Welcome to Sandwiches of History. Today from Walkabout Parties in 1975 posted by Vintage
Recipe Cards, we're going to be making the Fiesta Beef Roll. First thing we do to ground beef, we
add diced onions, salt, green bell pepper, chili powder, breadcrumbs, ketchup, cheddar cheese,
and egg. And get that all mixed together. And we put that onto a piece of aluminum foil. Now we
top that with crushed corn chips and chopped black olives. Then we roll it up kind of like a sushi
roll. Then we transfer it to a wire rack over a baking tray. Bake in a 350 degree oven for an hour.
Meanwhile we toast up some french bread. Now we just put slices of our beef onto toast. I almost
forgot we've got to top it with taco sauce. Okay let's give this Fiesta Beef Roll a go. I think
it's delicious. Yeah this is tasty. I mean you've got the chili powder, the onions, the green bell
peppers, the black olives, the corn chips in there, the cheddar cheese. It is tastier than the taco
sauce. I like it. It's pretty nostalgic for me because, I don't know, growing up this is the kind
of tacos that we had. I know they're not the authentic tacos but they're still tasty. I do
want to plus it up a little. I'm going to add some avocado. Okay let's give this Fiesta Beef Roll
plussed up with avocado a go. You know rich and delicious avocado goes well with the taco sauce
and all the seasoning in the meat. All right so the original Fiesta Beef Roll, very nostalgic for
me. That tasted like the tacos that we would have growing up. And again I know they're not
authentic tacos but they're still tasty. I'm going to give that an eight. Plus up a little avocado,
eight and a half, nine. That is tasty. I'm definitely going to finish that
and yeah I would make this again. Go figure. All right see you tomorrow.
