Right, I am very, very excited for this video.
We are in Liverpool, in the UK,
and we are today continuing a series that we left.
For how long?
I think it's been two years, not since we've eaten it,
but since we've last picked up the mission, you know?
So we've had Jollibee in, obviously the Philippines,
a million times, we're just counting that as like,
one place because it's one country.
Actually, technically that doesn't work
because this is the second one in England.
So I don't really know how to count this anymore.
I can't count how many places we've had it
in the Philippines, probably like 60 or something.
Would you say?
Yeah, a lot of places, yeah.
So that's one.
Dubai, had it in Dubai, had it in Singapore, right?
Yes.
I've got Malaysia in my head, but I think I'm wrong.
We didn't have it in Malaysia, did we?
Do you know what?
And London, Earl's Court, and now Liverpool.
Yeah. Carry on.
It's been so long, but we said when we started
trying Jollibee in different countries,
that we wanted to try all over the world.
We know they're in Canada.
We know they're in-
All across America, aren't they?
America, yeah.
There's one in Sheffield, apparently, in England now.
Is there?
They're really expanding in England,
and there's now a second one in London.
Okay, we'll have to get up to Sheffield at some point.
But today, we're going to be trying it in Liverpool.
We're here for a couple of days.
We've been doing, making some vlogs as well.
So make sure you check those out.
But very excited.
Jollibee has a fantastic spot
in the main shopping high street here.
Yeah, it's right near Matthew Street,
which is like the famous Beatles street.
The Cavern Club, where we've just been, actually.
You can see that in our other vlog.
But today is all about the chicken, the chicken joy.
We want to see what the menu's like here.
In London, it was slightly different.
Okay.
It is this way.
In Dubai, it was slightly different.
I remember-
I think there's a few extra things in this one.
Biryani, right?
Chicken biryani, yeah, yeah, yeah.
In Dubai.
So we'll see what Liverpool has to offer.
We're just around the corner.
We'll get there now.
So this is Liverpool's main shopping area.
We are in Church Street right now.
And there's also a street called Paradise Street.
Loads of shops.
And Liverpool One, which is the big shopping center.
So we're kind of like in a crossroads right now
of the main shopping area.
And let us show you where the Jollibee store actually is.
Because-
Store.
Store?
I don't know if you'd call it a store.
What do you-
Restaurant.
I suppose restaurant would be the right word.
Look, it is right here.
Right...
It is right here.
Literally just off the main street.
Wow.
It's really nice in there, isn't it?
Look at that wall over there.
Yeah, it's modern.
Have a look.
I don't know how new it is, but we're done again, yeah?
Yeah.
So this is a difference already.
Because-
Wraps.
Wow.
I don't think in the Philippines
they have these screens to order Jollibee, do I?
No.
These are all over the UK now in fast food places.
I want to look in the wraps.
Chicken wrap.
Should try that.
Four pounds.
Without any sides or drink.
That's a lot.
That's more than McDonald's.
Yeah.
That's more than KFC Burger King.
Wow.
Okay.
So let's see-
Let's see what the menu's like.
Okay, so Yum Burger is two pounds seven seven.
Do you think it's like a funny price
because they've converted it?
It's not like a rounded price.
Yeah, like three pounds and two pence
is a weird price, isn't it?
They've got chicken tenders,
so like the boneless chicken,
which also isn't available in the Philippines,
but I think we had that in London.
They do chicken burgers here.
Oh, there's a five pound meal deal.
What's that?
Oh, that's quite good.
That's quite a good value.
Five pound for a burger, chips, drink, and a sundae.
We should get one of them maybe.
Do they do like the classic chicken joint?
Yeah.
They do rice bowls.
Again, six pound and four pence.
That's a lot.
Chicken joint.
Yeah.
One piece is a meal.
Three piece.
I've never seen a three piece meal, have you?
And then one piece with spaghetti.
What do you want to get?
Okay, we need to turn you guys off
so we can have a talk,
and then we'll come back in a sec.
What's that?
William, where's the rice at?
So the rice, so the sides options, only fries.
Do you not have rice?
I think rice might be on the sides.
I want rice.
I really wanted rice.
It might be on the sides.
Okay, I hope so.
It's just maybe not in the meal deal.
Okay, okay, okay.
So nice.
So we are just waiting for our order now.
Look at the branding on the inside.
It's really nice.
It's so cool.
Something really interesting as well.
When you go into a Jollibee in the Philippines,
you're obviously used to seeing all the Filipinos
working there, but from what I can see,
none of the staff are Filipino.
So that's interesting.
I don't think any are.
And all the customers and stuff
are from all over the world in there,
so it's so cool to see that Jollibee
is doing so well in the UK.
It's really, really nice to see.
Did you want the rice bowl?
I didn't order it.
We've got the wrap.
It's the same kind of thing.
Yeah.
Yeah?
Yeah, that's good.
And if you happen to be new to the channel, by the way,
we're not just coming here for the first time to try it.
We spent so much time in the Philippines,
and obviously we learned how much Jollibee
is such a nostalgic thing for Filipinos,
growing up, childhood.
Similar to McDonald's with us in the UK,
we had McDonald's kids' parties and stuff like that,
but Jollibee is like, like the Jollibee commercials,
it shows that real nostalgic element
to Filipino culture, I suppose.
Sorry, I'm like in the background of that,
just squinting, reading the menu.
Thank you.
Enjoy.
Thank you so much.
Thank you.
I'm not used to that.
But it's purely a matter of fact,
we're going to import this year.
Yeah.
Cool.
We'll have to come back for that then.
Yeah.
It's so good.
Yeah.
The spicy chicken's really good, yeah.
Okay, we've got all of our food,
and apparently people come here
and ask for the mango peach pie,
which they don't do in the UK,
but we just got told.
I don't know if we were supposed
to share this information with you guys,
but apparently it's coming in December.
So we will have to come back
and get a mango peach pie.
Sorry if the music's a little bit loud,
but we can't do anything about that.
But anyway, our order is here.
We went for a lot of food in the end.
There was one thing we didn't order,
just to start off with,
which was the Jolli spaghetti,
which we both liked.
You won't believe this.
You won't believe it.
Comment below before I say it
how much you think it costs.
So now we'll tell you,
it was over, in Philippine pesos,
over 1,000 pesos.
Oh no, it wasn't.
It was.
Oh, sorry.
It was really catchy.
Sorry, I got my calculations wrong there.
You're spreading rumours.
You're like, starting this thing that's not true.
It was about this, which is,
okay, around 385 pesos for one portion.
For one spaghetti.
So that's six pounds something for one spaghetti.
Five pounds, yeah.
So we didn't do that,
but we did get chicken joy.
We did get a chicken burger,
which is unique to the UK.
Thank you.
We actually were thinking,
maybe the spaghetti would be great.
A spaghetti and a hotdog would be amazing,
if that's all right.
That'd be amazing.
Thank you so much.
Thank you.
Wow, there you go.
They just came over and offered us
if we wanted anything else to try out.
So we are getting spaghetti,
and we're getting the hotdog as well.
I would have to pay the price to get it.
I'm sure it'll be worth it.
We did not do that on purpose.
We promise.
We didn't say that really loudly,
and then she was like,
We would be happy to pay it,
but we've bought so much,
we don't want to waste anything.
But we'll eat it all.
We will manage to get through all of this.
We thought it'd be interesting to try some of the stuff
that you can't get in the Philippines.
I also feel like they've turned the music off for us.
They're being very nice to us in here.
They are.
And also compare the standard items.
So Lucy's gone straight in with the fries straight away.
So how are they?
We're missing dips.
I've just remembered.
We didn't order any gravy.
I think we've messed up.
Because normally it comes with the meal, doesn't it?
But here it doesn't.
Shut up.
Okay, I'm going to go straight in with the chicken wrap,
because this is the item I'm most excited by.
Are you all right if I just tuck into the wrap, Beck?
It's new as well.
And it's got this Asian ginger sauce or something
with a nice little green haircut at the top here.
Loads of lettuce.
I think there's some coleslaw inside as well.
Asian slaw.
So let's give this a go.
That is the mouthful of lettuce.
But let me get to the chicken.
Now we're in with the chicken.
I'm just making a total mess, but it's all right.
That's good.
That's really good.
It's unusual.
The ginger sauce is really, it's quite a strong flavour.
Is it ginger?
Can you read the menu for me?
This is chicken wrap with something.
It's a really fresh, like, alternative.
I like the lettuce.
I like the crunch of the coleslaw.
It's good.
The wrap is really fresh.
I love that dressing.
It's really nice.
It's a little bit spicy.
Oh, thank you so much.
That is very, very kind of you.
Here we go.
Oh, wow.
That's huge.
That's amazing.
Thank you so much.
Thank you.
Okay, we have our spaghetti.
That looks like a big portion.
I am going to try the burger
because you guys know I love burgers.
If you watch the channel regularly,
other than in London, where I did try, this looks better.
I wasn't honestly that impressed in London.
We, I think we said it in the video, the burger.
It felt like the standard in the Philippines was higher.
Yeah, the burger wasn't good, but I mean,
have a little look here.
The bun, I'm intrigued by,
this looks like the American buns.
I'm always jealous of American YouTubers
that have Jollibee there.
Really?
And they've got this like shiny brioche style bun.
It looks like that.
That's what I mean.
The bun looks a lot better.
I love it, love it, love it, love it.
Right, I'm going to just take a massive bite of this burger
because it looks great.
It's, it's a simple burger.
It's the bun, the fried chicken, lettuce, and a sauce.
That's it.
Spicy as well.
The staff here were saying that they're jealous
that there's not spicy chicken joy here in England
because it's out in the Philippines.
How is it?
But that is really spicy.
Is it?
Mm-hmm.
Too spicy?
Whoa.
That is spicy.
That's spicier than the spicy chicken joy
in the Philippines, for sure.
The gravy's different.
We've got some of the sauce.
Bun's really good.
Is it?
Oops.
Oh yeah, it looks watery.
It's really watery.
It tastes the same.
Looks thinner.
Chips are good.
Chips are solid.
Quite a nice big piece of chicken.
It really like hangs over the bun.
I'm glad we got ice cream because that is hot.
I don't think I should have had that first.
I need a drink.
Is this our drink?
I'm not getting the spice.
Oh yeah, I am.
Oh, it's in my neck.
That's really spicy.
That's the spiciest thing I've ever had at Jollibee.
I was going to say, in your life.
Wow.
It's really tasty, but that's UK spice though, isn't it?
Okay.
I am going to try the hot dog,
which is a classic in the Philippines.
It really is.
The first time I had this, I wanted it again.
And this looks extra cheesy and extra delicious.
And I know this one won't be spicy,
so we're okay with this one.
This is messy.
What's the green stuff?
Is there chili in there?
Maybe.
I hope that's not.
Slide it to the edge and then you can eat it out of the box.
Okay.
This is really, really messy.
Way more cheese than I'm used to.
And the mustard sauce, I think it is.
Mm.
Good.
Mm.
Okay.
The sauce is slightly different from what I remember.
It's less sweet and it's got a stronger mustard flavor.
It looks good.
It's really good.
I really like that.
The bun looks good.
I like the change.
I like the difference.
Okay.
Luckily they've got rice on the menu.
I was very worried.
My favorite thing to do with this rice.
I don't know if anyone else does it.
It's just eat it like a burger.
Just for the first bite.
Mm.
It's hot.
Mm.
Ooh, I love plain rice on its own.
Oh, so good.
Right, we've got one piece of the chicken joy here.
I don't know what piece this is.
I've never seen it look like this.
What is this?
Does anyone know in the comments?
It's just one piece chicken joy.
It's breast.
I know that.
Is it?
I think it's breast, yeah.
Is it?
You normally just get leg or thigh, don't you?
Or like-
Maybe.
I don't know.
Anyway, I'll try it.
Mm.
It's different.
Is it?
It's not better or worse.
Different.
It's a different flavor.
Is it a different recipe?
It can't be a different recipe, can it?
Does anyone know if it is a different recipe?
Comment below,
because maybe this has been a while for us.
We've been out of the country for a couple of months now,
and it has been a long time since we ate it,
but I don't remember it tasting like that.
It's really good,
but it just tastes slightly different to normal.
I'm gonna have a look at it.
It looks similar.
Let me try that.
Okay, I need to try this myself.
I might be off.
I might be wrong.
Mm.
It's really good, but it's different.
I think-
No, you're good.
You're good.
Very good.
Thank you.
Really, really nice.
Thank you.
Thanks so much.
But definitely different.
Chickenjoy's got a more unique flavor
when you try it in the Philippines.
No, London was in the Philippines.
Yeah, you're right.
Interesting.
Okay, cool.
So a little change there.
We've got the chicken tenders, two pieces.
It's a big piece, isn't it?
Funny shape, but it looks good.
This one looks extra meaty as well,
so I'm gonna go in with that one.
Dip it in the gravy.
Mm.
Really nice.
It's got this orange color, if you have a look.
It's definitely a different color to the chickenjoy.
I don't know if it's like a spice thing,
or it's a slightly different recipe there again.
It's really nice.
So nice proper pieces of big chicken.
Really tasty.
Okay, Lucy is doing it the old Filipino way.
I just love plain rice on its own.
Yeah.
We have sanitized and washed our hands thoroughly.
Okay, check out the size of this spaghetti portion.
Wow.
It is huge.
That is super heavy.
I'm gonna try that now.
Do I have a fork?
Can I finish that?
You go ahead and finish that, Lucy.
Hey.
Very good.
Oh, they're really good.
Thank you so much.
Oh, that's nice.
One of the managers here just came up and said
their mom loves our vlogs.
So if that is you watching, thanks so much.
Yeah, absolutely.
The team here have been great, by the way.
Liverpool staff, so nice.
They bought us extra food.
They made sure we were comfortable, the food was good.
So huge shout out to everyone who works here
at the Liverpool Jollibee,
but I'm gonna try the spaghetti now.
I'm just gonna get right in it.
Will it be sweet?
Is it?
You're still enjoying the chicken joy, okay.
Will it be sweet?
Will it have that Filipino sweet tomato taste?
It has the same bits of hotdog in here.
Let me just try the sauce.
It's good, but it's less sweet.
I have a feeling that they have adjusted
the recipe slightly, maybe for the taste buds over here.
Because I know Filipinos love this sauce, super sweet.
And that, from my memory, and my taste bud memory,
that is a little bit less sweet.
Still really good.
Hotdog's good.
Spaghetti's good.
It's very, very cheesy.
And the sauce is sweeter
than you would normally have spaghetti here in England.
Yeah.
But that is a little bit less sweet.
But very, very tasty.
Addictive.
I love the spaghetti here.
Okay, I need to put a fire out in my mouth
to finish that chicken burger.
It's so spicy.
And I've got some ice cream to go with this.
This is an ice cream sundae,
but it's mango and coconut.
So I've never heard of this.
Ooh, wow, it smells very coconut-y.
So it's got like desiccated coconut on top.
Can you see that?
And these little cube bits of mango.
Oh.
It's like whipped cream on top.
Oh, it's such sweet ice cream.
I thought the ice cream was whipped cream
because it tastes so sweet.
It's really good.
Nice tropical flavour.
Mango and coconut is a winning combination.
The mango's a tiny bit sour in a good way.
So it kind of like breaks up the sweetness.
Mm, really good.
Okay, I'm feeling very satisfied.
Incredibly full.
It satisfied the craving that we've had.
We've missed for a little while.
Like Jor said, staff are so nice here.
Food's been really, really good.
It's been really nice to try out
some slightly different things as well.
Instead of just like the usual menu items
that we're used to.
And we also loved just seeing people
from all different walks of life,
all different parts of the world,
trying it, which is really, really cool.
But we are going to end this video off here
and love and leave you guys.
Yes, thank you for watching.
Thank you, Liverpool Jollibee, for having us.
Yes.
And being so welcoming.
Yeah, they didn't invite us here.
Oh, no, no, no.
We just came.
We just wanted to come,
but they were very nice when we arrived.
Yes.
So yeah, big shout out to everyone here.
If you enjoyed this video, give it a big thumbs up.
