My Natural Sweat Proof Summer Makeup Routine ☀️

Hi everyone, welcome back.
Today I'm going to be sharing my summer makeup routine with you.
I discovered this grouping of products about a week ago.
I was not filming, I just threw on some makeup to run out and just run a few errands.
I had to go to the grocery store, I went to the library, I just went a few different places
and it was hot this day.
It was like almost 100 degrees here in North Carolina this day and I was shocked.
Number one, by how well my makeup lasted by the time I got home and number two, I just
loved this grouping of products together.
So at the end of that day, I knew this was going to be the go-to summer makeup routine
for me and I wanted to share it with you.
So that's what we're going to be doing today.
If you're new here, my name is Blair, I do all kinds of beauty and makeup content here
on YouTube every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
I hope you'll subscribe and let's get started.
Alright, before we get started with the makeup, I'm going to do SPF.
I feel like I can't do a summer makeup routine without starting it with SPF so this has been
my go-to lately.
I've shown it quite a few times but this one by Skin 1004 has been it for me.
I love the consistency, it's not super greasy but it's not a matte finish either, it just
kind of dries down to a natural finish I would say.
It's super thin, it doesn't feel or smell like sunscreen.
I've been loving it and this one is SPF 50 which is amazing and I have not had any problems
with this one underneath makeup which is a huge plus for me and all of us makeup wearers.
I know how annoying it is when you use an SPF and it does not agree with your makeup.
There is nothing more annoying than that.
So I'm just applying this all over, in fact I would need to order another one of these
because I'm almost out of it but it's very very similar to the Beauty of Josian sunscreen.
If you've used that one before, this one is very very similar.
Also do not forget to bring your sunscreen down your neck and your chest if your chest
is exposed.
Alright, let's get started with the makeup.
First thing I did was I took just a little bit of the Milk Hydro Grip Primer.
Not a lot, I did one pump which is really not very much at all.
And I applied this all over but I mainly focused it right here, right in the center of my face
because typically if my makeup is going to wear off, that's usually where it does.
So I just kind of focused it here and then obviously you can just kind of take it up
wherever else you want but mainly focusing it where you notice that your makeup wants
to either slide off your face or just wear away.
That's where you want to apply this and you don't need a lot of it.
That's another thing, I want to do really sheer layers of product, especially during
summertime when it's hot and humid and it just doesn't feel good to have a lot of layers
of makeup on your skin.
So light layers is key.
Alright, then I went in with this product which I haven't used this in a little while.
I don't know why I picked this up but the E.L.F. Halo Glow in shade number 3.
So I remember I did a video on these a while ago when they came out and I have shade 2,
shade 3, and shade 4 and these are pretty pigmented I would say.
So they're more pigmented than the Hollywood Flawless Filters from Charlotte Tilbury.
But I took shade 3 and I did just a little dot on my cheeks and then I did like a little
bit on my nose and that's it.
I didn't take it everywhere just because first of all, these do add a lot of pigment.
Like I was saying, they're not super sheer.
They're very glowy but they have a lot of color to them.
So I didn't want to take this all over but I end up loving this particular shade, this
peachy color.
I think it's, it kind of goes well with the other things I used on my face that we'll
get to in a minute but I did that, took just whatever brush, or actually I think I might
have used a sponge the other day and I just blended that in on the tops of my cheeks and
then I just wanted a little bit on my nose.
Alright, for a corrector for under my eyes, I used the new one from Huda Beauty.
This is the Faux Filter Corrector in the shade Pink Pomelo.
So this is the lightest shade and this is the corrector that I used.
So you don't need a lot of this stuff.
It spreads quite a bit.
I did a video on these already, a full review on this shade and the peach shade that I will
link above for you somewhere if you want to see that.
But I do like to let this kind of sit on my under eyes for about a minute before I blend
it in.
Okay.
And then I just blended that on my under eyes with a brush using the Smashbox Blurring Concealer
brush for this.
Alright, for a complexion product, this is one of the stars of this makeup look to me.
And the more I use this product, the more I just absolutely love it.
It's a new favorite 100% and it's the Natasha Denona High Glam Concealer.
I use this all over my face.
So I used it under my eyes as concealer and then I used it just on my face like you would
a foundation or skin tint or whatever you're using.
And I almost think this is even better as a complexion product just for coverage as
opposed to just an under eye concealer.
This is a, I don't know what it is, but it looks so beautiful on your skin as just coverage.
I don't know what it is, but I'm telling you it is so pretty and you do not need a lot
of it.
I've said this before about this concealer, but this is very opaque.
So a lot of it is going to be too much.
I guarantee you if you over apply this, you probably won't like it.
It's going to look heavy.
You just don't need a lot of this product.
It spreads and it packs a punch when it comes to pigment.
So you don't need a lot.
And I'm using the shade N2.
And actually I like this concealer so much that I went just a few days ago, I ordered
another shade of this because that's how much I like it.
And then I blend that in with a brush.
I'm using the Smashbox Blurring Foundation Brush.
I've been back using this brush again.
It's a really good one.
So I'm basically blending the areas where I want the least amount of coverage first
and then going from there.
But I'm telling you guys, this concealer on your face, if you have it and you have not
tried it this way, please do.
Because I'm telling you, it is just beautiful.
And I also think that one of the reasons I loved this so much was because I paired that
e.l.f. Halo Glow underneath.
I'm telling you, it pairs so beautifully with something dewy and glowy underneath because
it's more of a matte finish.
And the coverage is amazing.
I mean, it is amazing.
Look at that coverage.
So I just kind of bounce this all over.
The only thing I would say with this is just don't over-apply it.
If you over-apply, I guarantee you will not like it because like I said, it packs a punch
with pigment.
Okay.
And then I'm going to switch to the F03 from Sigma for under my eyes.
I've been back on this brush again for my under eyes.
Alright, so this is the concealer all over.
I don't know if it will translate, but in real life, this looks literally flawless.
I mean, I just can't even tell you how pretty it looks over that e.l.f. Halo Glow.
But, alright, this is the other like key product from this makeup and I don't know what made
me do this the other day, but I just, I don't know, I had this product kind of on my mind
and I was like, I'm going to try using this in a different way.
And it is this ridiculously expensive highlighter from West Vinotelier.
This is the Super Loaded Tinted Highlight in the shade Potapetch.
So many of you told me I needed this, which is why I bought this a few months ago now.
And I'm telling you, this is a beautiful product and it's been beautiful since I got it.
But, what I did with this the other day, I absolutely loved and I used it kind of as
a bronzer and a blush and a highlight all in one on my skin tone.
I just loved it.
So we're going to do it again today.
I'm going to use a 106 from BK Beauty with this and I don't know what it was about this,
but this just, it did it for me.
It's not like intense color, but oh my gosh, is it pretty to use this way.
Like you don't have to really go in hard with it.
You can just kind of lightly dust it around the perimeter of your face, but obviously
I'm using it mainly like right here.
I should have been doing this all along apparently because when I did this the other day, I was
like, oh my gosh, that is really beautiful.
The way I've been using it is just like you would like a normal cream highlight and just
after I've done blush and bronzer and all that, kind of tapping it on just like you
normally do highlight, but I don't know.
I feel like that almost takes away from how pretty this product is on its own.
And now I, I can't unsee that I did this, so I absolutely loved it and don't worry.
I know we look very glowy.
We are going to use powder in a second, so don't worry.
But if you have this, I know a lot of you do.
Have you tried it this way?
If you're, obviously you have to have a bit of a lighter skin tone to be able to use this
this way, but if you do and you have not tried it, you should.
And if you have tried it, let me know what you think of this.
But how pretty is that?
So once I had that on, then I went in with some powder and I don't, again, I don't really
know what made me do this, but this is what I did and I loved it.
The Jane Iredell Powder Foundation.
I've had this for a few months.
I love it.
This is, if I had to pick a powder foundation at the moment, this would be the one.
I don't know what shade I have.
It's one of those refillable compacts, so I have to like pop out the powder to see what
the name is, but I will put it below in the description box.
But I took this with a little handy kabuki brush and I'm not like coating it super heavy
in it, but I just took it and tapped this on my face.
I didn't do too much over the cheek area, just kind of a little bit, but I mainly focused
it right in the center of my face.
Like do you see that?
I already took away a lot of that shine we were seeing.
So I'm just kind of light.
I'm using this, I guess, like you would just a normal setting powder and I'm barely like
When I'm touching my face with this, like I'm using extremely light pressure, so I'm
not going in really hard with it, but that's what I did and I don't know.
This combination, I'm telling you guys, it was so pretty.
All right, then I wanted to add a little bit more color, so I went in with this blush from
Almay.
This is the Healthy Hue blush in the shade Nearly Nude and I think what I loved about
this is it's kind of, it's a blush, but it could definitely be a bronzer also just because
of the tone.
It's very just nude, a little bit bronzy, a little bit peachy, but not too, too peachy.
It's really, really pretty and I used it with the Smashbox Buildable Cheek Brush and I just
kind of went all around where we put that Pot de Peche and again, I think brush is key
with this.
This brush is really like wispy on the ends, so you're not going to get like intense color
payoff with it.
I've actually had this blush for a while and I feel like I've definitely been like sleeping
on it.
I pulled it out recently in that Shot My Stache video that I did and I definitely rediscovered
it because I've definitely been sleeping on it for sure.
All right, so once I got to this step, I set my face with this, the Charlotte Airbrush
Flawless Setting Spray, which is one of my favorites and I really do think this is one
of the best setting sprays on the market.
So I like covered my face in that.
Also right now during the Nordstrom sale that's going on, the anniversary sale, you can get
two of these in a set together for I think it's $52, which is a pretty good deal and
they're full size.
I did order one of those because I knew this is one of my favorite setting sprays.
I love it.
So if you're in need of it, just so you know, you can get that right now during the Nordstrom
sale.
For brows, I didn't do anything like out of the ordinary.
I did use a brow wax.
I used this Anastasia one, but I didn't do anything like really, really special with
my brows.
But I did do them after I had done my face.
I did not apply the brow wax first like I do sometimes, so I just kind of lightly filled
them in.
Okay, so I'm using the L'Oreal Brow Stylist Definer in Ash Brown.
And I filled my brows in like I've been doing, which I have been brushing them down first
and then kind of filling in the top and then going in and filling in a little bit more.
I did my brows.
Also, I realized I did not use that Anastasia gel the other day.
This is what I used and this has been my go-to brow gel lately.
The Benefit 24 Hour Brow Setter.
You guys, they are not kidding when they say this sets your brows in place, but not to
the point that they feel like gross and crunchy.
Like, I don't really love that.
So that's what I use.
So I used that today.
Alright, for the eyes I did super, super minimal.
I took a little bit of Rare Beauty Eye Primer.
Not very much at all.
I took a little eyeshadow brush and blended that in.
This is just one from the Morphe collab with Ariel.
Alright, for eyeshadow, I used one thing.
One thing.
I think I've talked about this in a video.
I can't remember, but this has been my absolute favorite single eyeshadow lately.
Shade 22M from Armani.
It is such a beautiful mid-toned brown and I like it because you can really get a different
intensity on your eyes depending on how much you apply.
So like when I've been using it every day, I use just like one swipe.
Like that.
I take the MAC 217 typically and I blend all over really on the lid and then I blend up.
And these also, these Armani eye tints, they come in a ton of different colors.
I just happen to really like this color and it's just a little bit of something.
It's not a lot of color, but like I said, you can add more and make it darker if you
want.
But I really like these, I think, in the summer in particular because I love like a glowier
base.
And I think a matte one and done eyeshadow with that is just really nice.
But they do make really beautiful shimmery eye tints as well from Armani.
I just, I use this one the most by far.
So I literally just draw a little bit on and then fluff it upward.
And also I did use the Rare Beauty eyeshadow primer, but you definitely don't have to use
an eyeshadow primer.
You could use your concealer if you want.
But I just find, for me personally, when it's hot outside, I find an eye primer works
the best for me.
Sometimes I find my concealers don't work as well as a base for shadows, just for my
eyes personally.
But if that works for you, you could do that too.
See how like minimal that is?
But I just think it's so pretty.
And then I took a little bit of what was left on my lower lash line.
Alright, I did take a little bit of eyeliner, but I mean like a little bit of eyeliner.
But this is the one that I used.
It's Makeup by Mario, but it's the soft brown shade.
So it's not as dark as the Perfect Brown.
It's a lot lighter.
And I applied just a little bit of this on the outer corner of my lash line.
Like not very much at all.
Just a little.
And then actually I always forget, they have this brush on the other end of these eyeliners.
And this is actually perfect to kind of smudge these out with or bring it in a little bit
if you want.
Draw it out in a wing a little if you want.
But I like this formula because it lasts.
When it sets down, it's there to stay.
So it's just like blown out eyeliner.
Like it's there, but it's not really there, you know?
Alright, then I'm going to take my Serrat lash curler and curl my lashes.
Alright, and then I think for mascara, I cannot remember which one of these two I used the
other day.
I love them both.
These are like holy grails for me now.
Even this one from Maybelline, the Falsies Surreal.
Love this one.
I think I used Elf Lash and Roll though, so we're going to use this one.
You know how I feel about this one.
I love it very, very much.
Especially for like this kind of look that's very like natural and just perfect for everyday.
This is the brown color.
Alright, before we go on with the lips and finish this up, I'm going to take the Owl
Night Blush again with an eyeshadow brush and I'm just going to pop a little bit of
this in the crease.
I did this the other day too and it just kind of, well first of all, it kind of locks in
that liquid shadow even though I find that those last really well on me, but it also
just kind of pulls everything together.
Finally, for the lips, this was kind of another unexpected combination that I did, but I used
this lip liner from Charlotte Tilbury.
This is the shade Love Trap.
I love this shade and I feel like it is very highly underrated.
I don't hear anyone talk about this color and it's a little bit brown, a little bit
peachy.
It's honestly probably my favorite of all the lip liners from her.
So this is Love Trap and that's the lipstick we're going to use, which is Very Victoria.
Another very underrated lipstick, in my opinion.
And then I took a little bit of Very Victoria from Charlotte Tilbury, not like a ton of
it, and I just kind of applied it and smudged it out a little bit and you could definitely
just leave it like this if you want to keep it more matte, but I have been keeping this
lip product in my purse and I threw it on over this the other day.
I just, I can't get enough of these YSL Candy Glazes.
If you like that very glossy lip look with just a little bit of color, not a ton, just
a little bit, these are so nice.
This is shade 15, I think it's called Showstopping Nude, I think.
I took this and added it on top and it added just a little bit more color and a little
bit of that glossy finish.
Alright, then one final thing, I'm going to take a little bit more of the Jane Iredell
Powder Foundation and I'm going to switch to a little bit of a smaller brush.
This is a Morphe A14.
And I'm just going to add a little bit more powder right here on really the under eye
and like the side of my nose just to mattify that area just a little bit, a little bit
more like right here between the brows, and then set my face one more time.
Alright you guys, that is it for this summer makeup routine.
I hope you like this video.
I knew, like I said, when I did this makeup the other day, I loved the way it looked so
much and it wore well.
It was just such a good makeup day that I knew instantly, okay, I have to do a video
on this.
So if you try this look out or if you own any of these products already, let me know
and if you do try it out, I would love to know what you think of this routine, but I
am telling you, this is just summertime perfection in my mind at least.
It's makeup but not, it's like an intentional makeup look.
It's not like tons and tons of product, obviously this video is going to be a bit longer most
likely because I'm talking and kind of explaining as I go, but this makeup you could do pretty
quick.
This is not something that would take you that long, so I hope you enjoyed the video.
I will have all the products listed and linked below for you.
