Good morning guys.
Yesterday, we got so into a series we were watching.
What was the name?
What was that series name, Liz?
No, no, no, the other one.
Sweet Tooth.
Everyone's talking about it at the moment.
Sweet Tooth.
It's not really my thing,
because it's fantasy and stuff.
I'm not usually into that,
although I love Harry Potter.
And it was Warner Brothers.
But, funnily enough, we've woken up this morning
and we're actually really craving a smoothie bowl
from Shaka, so we've just ordered it.
You can order online.
And I'm gonna do that,
and then we're gonna carry on this vlog.
So, I'm gonna literally go pick it up right now.
It's ready, I think.
Okay, we've got them.
How does it look for takeout?
Oh, nice.
Still good presentation.
What did you get?
Like a berry one?
Yeah.
And I got the classic banana.
And it's big.
How big is it?
The size of the pot, it's huge.
Actually, it is.
It's like a pint of ice cream.
Wow.
Wow, that's a lot of fruit.
Yum.
Okay, I've set myself up.
A little chair.
And I can enjoy this in the sun.
It is so hot this morning.
But smoothie bowl in the sun,
tropical plant behind me.
Yeah, closest we're gonna get to island vibes.
Although, update,
we had a little conversation with someone yesterday,
and we might be doing another little beach trip soon.
Mm.
Somewhere very special,
somewhere you guys might be able to guess.
Actually, comment below right now
where you think we're talking about.
We've been there before.
And if we do it,
we'll be very excited to go back.
Just fell asleep for like two hours.
We put...
I don't even know what we last vlogged.
We did something today that we couldn't vlog.
So a little bit of time has passed.
As you can see, it's the evening.
And we just went in there to watch a little bit of YouTube.
We're both feeling a little bit exhausted and tired.
Had a little afternoon nap.
And now I'm all delirious, bleary-eyed.
And I only had two coffees today,
and I normally have three or four.
So I think that could be part of the culprit,
but it's nearly dinner time.
And as we said in yesterday's vlog, we ended up-
This is really noisy.
It is a little bit noisy, it doesn't matter.
It's the air fryer.
As we said in yesterday's vlog,
we were gonna cook up some steaks.
We've got some nice steaks in the fridge
that we need to cook.
And we ended up splitting this vlog
into kind of like two parts.
This is kind of part two of the vlog from yesterday,
even though it is the next day anyway,
so it's not really part two.
But these are the-
Well, this is garlic.
These are the steaks that we got.
And look at the price.
280 pesos for two nice steaks.
Australian steaks.
Australian sirloin.
So we're gonna have these.
We're gonna do some-
Well, we're gonna try and do some homemade fries
in the air fryer.
Is that in already?
No.
Oh, right, you're heating it up.
Yeah.
Right.
We got the air fryer free with our juicer.
Sorry, I'm so in the way.
We've only used it a few times,
so we're gonna try and make some fries with it,
because I think that would be nice with the steak.
That's what I need to do.
You guys asked me some questions.
We're gonna do-
Right, Lucy, you can cook.
I'm gonna sit here and answer these questions.
So sorry for the slightly disjointed vlog.
We just got totally thrown out.
I think I was last having breakfast on the balcony.
Really?
With my smoothie bowl.
Then I felt like I'd only had liquids,
because I'd coffee, a smoothie bowl,
and my kind of like protein shake thing that I make.
I don't like.
And then we had to go and do something off camera.
That took quite a few hours.
So we came back and then watched some YouTube,
and then we fell asleep and it was dark.
Has anyone else had a day like that?
If you have, let me know.
So this little section of the vlog is gonna be an update.
It's gonna be us, or me, or maybe Lucy will chime in.
Answering all the things that you guys want to know
about us at this very moment in time.
Did you say homemade breakfast?
Yeah, they're not.
Oh, did we buy them?
Oh yeah, no, we bought freezer frozen.
But they're healthy-ish ones.
They're like, just natural.
Healthy-ish.
They save me chocolate.
Oh, what?
They're like Pringles.
They're like little crisps.
Oh, look at that.
How weird.
Never seen that.
They look like fungus.
Hopefully they're good.
They're from Rustan's,
which is apparently how you pronounce it.
Not Rustan's, as we always say.
Supermarket.
Okay, Lucy, you can help me answer these, okay?
We'll put some background music behind this
to keep it going,
because I don't like it when Q&As get a little bit long.
When is Lucy gonna sign up for Miss Universe Great Britain?
Apparently applications are open.
I don't see it happening.
She doesn't see it happening.
Maybe next year.
When are you gonna cut your hair?
Never.
I've got this far with my hair, you know?
It annoys me,
because I don't think it looks particularly good like this.
I don't think it looks particularly good up,
because the little side bits come out.
It's very annoying to wash.
It's very annoying to live with.
So I don't really know why I'm growing it,
but I feel like I've come too far.
And if I cut it, I don't know.
What was the last book you read?
I'm currently still reading something,
but the last book I read and finished
was Rich Dad, Poor Dad, which I loved.
I don't think every young person should read it
about personal finance and investing
and all that kind of stuff.
When is the move to the condo?
Should be in the next few weeks.
How tall are you?
We've answered that before.
I'm six foot two.
Lucy's five foot eight.
When do you plan to propose to Lucy
and make things really official?
We're not official now.
Tomorrow.
I know.
Does that mean we're not official?
I don't think-
We've been together for eight years.
If we want to talk about the mat,
marriage always comes up in Q and A's.
If we want to go down the rabbit hole,
yeah, of course we're going to get married.
We'd love to get married,
but for us it doesn't make it,
our relationship and our life together
any more official than not being married.
Yeah, we'll do it at some point when we want to
and when we feel like it.
Getting married, we don't need to like
solidify our relationship.
We don't feel like we need to do that,
but yeah, we will get married at some point.
BMW M3 or Porsche 911?
Both.
M3 daily driver, perfect.
911 for the weekends.
How are you these days?
I love when people just ask how we are.
We're doing good, actually.
Well, we are doing good.
We've got a lot of exciting things coming up,
some of which we haven't even mentioned on the blog.
I think I'm the other way around.
I think an M3 is more practical for a weekend.
Oh, you're going back a question, okay.
A 911 is more practical for a daily driver.
Yeah, you can daily drive a 911.
Sorry.
Not that I would know.
Maybe one day I will know.
Any plans on going to Batanes?
Yeah.
I'd love to go again.
I mean, we have been.
If you want to check out the vlogs,
they're still on the channel.
We went a few years ago.
They're insane.
It's probably our favorite place in the Philippines.
Are you thinking of going back to the UK to get vaccinated?
If it turns out that when we go back to the UK,
we're still not vaccinated,
then yes, we'll get vaccinated in the UK,
but we wouldn't go,
we're not planning on going back just to get vaccinated.
I mean, for us there, it would be free.
It would be convenient.
We've already been called for it.
We both had a text message
that the NHS has called us for our vaccine.
So we don't know.
It's not like we're going to go back just to get the vaccine,
but if it ties in with whenever we do get back,
we still don't know when we're going back, but.
Do you want a deep question, Lucy, or not?
Yeah, go for it.
How do you see yourself in 10 years time from now?
So that would be the year 2031.
Oh my God, that's crazy.
I see us having a few kids.
Yeah, family.
Being married.
Being around our family more than we are now,
because I think we would have learned from the pandemic
that we don't like being away from home for that long.
Two years.
Yeah, two years, definitely not.
I think we'll be in the Philippines, 100%.
I think we'll be in the Philippines for a lot of the year.
I think we'll be in England for a lot of the year.
I think we'll be bringing our family over to the Philippines
and other countries.
Hopefully we'll be able to travel around other places.
I think it would just be like a more family oriented version
of what we have now.
Maybe.
With both our own family, like babies,
and our family around us.
A life where we can travel
and let our family experience the Philippines
over the next 10 years.
We would love that.
Hopefully things go well,
like we'll be able to afford bigger apartments
and stuff like that.
We could have a really insane place here
and a really nice place in England.
And we can just flip between the two.
That would be the ideal.
How did you and Lucy get together?
Well, she took one look at me
and I no longer had a choice, basically.
Other way around, mate.
What music are you listening to right now?
Do you know what?
We listen to, well, what music gets in our head
is vlog music.
We've had Cody Francis in our head, man,
because we edit the vlogs.
Found what we're looking for in life.
That one.
Say our current favourite playlist.
Current favourite playlist,
Easy Like a Sunday Morning.
No, All Out 50s.
Oh, All Out 50s is brilliant on Spotify,
but every Sunday morning,
I don't know if we've even vlogged this
because we can't put copyright music,
but every single Sunday morning without fail,
we play the Commodores Easy Like a Sunday Morning
and that sets up our Sunday.
Then we play this Sunday morning playlist on Spotify
and there's some chilled jams on that.
What else do we have?
Are you still going back to Europe?
At some point, obviously, yes.
We now haven't seen our family for way too long
and things have happened in our families
that we've missed out on
and good and bad, happy and sad.
A lot of things have gone on in the last year.
So yeah, we definitely wanna go and see them.
With no budget and travel restrictions,
where in the Philippines
would you bring Lucy on her birthday?
That's a nice question.
I'd love to go to Coron because we haven't been yet
and it's one of the places
that even a lot of just tourists go for like a week
and I'd love to do that.
Are you and Lucy planning on getting a pet
when you move to the new condo?
I don't think so
because we're still gonna be moving around.
We're still, we don't wanna be tied down with a pet
and if we go back to like England for a few months,
what do we do?
And no, I don't think so.
And I don't know what pet we would get.
I wouldn't wanna get a dog in a condo.
If we had like a big garden and a space
and we could walk in a lot, I don't know.
Why are the road lanes in the UK mostly crooked?
What?
Are they?
I didn't know that they are.
Are they?
Maybe they are.
There's a lot of windy roads in England.
Are you and Lucy planning on staying in Philippines
for good?
In terms of always having a place here
and bringing family and spending time
and our future kids be here
and like traveling the Philippines in the future and stuff.
Yeah, a hundred percent.
It doesn't mean to say that we're not gonna spend time
in other places,
but we would love our life to be like set up
in the Philippines and also in the UK.
That's our kind of like goal and dream
to have, like we just said in the last question,
to have a family orientated lifestyle,
but still incorporate travel
and spend a lot of the year here
and some of the year in the UK.
And then other places dotted in between
that we like to travel.
Japan, Bali,
America.
We still got so many places in the world we need to see,
but as like a rule,
yeah, we're not gonna leave the Philippines
and never come back.
That would be very sad.
Oh yeah, I'd hate to do that.
When you and Lucy get married and eventually have kids,
do you plan to settle down in the Philippines?
Say kind of the same question.
I feel like we've kind of settled down right now.
This is the most settled down we've ever been.
And because we're in quarantine
and I don't, I feel like we'll settle up.
What's the opposite?
I think we'll settle out.
I don't think, I think we'll unsettle
as soon as travel opens up.
We're not settlers.
Jordan and I have never lived in a place
for longer than two years.
No, maybe like in 10 years.
Our first apartment we had together was two years.
We traveled for one year.
We had this place for two years
and then we're moving into a new condo.
So we get bored easily.
Not bored.
Not bored, but we like to move.
We like having exciting changes.
I don't want to settle down now
and have the same daily routine,
live in the same place and never move around,
even if we have kids and get married.
In 10 years, 10, 15 years,
if like I would be approaching 40.
Oh my goodness.
I'm 28 now, Lucy's 24.
So ask us in 10 years,
we might feel differently about settling down.
But right now we're not really thinking about that.
How are you able to maintain closeness with Mike and Nelly
and not steal each other's content?
We see comments sometimes,
like if we go to the same restaurant or something
and we vlog, it's funny to us because we never see...
Okay, so we vlog our lives.
We vloggers, we vlog our lives.
If we go, it's when we go to like the same restaurant
or something that one of us has gone to before the other.
And then we vlog there and we film there.
Which happens?
Some people say you're stealing content.
How is that stealing content?
I don't, like if you,
if your friend goes to a bar or a restaurant
and puts it on their Instagram story
and you message him like,
oh my God, that looks so cool.
Where is that?
And then you go the next week
and put and do an Instagram story and you're there.
That's not stealing your friend's content.
You've just found a cool place
and you want to go to it as well.
And we don't go to places to film vlogs.
We just, so when we went to Shaka the other day,
we didn't go there for the vlog.
We just went there because it's a cool place
and we wanted to see it.
And we happened to be vlogging the day.
I think the key is that it's about the content, isn't it?
Our lives is content because we film every day.
It's weird.
But we don't say, right,
let's try this new restaurant out for the vlog.
We want to try it out and we happen to be vlogging.
So it's like you said,
if your friend went somewhere and you went there as well,
just because your friend doesn't publish it
as a vlogger online, it's the same thing.
Yeah, people have said it though.
Especially when we were buying condos
at the same kind of time,
we bought a condo and then they were also looking
at the same time and people said,
oh, you're copying, copying.
It's not copying.
We don't do everything for YouTube.
It was the right time for both of us
to be buying our own place.
I don't know, it just happened naturally.
And I can't, there's a few other examples
where people say stealing and copying content, but.
Let's just make online a happy.
How can you steal a vlog?
Let's make online a happy place.
Yeah, positivity, guys.
Let's keep positive comments.
Let's not be bashers.
Let's be kind people.
Yeah.
Treat others how you'd want to be treated,
how you'd want your friends and family to be treated.
And don't let, if you do have bashers and haters,
don't let it get to you because have sympathy for them
because they're the ones leaving mean comments.
Oh, bashers and haters are the funniest people
because they watch all the content
and they actually help you in the long run.
Anyway, are you feeling burned out?
Right now, no, actually.
We've definitely experienced burnout in the past,
but no, we're having a good time right now.
We're doing what we want to do.
We're saying yes to the things we want to say yes to.
We're not being afraid to say no
to things that we don't particularly want to do.
We're choosing who and when and what to do with our time.
And we're feeling good about that.
Okay, final question.
What does Bob's your uncle mean?
That is a classic British phrase
and I don't really know what it means,
but you use it to like sum something up.
No, it's not summing up.
I think it's more like, sorry, okay, stop.
You use it to make something sound simple.
No, no, it's like, yeah, it's like, okay,
so all you have to do to make these fries,
you just put them into the air fryer,
put it on for 10 minutes,
leave it at 40 degrees and Bob's your uncle
because it's finished.
It's like, and that's the end.
Yeah, and it's like, and it's as easy as that.
Did you hear what I said?
40 degrees, they're not going to cook in 40 degrees.
It's like, the meaning is, and it's as easy as that.
Simple as that.
If I said, all I've got to do now is load these clips,
edit the vlog, upload it, Bob's your uncle.
The vlog's live.
Bob's your uncle.
Yeah, good question.
I don't know what, it doesn't make any sense, actually.
There's a lot of British phrases we don't understand.
I think because Bob is a very,
do you know what I think it is?
I think because Bob's like quite a common name.
Actually, I don't know where I'm going with that.
Let's flip to the steaks.
So Lucy has used some butter,
the tolau, and some garlic,
and the steaks are cooking up.
Little bit of broccoli with it.
Potatoes in there.
Bob's your uncle.
And Bob's your uncle.
Okay, here is the finished product.
These platters look quite good,
and that steak looks amazing.
A little bit intriguing, don't they?
Yeah, Lucy said they look a little bit intriguing.
Let's try one, actually.
They're kind of like, mm, they are good.
So we are going to tuck into our dinner now.
End off this vlog here.
Hope you guys enjoyed the vlog today.
Am I going to be in focus?
There we are.
Thanks so much for watching.
Thanks for spending a day with us.
Appreciate you guys, especially,
we saw all the comments on the vlog the other day
that said, all of you who watched to the end of the vlog,
so if you're still here, you're very special to us.
Huge shout out to you guys.
Appreciate you watching, and we'll see you in the next one.
Oh, what are we watching on Netflix?
Oh, we're actually watching Zoella's vlogs at the moment,
because we finished Sweet Tooth,
and that is it for Netflix recommendations at the moment.
If you've got any more, leave them in the comments.
See you in the next vlog.
