BEST DAY WE'VE EVER HAD IN MANILA! (Manila Bay Sunset Cruise)

All right guys, it is twenty past four in the afternoon. Mike's birthday. Mike from Making It Happen. It's his birthday. Happy birthday, Mike. We're about to go and see him. But guys, there is a surprise going on. He is unaware of what is about to happen this evening. So we pick up the camera, bring you guys along. Lucy's getting some stuff ready. I mean, personally, we are bringing, what are we bringing? We're bringing a little bottle of wine. And oh, these are handy. We got these with a Shake Shack lunch. Plastic glasses. Because of where we're going, we need plastic glasses. We do need to hop in the car and get going. Because basically, this afternoon or this evening, Nellie's idea, she has booked a boat, a private boat for the four of us to go out around Manila Bay for sunset. We're going to have some wine on the boat, on the ocean. Surprise Mike for his birthday. It's going to be awesome. It's going to be a lot of fun. Nellie literally messaged a few hours ago. We were like, yeah, let's do it. Lucy and I will pay for half as like some of his present. We're going to book this boat and surprise Mike. Very, very exciting. What a nice way to spend the evening. Luckily, it's a good weather. Let's do a quick weather check. Yes, look at this. I think this is going to be a really nice sunset based on these blue skies. Are you ready? He's not here yet. In fact, he's not going to be here at all. We're going to them. So really, we don't need to whisper yet. But it's just fun to whisper anyway. No tape measure today. Imagine if it was in my pocket. All right, we just made it down to Manila Bay, and we've never been here before. There's like a little car park at the Bay Terminal. We're at like a dock, a dock, right? A harbour. A harbour. We're at the harbour. Traffic was fine actually. Mike and Nellie are very late. It's fine. Yeah, I think they're going to be a bit tight for the booking time. But I think they're going to be here five minutes before the boat's booked out. So fingers crossed. It's efficient. I just hope there's not like a whole briefing session before for like an hour. I doubt it. I doubt it. Yeah, but luckily it's been really bad weather today, but somehow it's all clear. There's blue skies and I think there's actually going to be a bit of a sunset tonight. So unexpected. And it'll be fun to do this. I've never been on the water at Manila Bay. I've only ever walked on the boulevard or we've been to that restaurant at the end where we've had dinner and watched sunset. We've never actually watched sunset on a boat. So it's very exciting. We haven't watched a Manila sunset for a long time. Yeah, they're really good. The Manila Bay sunset actually. Yeah, we don't have a view of sunset. I think we filmed it in several vlogs. Well, maybe only one or two actually. Manila Bay sunset is really really nice. Yeah, if you get a clear sky like I'm hoping it'll be tonight. Well, I think there's a few clouds which actually make it better. Yeah, it's like super golden all the way along. Yeah, it's really really stunning place to watch sunset. So we're always up for a good sunset. Wow, look at this. This is amazing. The water is so still. That is such a nice view actually. How nice is that? I need the sunglasses on. It's so bright. I'm excited for this now. This view is so nice. All different boats here. Some skyrise, high-rise skyscrapers. This is our boat. It might be actually. I don't even know what boat we have, but super nice view here for sunset. Perfect time of day. Hopefully, they'll be here soon. We're actually really lucky with the weather. Yeah, so lucky. Cloudy earlier, but all the clouds have cleared. Yeah, blue sky. And we've even put the red carpet out for Mike tonight. Yes, we have indeed. Does he know we're coming? I hope so. So there's actually a load of boats here. We've driven past here so many times and always seen the boats. We didn't know you could charter them for an evening sunset cruise. So that's what we're doing this evening. There's some huge boats here, but we've gone for like a smaller speedboat style boat this evening. Wow. This is nice. Yeah, it's really nice though. This is awesome. Very cool. Wow, I didn't expect this when I woke up today. This is awesome. So was this your idea, Nelly? Yeah. Oh, thank you so much. It was a very spontaneous idea since we didn't have the chance to leave Manila due to new restrictions, but I think this is pretty good for a birthday, right? And we're so lucky with the weather. I looked for something to do last minute for his birthday because we are very restricted at the moment. Yeah. This is pretty amazing. This is perfect. It was a little bit tricky to find the, you know, something smaller that fits the budget. Yeah. But I'm super happy with this. So nice. That's really nice. And it's even more fun that it's a small speedboat because you get to go fast. That was fast, just that. You can see George's hair starting to come out. Yeah. The party is starting. And Mike, do you feel one year older? Or how are you feeling? No, more like five years older. Oh, no. That's 2020. And it's true. The sunset's almost happening. Almost down. The birds are following us along, chasing the boat. So nice. And we're now at Mall of Asia almost. Where is it? Over here. Yeah, you can see it. So we had a little tour of Manila tonight. Where is it? There it is. Oh, Mall of Asia. I thought you were saying Mall Ball. That's far. I didn't tuck my swimming trousers. Trousers? Do you wear trousers underwater? Not like swimming trousers.
