ADOPTING 3 KIDS for a week!
Our great friends Kristin and Aron are in the hospital with their newborn. They needed someone to help watch their 3 girls while they were there and we were glad to help them out in their time of need!
We feel like God gave us this home to help and bless others and in this moment it was not even a question.
It's going to be really interesting. Tyler always said she wanted us to have 10 kids.
Okay guys, things are about to get wild. So first off, we have a showing this morning.
John's about to take the kids. We're going over to Becca's house. She's going to come help me.
We're going to get this place super tidy to really put its best foot forward. People coming have
seen it one time so this is the second time they're coming to see it which is very promising
but we want it to sparkle a little extra. So then John is heading out to our friend's house.
It's about an hour and a half away. He is going to pick up their three daughters to bring them here.
Our friends are in the hospital with their new baby who is not even two weeks old but developed
a fever. Anyway, if you want updates on that, you can follow along on our friend's Instagram.
Her name is Kristen. Her Instagram handle is Mamatiger. Anyway, we just love their kids,
literally like our own. So they're going to come stay with us. That way both of them can be there
with their baby and they don't have to worry about anything. So he's going to pick them up,
bring them back here. Our kids don't know. They'll probably be here for a week. I'm not really sure
so it could get super interesting. We will basically have 10 kids and we are praying
especially that today's showing goes so well that we don't have to do any more.
While it's not been so bad keeping it clean with seven kids, I'm just not entirely sure
what it would look like to try to keep it clean with 10. Anyway, we'll keep you guys posted
on all of these things. Yeah, it's going to be really interesting. Tyler always said she wanted
to have 10 kids here or wanted us to have 10 kids. So I guess this is a trial run. I'm just
kidding and John would kill me if he knew I said that. All right, guys, I am heading out to take
Elena, Jude, and Maren with me and we're going to pick up the girls and they don't even know about
it. None of their kids know about it. I'm excited. I think it's going to be a lot of crazy time while
they're here but it's going to be fun and we'll make the best of it. You buckled yourself? Good
job. Do you want me to help you? I know how to do it. Hey, good job. You do know how to do it.
Oh, you did it. Give me five, dude. Those are in your seat. Can you buckle yourself?
Boom. Good job. You're probably thinking, John, y'all are crazy. You're trying to sell your house
and show your house and you're adding more chaos to the home. Yes, we are because we feel like God
gave us this home and any home we've ever had to help and bless others and in this moment it was
not even a question that our friends are in need and that we were going to be there to help and
support them and if we can use this house to throw some more children into and that's what we're
going to do. And God's going to take care of this house selling, okay? He's going to handle that
and we're going to go handle these kids.
All right, we are almost here, folks. What is going on with this? My GPS is all over the place.
Let's see. Right here. Oh, we're here. All right. Do you know where we are?
Why are we at this place? Oh, you'll see in just a moment.
We're not going to be here too long, but we're going to stretch our bodies a little bit, okay?
Look who it is. What do you say? Why are y'all acting like that? Say hi. Look who it is.
Now, do you remember where we are? Yeah, I was thinking it. Oh, I miss you.
Hey, Willow. Willow. Hey, Willow. Willow, they have no idea what y'all are doing. They don't
even know. They didn't even know we were going to come see you guys. They don't know what's
about to happen. You guys didn't really? You want to tell them what's about to happen?
We're going to have a sleepover.
Do you know how long they're going to be sleeping over for? For a couple days.
You want to go find Zoe? Well, everyone. Are y'all packed up and ready to go? Yes. Did
you bring bathing suits? Yes. Good idea. I got one back here. Are you so sleepy? Did you see
All right, y'all ready? Have a good time sleeping and dreaming. I love that. That's good. Let's go,
let's go, let's go. And after a few tears, we're finally on the road.
All right, we're here.
Let's go at the same time. Zoe, you want to go say surprise?
Y'all ready? Yeah. All right, come on, Maren. Y'all gotta be quiet.
All right, surprise is here.
Hi. We're staying here for three days. We're having a fun party. My birthday wish came true.
We missed you guys. I missed you too. Wait, where am I going to sleep?
We're going to have to make room and figure it out. Already at home.
How do you feel about having 10 girls here? 10 girls.
Wait, what? Oh, no. Yeah, me. I'm one. Oh, okay. Yeah, you are a girl. How do you feel about 10
girls? And Zoe, his future wife. We've already arranged the marriage.
You might just want to stick close to mom, pal.
All right, let's go see what these kids are doing. It is too quiet. There's seven girls up here.
No, wait. Sorry about that. Nine girls up here and it's so quiet. Why?
All right, there's four of them in there playing Legos. That's what I'm talking about.
More Legos. Is Jude not in here? No. It's just you with the little kids?
All right. You watching them good, Tora? Yeah. All right. That's Tora. She's in there with
her little sister, who's two, and Maren, who's three. She's babysitting them. Perfect. Built-in
babysitter. I'll take it. I forgot I didn't introduce you to them. And this, we're going
introduce Willow, so everybody knows who Willow is. How old are you, Willow? I just turned nine
on the 30th of April. Oh, well, happy birthday. Thank you. Happy birthday. Happy birthday.
How old's Tora? She's actually turning seven next month. Seven next month. Nice. So right now,
she's six. Right now, she's six. So we have a nine-year-old, almost seven-year-old,
and you said Zoe's going to be two next month? She's going to be two next month. Yep. So we got...
Nice. Well, very cool. We're excited to have them here. Right, boys? We got to stick together.
Us boys got to stick together. Say hi. Oh, he said, kiss my feet.
Oh, don't go up the stairs, bud. Wow. Look at you.
This little buddy, he was born here. Oh, Daniel's getting risky, everybody. Taking a risk,
taking a gamble. Will the kids eat it? It's very questionable. Probably not.
But if they get hungry enough, which by the time it's done,
they might be. They should be. She's making zucchini boats, people.
But they'll be like pizza, so... Pizza zucchini boats.
Y'all ready to eat? Yeah. It's about to happen. Okay, go ahead,
Mary. All right, listen up. Mary's going to bust the food.
Amen. Beautiful.
What do you think about the food?
Popsicles. All right, a little playtime before bed.
Popsicles, maybe a bad idea. We'll find out. They're organic. It's just fruit juice,
but it's still sugar. So a little playtime and then bedtime, and that is a different monster.
So hopefully it goes well. What do you think? Do you think it's going to go good? All right,
Laney has volunteered to read Zoe books and try to get her to sleep. We're going to see what
happens. She really likes it. Go to Nana. Well, friends, bedtime is a little challenging,
but hopefully it won't be too much longer. We'll report back, let you know how it goes in the next
video. Hoping it goes really well. We'll let you know. We love you. We'll see you later.
