Surprising Experience at BRITISH HOSPITAL! This Is So Different

[Music] good morning guys good morning welcome back to another vlog we are outside and we're not wearing masks how weird is this feels so funny so strange also we're in t-shirts and we're in england there's been a bit of a hit how strange is that but look at the sky behind me absolutely beautiful today we have come down 30 seconds and we are on the beach we live right near the coast right near the coast in the uk and here we are this is kind of like the first vlog back in england and we have been here a few days we'll catch up with you guys but we just wanted to come down this morning um that is things have changed right so they didn't want any trash on the beach which is right but they put in these huge look at the size of that anyway we will catch up with you oh there's a coffee van i don't have any money when you've got a coffee i've got damn okay i bought my own coffee but there's already we'll come down again we are coming down for that this place our hometown has changed a lot we want to show you guys a lot of cool stuff that's going on here um but yes today we have our 20 scan yes that's in a few hours i don't think we can film in hospitals here and stuff we'll try we'll do what we can or if not we'll just film afterwards and tell you guys but we will update you we just wanted to come down this morning i mean look at this bring the coffee down onto the beach sun i mean it's not this is one for england but i can't say i'm not i'm not i'm not hot and i'm not sweaty so look here is you need to come back here look at this coffee van behind me that that is what i need to do literally about two minutes away from us we can come down in the morning that is awesome a long flat white it's actually cheaper than arabica that is cheaper than araviga more along this way as well they've got like food trucks there's so much going on here so we're excited to kind of re-explore our hometown um and bring you guys along but hopefully you guys are all doing well nice to check in with you again we spent the last few days catching up with family yeah and doing all that great stuff yeah it's been really really nice hasn't it been back i think two days and we've seen every family member now all that close family member um and then yeah we're gonna start making some progress from some other things we've got going on here but we'll fill you guys in with that later it does look nice and we're really lucky i guarantee in like one or two weeks it's gonna be grace guys but for now we can is it yeah for now we can literally be enjoying this clear blue skies in a since 11 weeks and actually saying that we heard the heartbeat yesterday because we went to george's sister emily and her fiance's mike's house we actually managed to hear the heartbeat there because emily's our midwife [Music] um which was really nice and we haven't actually heard we haven't actually seen the baby since 11 weeks and i'm now just over 20. so it's been a long time and today is an anomaly scan so i think there's um seven or eight different things they check for like bones face liver heart like brain every make sure everything is sort of like developing as it should be um and just see how it's doing basically so it's gonna be really nice george can come in george couldn't come into the hospital in manila and he's never actually seen the baby or like been there for any sort of scan apart from pictures or videos that i've shown him after so the fact that he can come in today is going to be really nice so we're very excited for that and i've also got a vaccination for whooping cough today as well so that'll be very fun apparently it makes your arm go very dead but it's just something that apparently most people get here i didn't know about it but i got a letter and yeah we're just gonna walk up to the hospital's literally five minute walk up the road so we're gonna walk there in a bit and this point today sorry if it's a bit windy it's a little bit windy down here this point today pretty much marks halfway through the pregnancy which is just crazy absolutely flown by um so far so if the rest of it goes as quick as the first bit then we're gonna have a baby with us very soon yeah halfway did you say that yeah crazy isn't it [Music] is [Music] okay so the scan went really well um it was basically an anomaly scan where they checked loads of different organs and things and there was nothing that she saw that looked wrong or looked how it shouldn't be looking um so it all looks really really good really positive we're now just driving along the seafront it was a real um not relief but it yeah kind of definitely a relief yeah oh that's miles away because yeah this is this is the one where you would find out if there was anything particularly wrong so yeah yeah obviously you can't check everything but it checks a lot um and yeah so now we're just driving down to the beach my mom's actually been swimming in the sea so we're going to try and find a parking spot we picked up some meal deals from co-op a meal deal here is like a sandwich and then you pick a snack which could be crisps chocolate or fruit or something like that and a drink and it's three pound fifty so it's a great price um and we love a meal don't we we have this is our first meal deal back um i went for the slightly healthier options of the mildew i've chosen everyone's food and then we're just going to go down meet her and enjoy that that's a man uh space yeah is that space no it's not space very busy today because it's such nice weather um but we'll show you guys the mildew when we get down to the beach [Music] okay so as we said in the car yes everything went well we're not focused so yes as we said in the car everything went well thankfully with that appointment um let's talk about that for a second because that was our first time having a baby appointment in a british hospital and neither of us have been to a british hospital for years and years and years we got so used to some luke's in the philippines we were quite surprised at how quiet the hospital was in comparison instant luke's if you saw the vlogs we'd have to queue up to um fill out a declaration form then go through pass through guards hand them our form and there was always be a queue there'd always be a lot of people in there in this hospital you kind of just walk in there's no declaration there is hand sanitizing stations which you're encouraged to use and you're kind of free to walk around the corridors we had a place we needed to go it was on the third floor i think so we could just walk through go straight up to the third floor and walking around there really weren't many people in the hospital corridors which surprised us a little bit um but it all went well really really friendly nhs staff there we also met some viewers on the way back of the channel who work at worthing hospital so if that was you huge hello to you thanks for saying hi and i think the most surprising part of this and and it's a it's it's a good thing for us is that we obviously walked out at the end without paying a bill which we are not used to at all because obviously of course where we were we had to pay for every appointment every meeting every kind of time we interacted with the hospital there would be a bill at the end but in the uk we have the nhs and there is no bill so yeah that was slightly different for us but overall a good experience just very very happy that the baby's growing nicely and everything is how everything is looking how it should look and we are very very excited we are now starting to plan the gender reveal so i know a lot of you've been waiting for that that is coming very very soon [Music] [Applause] [Music] is [Applause] [Music] that sky was so orange we don't usually get i don't remember getting sunsets like that in the uk so very very happy with that but it is the next day now i'm gonna end off this vlog here we came back it started raining actually so we came back here and we ate noodles and we caught up haven't seen him for nearly two years like everyone else lucy and i's headspace right now is purely focused on family so like we haven't even been doing much on instagram or we haven't been watching youtube or netflix we have literally just been catching up with everybody and it's been so so nice and we're just trying to settle settle back here for the time we're gonna be spending here if you're wondering where we are like whose kitchen is this where are we where are we filming these vlogs this is lucy and i's uk place we haven't you haven't seen this yet in the vlog and we will be making more videos about this place and we are we do have plans to renovate and do it up another apartment to um to make our own for the time that we're here that will be coming on the channel very very soon more apartment stuff feels like we're starting again a little bit but and and everything feels a little bit
