NEWBORN BABY'S FIRST CHIROPRACTIC ADJUSTMENT!
Israel has been having some tummy issues, so we decided to have our chiropractor come and adjust him and Danielle as well. We also wanted to show what has been going on the first week of our lives with 7 kids!
Let the record show, boys' diapers are harder to change
because we both are like, I can't figure it out.
Yeah, like, I don't know what to do with this.
Yeah, because he just like, is struggling to,
I don't want to say reflux,
I feel like that gets so overwritten around,
but for sure, whenever, like he'll nurse,
and then he'll burp a lot, burp up liquid a lot,
doesn't like to be laying on his back,
and then he's, he was struggling to poop,
but I had those Wendy's, have you been there?
Yeah, so we did that, I did that last night
because he was just crying and not happy with anything,
and he pooped a whole lot after that,
passed a bunch of gas, and then again this morning,
I had to use that, so I'm like, something's going on.
I feel like an adjustment will probably help.
You were squished up in there.
Of course, every time I come to see a baby,
they're like perfectly happy,
and people are like, this has not been,
this is not the case.
It has not been this way, okay?
He's great during the day, he's just at night.
When he gets to sleep, he's like, no, no, no.
Those diapers that he did have, were they like,
are they transitioning out of the go-meow?
Yeah, yeah, it's CD now.
Last night, John went to change,
and we didn't even know he pooped,
and he was like, it's, they're stuck to it,
I don't know what to do, I've never had that,
I'm like, well, be gentle.
And they say, my friend, because she has a son,
she was just like, no, it's easier,
you just like, clean everything, you just wipe it all.
I'm like, doesn't seem like the girls let the record show
that boys' diapers are harder to change,
because we both are like, I can't figure it out.
He puts them on the leaks, I'm like, no, you got this.
Yeah, uh-huh.
What's that, plus like, you have the cord there too,
so you're like, trying to navigate around that,
and then navigate, you're like,
I don't know what to do with this.
Like, there's a whole extra obstacle in here.
Yeah, he pooped again, and in a towel,
well, cleaned all that up, and then he peed on me,
and I was like, oh, we are losing,
we are not winning here.
It was funny.
Good times, good times.
Yeah, he's an angel.
Yeah, he's nine-six now.
Okay, so, everything's looking good.
He is down to nine pounds, six ounces,
but this is like, the lowest, usually, that they dip,
and then things start going up around day three,
so we are gonna weigh him again on Friday,
and just make sure that it's going back up,
but I have no worries, because he eats all night long.
Right, Mary?
Other than that, everything's good.
He smiled at me, and he laughed,
John was sitting, he wasn't here,
but he like, was like, big grin,
and then cupped a little lick, and I was like.
I can't, I still can't really lay on my side.
If I lay on my side, it feels like
everything's just collapsing into, like,
yeah, there's not a lot of stability there,
but he was 10 pounds, so.
Especially when I lay on my side, or like, try to roll,
I have to move a certain way.
If I just try to like, it feels like it's like,
pulling in different directions.
Well, it probably is.
There's probably a lot of instability
just within those muscles, and those ligaments.
Have you ever read that book about 40 days,
like, in and around the leg?
Yes, I haven't read that book, but I've just,
I've, it's my kind of thing.
He's like, what is that?
You know, you just take 40 days to.
Isn't that what you normally do?
Yeah.
That's good, that's probably why you were able to go
42 weeks with your seventh baby.
Like, that's a testament to your body,
and what it was capable of.
It was like, the last couple, I mean, the last month,
I couldn't, just physically, it hurt so much,
so I just bedrested it, and then I swept.
I swept just like the kitchen.
I'm sure that's what did it.
Because I, after dinner, I can like, back up to bed,
and then I'm all over.
Well, I'm so happy that it finally happened.
I know.
I know, you're probably feeling like
I'm gonna be pregnant forever.
Yeah.
Oh my gosh, he's so cute.
Hey, hi, baby boy.
I'm super chunky.
He's been sleeping for a couple hours.
Oh, are you hungry?
You little man, it looks like you are.
Can I help you become a little baby boy?
No, that's weird, it's still weird.
I'm trying to figure out the diaper situation,
and that's been fun.
And I can actually adjust him,
like, a lot of it can be done in that.
I'm so shy, I'm so shy.
Well, then go out, if you don't wanna be in here,
or be quiet.
But, why do we need to be quiet?
Because she's working on the baby.
He's like, now can I eat?
So, if you want, I can check you,
if you just wanna roll around,
and just put your head right here.
I think that's good for now.
If you still feel a lot of that instability, though,
definitely come into the office,
so I can actually do, like, some drop work on your sacrum.
Okay.
Even with the relaxing, like, these next couple months,
everything will still be real loosey-goosey,
so we wanna make sure as it's remolding,
it's going back into the right position.
This is Nana's, mine's downstairs.
This is mine.
Open it.
Nice.
Sweet, Jude, it's a wallet.
You gotta put all your credit cards in there.
You got lots to put in there.
You got some dollars?
No, I don't.
Nana is keeping them busy with lots of crafts.
This baby is sleeping so good since that adjustment.
He's up.
I mean it, he, like, nursed really good,
and then he just...
And look, a little wallet.
I made a little pocket.
See, I open them, and then...
That's awesome, bud.
What are you gonna put in there?
Stuff.
No.
Stuff that's tiny.
Gentle, gentle, gentle, gentle, gentle, gentle.
Chiropractor suggested 40 days of just low-key resting,
which I'm here for,
except we're supposed to go camping, so.
That's not 40 days away.
That's less than, more than 40 days away, right?
It's pretty close.
It's right around 40.
Look at this.
Come here, come here.
Bring your hair over here real quick.
This is like literally extreme opposites.
Yeah.
I understand where he came from,
but where'd you come from?
You know what my mom looks like?
She's literally like my mom and my grandpa,
like, outside the family.
My grandpa was German. 100%.
There's none of me in there.
His last name was Hummel.
Like, very, she looks, spitting image.
Spitting image.
You know, there's little Hummel figurines.
Have you ever seen those?
Look it up.
Look it up, like the Hummel stuff.
Like, she looks just like one of them.
What are you doing?
Uh-uh.
Oh, you're gonna go fishing,
sitting there fishing?
All right, you sit on the edge of the bed
and fish that way, please.
Hummel figurines.
She's fishing.
What's up, guys?
I'm taking a few of our kids to go to the store.
Today is Nana's 60th birthday.
She came in town because of our new baby
to help out, and she's been tremendous, super helpful.
After her first night here, the next morning,
I woke up and it was only like eight or nine,
which was already a blessing in itself
to be able to do that.
But she had cleaned the whole, like, loft,
second floor hallway area, vacuumed,
cleaned the first floor.
So it was pretty awesome,
and she had the kids help her do that.
So anyways, all that to say,
it's her birthday, two days, 60 years old.
Sorry if I wasn't supposed to say that, Nana.
We wanna make it a little special if we can.
So I'm taking Maren and Everly and Adelyn and Judea,
and we're gonna go pick up some things
for a little birthday party.
You ready to go?
Mm-hmm.
Let's do it.
All right, let's do it, let's go.
Daddy, we fell from a horse on somebody's car.
It's okay, we're at Walmart.
Right, guys?
So let's go into Walmart and see what they got for us.
Come on, stay right here with me.
I need to go first.
Y'all sit and walk with me.
Yeah, let's go this way.
Up here, let's see.
Brand somebody.
Oh my goodness, who is that?
I would never save your old.
I'm gonna put a...
Your card's out.
And a card.
Hilarious.
Let's find the ones that say grandma.
How about we go to the grandma one?
I'm looking for the grandma one.
All right, we got a card.
Successfully got a card.
It's got a full minute and good.
I would like that one.
All right, let's go ladies, this way.
Of course, the girls think Nana needs a pinata
for her 60th birthday party.
Oh, it's a beautiful.
All right, sit down.
Come on, we're gonna go find some balloons.
All right, we're looking good here.
Look at this, we got some multicolored forks.
We got some party hats, some other stuff.
Oh, those are just birthday cards.
We already got a birthday card.
We don't need to give her that.
All right, I think we're good on this aisle.
Mom said, let's get some flowers
and we're gonna get her some special candy,
her favorite candy.
Maren just saw some bras.
She said, I love boobies.
What'd you say, Maren?
Oh, I was tickling you?
Yeah.
I was trying to.
All right, let's go.
Back to the candy.
We're going to find the candy.
All right, guys, we need to pick out
some flowers for Nana.
Just point to some.
You don't need to get out.
You sit down.
Daddy, these look so pretty.
All right, y'all like those purple roses?
Let's see if we can come and try them.
Hey, y'all, come here, come here.
We got a surprise for Nana.
Hold on, look at me.
Wait, wait, wait.
Stay right there.
Let me see.
All right.
Happy birthday!
Oh, those kids.
I don't recognize them.
What's your name, Mario?
Are you Mario?
Luigi?
That's a little Mario.
Yeah, Luigi.
And then.
Yeah, with the.
Yeah, I didn't even think about that until.
Where did I get that?
That's Mario and Luigi.
Nice.
Oh, that's cute.
I like it.
Yep, little Mario picked them.
Let me see a big smile.
Smile.
I'm a big smile.
That's the best.
Go show Mommy, go show Mommy.
Okay, let's go show Mommy.
Go smile at Mommy.
Okay, yours are on, it's on the table.
I'll get it in one second.
Make a smile.
I'm Dr. Mario.
Smile, Mary.
She does look like Dr. Mario.
Look at that smile.
Chicken.
Who are you?
I'm Mario.
Hello, son.
It's me, Dad.
I know you missed him while he was gone,
so I could do this, you know?
When Mary doesn't want me to help her in the middle of the night.
It's Daddy.
It's fine.
What if I put it on this way?
Now see, baby.
Good.
I made sure it wasn't sticking first.
Wait, wait.
Mary.
What a special day.
Happy birthday.
What a special day.
My mom is 60 today.
Yeah, this is why Mom's sitting down.
Nice.
I thought she'd say, hey, don't say that.
A flourless chocolate tort.
Wow.
Happy birthday to her.
It's real.
Can you say happy birthday to Nana?
Happy birthday.
Oh, my goodness.
It's real.
Say happy birthday.
Happy birthday to you, baby.
Okay, he said it.
Famous last words, right?
Hey, Mary.
What you got?
What is it?
It's your ice cream.
That and that?
You want to give him some of your ice cream and cake?
I don't think, do babies know how to eat cake?
I don't know, you could always try.
Careful, he might eat it.
I want to put it in the floor.
Gotta see how much he weighs.
Okay.
You're gaining some weight back.
Good job, bud.
Sounds like, yeah, a four ounce gain.
And his eyes almost all peeled up.
I don't know what the bruise looks like.
I mean, they all, not all of them,
but a lot of them have stork bites.
