obviously these kids will share it but it's kind of the guest bathroom it's to be honest all of our kids use one bathroom all the time anyways even our other house the girls that slept on the third floor with their own bathroom still use the one on the second floor so i expect all the kids will probably be using this bathroom i'm going to close the toilet lid before this baby yeah anyway so there's this bathroom um that they'll be using and then we pop around one more room down here this is good it's the smallest bedroom uh but it'll make the perfect nursery for him he's still sleeping with us though so for right now we will probably put one of the other girls in here i don't know if it'll be adeline or elena those two kind of like their own space but there's also a nice sized walking closet in here and then this room has a really sweet view on the other side of the house we have another hallway and down this one it takes you what i like to call what do we call this i was just trying to come up with the name of the fly it didn't work master loop no something this is the master bedroom it's really blown out right now it's got beautiful wood paneling on the ceiling we might lighten that to not match the floor um but just give it like a little bit more make the ceiling feel higher will it make it feel higher recessed ceiling with wood boarding and then these windows again to our favorite view in the world our property it's so pretty you guys the master bedroom is a lot smaller than our other which that one was like unnecessarily big but i love that all the kids could come in and bunk out for a movie night it'd be a squeeze here we can still make it work but what i do love is it connects this master bathroom that has a walk-in shower and a freestanding tub this is the type of tub of my dreams i'm very excited about this we wanted one in our other house but we couldn't they couldn't put one in well we could have it was an exorbitant amount of money so really excited to have that here especially with the baby window in front of it i love it i love baths the kids love baths it's just it's gonna be really nice anyway and then this nice little shower situation there's like a overhead shower thing handle shower thing multiple options for your showering needs and here is a little linen closet for towels lots of storage i am a less is more person the more storage i have the more things i will find to put in the storage but we definitely won't run out of room to put things here which is awesome i'm gonna go through this door right here into the master closet i love the wood shelving the like natural colored wood is my jam i'm obsessed they have these amazing custom shelves with the rails super pretty i'm loading it there's also a safe which is really nice to put our valuables and then we loop around continue on through another door into the laundry room slash mud room slash laundry craft room the room where we will put all the things that we need to clean the house and do the things washer and dryer will go there there's a sink it's giant and i love it it's like super deep great for washing things off dirty clothes you name it i love all the shelving in here lots of again storage space for things i love the ship block it's just like so beautiful and it's huge you guys remember the laundry room our last house i don't understand a house with five bedrooms how they put in such a small laundry room it makes absolutely no sense to me but this is substantial this is a very big upgrade and i am so thankful because i couldn't even keep our dirty laundry in the laundry room at our other house i had to keep it in the hallway because the laundry room wasn't big enough oh and then there's this amazing sliding door with the chalkboard that covers up the laundry room so you want to see it i'm out of the laundry room continue down the hall the first door goes upstairs and this is gonna lead us to bonus space aka fourth bedroom aka four of our kids bedrooms we are gonna put tyler elena adeline and jude up here for the time being they've got this massive room they'll all be pretty comfortable up here and again there's a window with a view of the horse pasture across the street so the girls are gonna love that but i figured this is like a cozy space all of them can hang out in pretty comfortably and to be honest they really just sleep in their bedrooms the rest of the day they spend playing and doing other things they also have their own full bathroom up here sink toilet shower there's not a tub uh but that's okay the bigger girls reach the age where they can start taking showers and saving water conserve water kids uh and here is a attic space we've got just walk-in attic space on this side and on this side super cool to store things that we keep but never use you know the things that get lost in the attic for a million years and then people find them one day and they're like wow this stuff's really old and smelly come down i love that the only sets of stairs in this house are covered by doors so israel doesn't go up and does he go down and we don't have to okay bye we don't have to worry so much about baby gates on this floor we just can shut the door the next door leads down mrs jude's she left her puppy here downstairs so this is the potential that sold us for sure so this is going to be a homeschool room playroom family movie room kind of hang out i love love that has a kitchen it'll be perfect for snacks during school snacks during family game night movie time whatever we're gonna get a little fridge to go here gonna be super cute i'm very excited about this room and then there's a storage closet for all of our things that we need to store which is actually a lot most of the stuff in our other house came from the third floor hilariously enough then we go out this door and we find some children what are you guys doing we're keeping people talking you're keeping cool it is cool in here so this is all unfinished basement space it's a lot quieter all right so our plan is to finish this put a bedroom here build a bunk room oh it's dark build a bunk room across the back there and then i don't know this flex space might become the home school room it might become a craft area it might become something i'm not really sure yet i want to maybe we talked about putting a bathroom here but there's one over there which i didn't show you um our goal is to start canning and preserving food and just just to prepare just in case we reach hard times and as seasons of going without we want to make sure we have enough to take care of our family and help our community so we are planning to store lots in this room which was originally created to be a gun safe and seller it's like 36 feet wide it doesn't look as big here but that's actually really far away when not even there yet yeah whoa jude run to the other side oh yeah big old room so not exactly a root cellar but it'll kind of function like one for us where we're storing things so i thought a prep station with a sink and our food dehydrator or freeze dryer and that stuff right there would be really awesome anyway we haven't quite nailed down what we want to do down here but we know there's so much potential and we're really excited we know we need to put a couple more bedrooms because obviously our family is pretty big and we want to have room for our friends to stay when they come see us hence the bunk room idea i'm not sure exactly what will end up happening with that but those are our thoughts and then there's some double doors here that are amazing they lead you right outside to underneath our porch and to john recording back there so this is underneath so we have half covered patio down here and then half open i can't wait to see what we do with this i don't really know yet but i'm thinking probably basketball hoop up on the wall just kidding that's our master bedroom so that would be really obnoxious wouldn't it especially at night but we'll figure something out i know can't wait to have a fire pit an actual bonfire pit situation because out here in the country we can burn things and a lot of dead trees we actually have to take down and burn and make s'mores lots of s'mores really excited i came out those double doors but i'm gonna go back in for this store you stay you wait i'm gonna go back in through this door loops back into our family room home school room space and then i'll show you the bathroom that i grabbed earlier just a cute little full bath shower everything down here which is really nice again if we do put bunk spaces over there when we have guests they'll have their own little kitchen and bathroom area to use [Music] are you guys that concludes our home tour i hope you enjoyed it can't wait to show you what it looks like furnished and as we start knocking out
