There is a sequence of small S's
o see the exit of the
turns that's what will allow you to ease up a bit on the brakes
and not slide through the turn
And there we had our first jumps
It's too beautiful Look at
this view of the two Alps You
can really see the whole resort
You almost missed the slope
Hello everyone this is
Damien from LAPS Hello Maxime how
are you man I'm good and I hope you are too
We're at the Bike Park in Les
Deux Alpes in Isère exactly at the
top of Vallée Blanche and we're back for our first video of 2022
We are going to set off together on a slightly different concept
because we noticed that you are increasingly many people following us
and among you there are certainly a good number who are beginners or
who don't dare come because they think it's too difficul
Because of everything you've already seen which is much more extreme
So compared to that today it will be on a green track
and on this green track little by little we will show you
de-traumatize you that with lots of little tips you can come
And you can go mountain biking
Exactly so we'll go on the Vallée Blanche trail
which is just behind us
We'll get a bit technical while
we're driving find the track
see that it's not that hard and then we'll go discover it
Then it's cool because
it's beautiful Go let's go
Let's go we're off
We're starting on this green track the summit of Vallée Blanche
the Vallée Blanche track
We start with an incredible landscape on this 4x4 trail
downhill flat section too easy to get complacent
You don't even really need to pedal
with the two Alps to my right in
a small background view we also have the entire
plateau in Paris right in front of me
a little bit over there
and the big peak that is in the clouds
is the peak of Alpe d'Huez the neighboring resort
with the glacier at 3330 meters altitude
On the Chambon dam as well which is just below The view is really
great on this part of the trail Max
are you going to do a little demo
We'll talk a bit about the basic position on a
mountain bike so it's like
this feet flat pedal flat
both at the same level heels down
press lightly on the arms
a finger on each brake as I am doing right now
There's no need to put more
than one finger on each brake that's
enough to brake and there you are in the position ready to start
We attack in the first corners
with a view that is just crazy
A small thing for driving on a
4x4 trail that you don't always
pay attention to is to look far
ahead to see the exit of the turns
This is what will allow you to ease
up on the brakes a bit and not slide through the turn
So there's still a very gentle slope the Shep was really cool
for that they made the effort
to make a trail that comes to be
ruly very little on the slope
Brake at the beginning of
the turn and try
to release during the turn to avoid braking during the turn
There it is the first turn section completed
On the right side because on the left it's the blue one
the jumps are a little big
And here we have our first jumps
For jumps we try to make small impulses we don't let ourselves be
done to it's up to us to
make the bike jump not the other way around
It avoids imbalances
Here I push on my feet and up
Yes the manual And
there we go up slightly and we're going
to make a short
stop to introduce
you to the maneuvering area
So this is perfect for warming up a bit and learning
2-3 little tips and there you go you 'll
be able to apply a bit of it
The basic position the small turn
the step down that allows you to approach
the first slopes and then you go back up aga
For the rest of the Vallée Blanche hike let's go now that we know how to do it all
Look at this crazy view
It's a slight climb a gentle slope we can take the rock but
we can also go around we
don't have to take the modules
First crossing
There is a sequence of small S's
Great for relaxing on the bike and
letting the bike live between your legs
Crap
Short walk through the meadow
On this type of trail and
for bike park use
there are several bikes available but
there isn't a specific one
What I mean is that you can
easily come with one of your
slightly suspended bikes to do the green track
that's already good
The ideal is to find a small rental bike that is available
at a station somewhat like how
we do it in winter with skis
It's that you can
have enduro bikes like the one I
have right now It's a bike with not too big forks
It is quite light and pedals well
There is also the downhill bike
which is a much larger bike with more suspension travel
so which better absorbs shocks on large compressions
And you don't have
to choose between the two bikes both work very well the only thing is that it
has to be the right size for you
But that's something you have to see for yourself at the stores
It's too beautiful There
is the entire
Bourdoisans valley below us which is opening up before us
He took the turn
Turn at the edge of the abyss hyper style
And there we are really on a
real trail It is open to everyone
You can easily come here
with friends with your
girlfriend with the whole family even the kids
Everything is possible
It's a very accessible trail
It's way cool
And there we switch sides we are finishing
the circuit around the Vallée Blanche ridge
Sorry I'm a bit out of breath And you can see it
very clearly We have the entire
bike park right in front of us
On the bike park of Deux Alpes
you can also find the video on
YouTube of the 666 trail which is
a red trail if you're interested
To see a slightly more challenging trail
And there Maxime shows us
how to do a pump track
which means pushing when you go over the mounds
On the trails you can also stop when you need to on the wide
sections like this one there is really space
to move aside you just step to the side
We let the others pass we
rest and then we go again
Look at this view of the Deux Alpes you can really see the entire resort it's really amazing
And across from it there are also other green trails it's
not the only one of course it's one of the green trails in Les Deux Alpes
And when the level is a bit higher but you're not 100%
sure about going on a
blue you can also have fun
like Maxime does to play a little more
with the sides the outside of the trac
Like that climb a bit up the slopes jump a bit further
on the jumps
a new parking lot
small bumps to cushion
And there it's really a
downhill bike because there's
enough slope that you don't
need to pedal but it's enoug
"flat between quotation marks so you don't need to
brake" "so it's really pleasant to just roll over it"
And this makes
things much simpler
And there we go into a new turning area after this
straight section where you could play with the
speed
Maxime is making openings
so we go back to our starting position eyes up
braking on entry we let
go we put it in a little b
A corner on the bike so it flows smoothly
You can go full speed here
it goes up ahead
you get into the plane's position
He almost went off the trac
You almost missed the trail
So we've already done a good part of the descent
Upon arriving at a small restaura
the middle of daisies
i don't know if they're daisies
but they're white flowers for sure
I almost fell dow
Don't forget to pedal 2-3 times every now
and then because
constantly going downhill
We are in a fairly static position
it quickly starts to hurt the
legs moving the legs is really good
it allows the muscles to recover
It's too beautiful I think we're going to
get a little storm it's starting to get dark
A short 4x4 road crossing take a quick look anyway even though we're on a bike park
It can happen that the station people come up to do an interview
or things like that
there a bit of a bigger jump
and a bit smaller there are two choices
same optional you don't
have to go there
that one you can even just roll it up
e bridge
Small information about wooden bridges
be careful if you come one day
where there is none left it can be slippery
Avoid braking on the planks
brake before and after but not on
them this will prevent you from losing traction on the planks
After us of course we ride a bit faster than a beginner
because we know how to ride a
bike so the speed is a bit faster
What you are about to do is normal
you you'll just need a few drops to get it inside
and then it will run on its ow
And there we are almost at the bottom
we start to see a bit
the cable car
end of the trac
You arrived you continued
to wash the bike at least
you leave the bike
clean and that's for the discovery
of this green trail in the Two Alps
I hope you enjoyed it
let us know in the comments your bike level
