Always good to start a vlog with a flashing red battery. It's going to be a short one today, guys.
Good morning. Welcome to the vlog, everyone. Good afternoon.
It's four o'clock. Is it? It's not the morning. Is it really four o'clock?
It's twenty to ECQ. Only a few hours left.
Yeah, we're having our final supper here. I've got a nice big salad.
Final supper. We're making the most.
Thank you.
So we've just met up with Mike and Lily and we're enjoying some lunch.
And I guess we're saying our goodbyes for a couple of weeks because we won't be seeing them for a little bit again because we've just gone into ECQ.
So, yeah, which is a version of lockdown where essential shops are open.
We can do exercise, a little bit of exercise. Yeah.
But no shopping malls, no in dining for restaurants, no outside dining, no meeting up with friends.
So it came in. It's coming in tomorrow. It's going to be a week unless it gets extended.
Yeah, that's where we are. So we hope you guys are keeping safe.
We're just going to enjoy this food. Lamb meatballs. Yeah, very nice.
I haven't had these before. Very nice. And a nice big salad.
And what's that? Lamb platter. Very nice.
And a big bowl of nothing. Enjoy. Lamb bowl. Nice.
Nice. That looks delicious. What's that? I don't know. I don't remember that.
Enjoy. Oh, that is, that's eggplant. Roasted eggplant.
What's, how do you call it? Babaganoush. Babaganoush.
Babaganoush. Bless you. Yes.
We just noticed lots of people getting ready. We just noticed a lot of people getting ready for working from home with Dell PCs.
Always remember just to... Oh my God. Thanks Mike.
Stay safe guys. See you soon. Bye.
Might be a while till we see them guys again. Yeah. Oh, it's so sad.
But guys, if you're in a similar situation to us, comment below what's the situation right now for you.
We're going into another little lockdown, but we're going to keep vlogging.
We're going to, if you're in lockdown as well, we'll try and bring you a little bit of entertainment on a daily basis with these vlogs.
We'll switch back to old school lockdown vlogs, I guess.
Yeah. I'm obviously thinking of everyone whose like jobs have been affected again and the restaurants closing and there's so many different things you don't think of when things like this happen.
So obviously very aware that this isn't good for a lot of people and we feel for you guys and hopefully this will not go on for too much longer.
But anyway, we're going to head back home. It's not permanent. It's not forever. No. Keep going.
Good evening guys. It's now dinner time. We last left you at lunchtime.
We actually went into a Benson or a Benson. I'm not sure how you say it.
I would say a Benson, but I don't know if that's my British being like Ben and son, a Benson.
Picked up a candle. They had a little sale on, on the Voluspa candles and they smell incredible.
So I picked up one of them. 20% off. So pretty good.
Kind of expensive for a candle, but it really fills the room. So I feel like it's worth it.
But if any of you guys have any candle suggestions, we want the new place smelling incredible.
I know Bath and Body Works are meant to be good, but I've never tried a Bath and Body Works candle.
And I think there's some resellers in the Philippines that get it over from the US, so I might check that out.
I know Yankee Candle's good, but let me know if there's any more you guys can recommend.
Let me try and put you down here. Does that work?
Let me show you my hair actually quickly. I did a little plait today.
I don't know if any of you noticed it earlier on in the vlog, I took a plait from inside my head here,
plaited my hair all around the edge and then tucked it in and then put it in a little bun behind.
It's quite nice, bit different. Never done it to my hair before. Quite like it.
But we really are getting so excited about this new condo.
And I think we're going to use the time in ECQ in the lockdown.
I don't even know if we're allowed out to exercise or not, so I need to check on that.
But we're going to use the time in the ECQ to like really sort out condo stuff
and make a list of the order we need to do things in and really try and figure some stuff out.
But I'm so excited. I kind of forgot how much I love this kind of stuff.
And so I'm just putting some pasta on.
Oh yeah, this is a company called Ruby's Pantry.
Oh no, sorry, The Ruby Pantry, not Ruby's Pantry.
I guess it is Ruby's Pantry, but it's called The Ruby Pantry.
And it's all these different types of pasta.
And they have like keto pasta, semolina pasta like this one, loads of different types of different flavours in.
I really do prefer this kind of pasta to normal white pasta.
I feel less bloated after. It's definitely healthier for you.
And it's got a slightly different flavour.
So this one's made of semolina, vegetables, olive oil and pink Himalayan salt.
So really simple and just all natural ingredients.
And it's a real favourite of ours at the moment.
It doesn't taste quite as good as like normal pasta does, really, if I'm being perfectly honest.
But it's just so much better for you.
And it's a slightly different flavour.
It's kind of unusual.
So if you want like the classic pasta, what I'm saying is don't expect it to taste like normal pasta.
It doesn't. It's got a very different taste, but it's nice.
It's different. And it's just what we've been using a lot recently.
So anyway, yeah, I just kind of forgot how much I enjoy renovating and interior design.
I remember with our first place when we moved in together in England back in 2015 or 2016.
And we were just so excited.
We went to Ikea, we filled up the car.
We really decorated it exactly in the style we loved at the time.
It was like whites and greys and stuff.
I know that was very in fashion before.
And we really, really loved how that all looked.
But now our tastes have changed completely.
And we're kind of back to the drawing board and we're thinking of all these ideas.
And I just really love it.
It's constantly on my mind, like whatever we're doing, wherever we are, I'm like, what can we get for the condo?
And it's just exciting.
And it's something I really enjoy.
So the pasta's whirling over.
So, yeah, excited for that.
We'll be giving you guys as many updates as we can on the channel.
Let us know if you're enjoying the condo content as well.
Because, obviously, we just film what happens in our lives.
And right now we're moving.
So a lot of the content is going to be based around that at the moment.
Yeah, we were kind of surprised that we went back into ECQ, to be honest.
It wasn't expected.
I know that cases have been getting quite bad here recently.
And we obviously want to keep as safe as possible.
So, as always, we just stick to the rules.
We just follow.
We do what we're told.
And we hope you guys are keeping safe.
Oh, another thing for the new place.
I want to have flowers outside as well as plants and stuff.
I want to have a big cactus, firstly.
Like a really tall cactus, as big as me.
And, like, this thick.
I have a really nice big cactus, I think.
Cacti, I should say.
It's a singular.
I'd like a cacti.
And then also I want some, like, rose bushes or some different flowers.
Because I think the outdoor look of it, with that new coffee table and stalls, it feels very European.
And I feel like plants will look lovely.
But I also think, I know flowers are plants.
You know what I mean?
Like green leafed plants.
I also want some flowers that are, like, colourful.
Like red or yellow or orange or purple or pink or white.
And, like, that just give a pop of colour out there.
Because at the moment the walls out there are, like, this funny peachy colour.
Obviously we can't change them because it's the outside of the building.
But we want to just incorporate some other colours out there as well.
And make it, like, a really fun place to be.
There's a nice breeze out there.
So we'll be enjoying our evenings there, definitely.
But can I go live on the vlog?
Something that Nellie inspired us to do recently is make some, like, cold pressed tea.
Oh, fun fact.
I also credited Nellie for that idea.
But then Mike replied to my story.
Oh no, is it Mike?
That's my idea.
Oh.
I'm not getting involved.
I'm not being funny.
Nellie did offer it to us, not Mike.
So, we're joking.
Fine, Mike.
Thank you, Mike, for this idea.
I'm giving you full credit.
This is a teabag.
It's a wild raspberry hibiscus teabag.
We also tried it with, like, a chamomile tea and a green tea.
And you just put a teabag.
There's only one teabag because it's a very intense flavour.
It's a bit much having two.
But for the chamomile I did two teabags and it was perfect.
With some water.
Chuck it in the fridge overnight or, like, for a day or whatever.
And it's just such a nice drink.
There's no sugar in it.
So it's all good for you.
There's loads of good things in the tea anyway.
Like antioxidants.
It depends on what you get, basically.
But green tea alone has a ton of benefits, health benefits.
So it's a way to get that in.
But it's also, like, a nice refreshing cold drink.
And it feels like you're having almost, like, a can of something.
Or, like, something fruity.
And it's a bit different.
So that's been something we've been doing a lot recently.
And something else that's less healthy.
From the Korean store near us.
Demisoda.
It's like a fizzy apple Korean drink.
Absolutely addicted.
Love them.
Now I'm in the fridge.
What else?
Eating a lot of Pomelo recently.
Big fan of that.
What else?
The Kewpie Classic.
Big fan of that.
And that's your lot.
That's all the interesting stuff in our fridge right now.
Got a Nando's sauce in there as well.
Found that in Ruston's.
Paid a fortune for it.
But it was worth it.
And what else have we got?
Is this what the quarantine vlog's come to already?
It's not even quarantine yet.
And I'm already doing a fridge tour.
It's all right.
People are interested sometimes.
Gyozas.
Edamame beans.
Ice cream.
But I think the pasta's boiled.
So let me...
Something I need to invest in the new place.
A colander.
This sieve is the worst thing to clean in the world.
A colander would be way easier.
OK, we've got a little pesto pasta for dinner.
Going to put on some Netflix on the TV.
We just started watching When They See Us.
And it's the most frustrating programme I've ever watched.
You're literally watching it and you're like,
how is this happening?
I don't know if it's on a true story or not.
But it's very frustrating to watch.
Very eye-opening.
I would recommend it.
But it's not happy and fun to watch.
It's more like...
You get really into the story and the characters.
Yeah.
Anyway, we're going to eat now.
And that is all that we filmed last night.
We watched Netflix.
And we're actually still watching that series now.
And we're enjoying it.
No, we're not.
We finished it.
We started a new one.
We started another one.
But you guys are going to have to come back tomorrow
for the vlog that we're filming today.
I feel like we're going to end up filming daily vlogs this whole week.
That's how it feels so far
for this ECQ quarantine lockdown that we're in right now.
So if you guys want that, please leave a thumbs up.
We're going to leave off this vlog
and you'll see what happens in the next one tomorrow.
Trust me, it's very, very exciting.
Very exciting.
As always...
It's so funny, isn't it?
So I hope you enjoyed this one.
If you did, please give it a thumbs up.
Subscribe to the channel
so you can see all the rest of our quarantine vlogs
that are coming up this week.
If you haven't hit the bell button,
super important on YouTube these days,
if you hit the bell button,
it tells YouTube that you like our channel,
it'll recommend it to more people,
we can grow bigger,
we can do all these cool things.
So please hit that bell button.
We would really, really appreciate that.
But until the next one tomorrow,
we'll see you then.
I always get that wrong.
It makes no sense.
But we will...
But we'll see you in the next one tomorrow.
But until then,
goodbye.
No, that doesn't make sense.
Doesn't make sense either.
I don't know.
I might just stop outroing videos.
Anyway guys, we'll see you soon.
Bye.
