GIVING AN AUSTRALIAN AN UNFORGETTABLE AMERICAN EXPERIENCE!
Our friend Belinda is in town visiting the States for her very first time and so we wanted to make sure she had some American experiences that she doesn't get back home in Sydney. We hope today is something that she remembers forever!
Are you excited about this, Belinda?
I am. It's a very American experience.
Starting off to a bad start, there are bees all over.
Okay, we gotta get out of here. We're gonna get stung by bees.
You guys, this is a super exciting day.
Today, we get to bring our Australian friend somewhere she has never been to do something she has never done
because they don't do what we're about to do in Australia.
So come along on this American adventure. Watch it all unfold.
Starting off to a bad start, there are bees all over.
Do you see all the bees? Come this way.
Okay, Belinda, are you excited?
I didn't tell them what we were doing, just that you've never done this before.
I'm stuck.
She's got a new friend. Everleigh has taken to Belinda.
We've got Graham with us.
Okay, so we kept our big three out of school today to do this special adventure.
We've got the whole crew. Six kids, one grandma, one Australian, and me and John.
And it's gonna be really fantastic.
Are you excited about this, Belinda?
I am. It's a very American experience.
Oh, yes.
Today, we're taking Belinda on her very first trip to a pumpkin patch where she's gonna pick out her very first pumpkin.
This is called a country store now, Belinda.
So, Belinda was just saying that they obviously have the season of fall, or they call it autumn, but they don't decorate for it.
Not really, no.
Oh, my goodness. We decorate for everything.
We do.
We'll make a wreath out of leaves, and we will hang it on our doors.
Miss Belinda and Dad, I'm a wreath.
Whoa, there's a bee inside your hat.
Really?
Now it's on top of your hat. Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
Oops, that's on the baby.
That's on the baby.
Okay, we gotta get out of here. We're gonna get stung by bees.
That's why they have honey here.
This is why all the bees are here.
Honey.
I'm really excited about this, guys.
Oh, yeah, he's excited, too.
He's not real.
Yeah, he is.
Welcome to the most fun thing to do when you live in a very rural area.
True.
Can we do the maze?
Sure.
Where are you going?
Addy, you're going the wrong way.
Follow Daddy.
You did it. Belinda made it.
She and I have changed.
She went, I'm lost.
A turkey.
A what?
A turkey.
A what?
A turkey.
That's not a turkey. That's a hay.
Addy, look at that.
That's a rooster.
There's a turkey right there.
Where?
Right there.
Where?
That's a turkey.
What do you think so far, Belinda?
I think it's pretty cool.
She thinks it's pretty cool.
Whoa, we almost lost you.
There's a lot of bees around you, Judy.
Ready?
Yay, you did it.
Alright, it's time for a train ride.
They don't have trains in Australia, do they, Belinda?
No.
Didn't think so.
See the train?
No.
She said no.
Come on, you want to ride the train?
Yes, I do.
Is this your first train ride?
Yeah, your first train ride.
Belinda and all the kids are getting excited about the pumpkin patch.
Yep, there's the box of pumpkins there that they get shipped in.
So they're shipping the pumpkins to make a pumpkin patch.
It's slightly embarrassing that we brought you to a pumpkin patch that's not even authentic.
Sorry about that.
Too slow for you?
As you can see, this is a very exciting ride.
How is it going so far?
How's your experience?
Is it everything you dreamed it would be?
It's everything I dreamed of.
No, it's really cool.
It's just what I thought it would be.
Do they have anything comparable to this in this room?
Probably, but...
Not where I am.
Yeah, it's...
Not where you are.
A bit more like, hey.
Not where I am, because I'm in the city.
Basically, we do things a little bit more...
OTT.
No.
Yeah, a little OTT.
Eccentric.
Belinda and I met a little over two years ago.
Yeah.
Well, she's watched our videos, and then when I was talking about oils,
and she messaged me and was like, I want to get oils.
And so, thus our friendship was born.
So, she leads all of my Australian girls.
Anyone who signs up for Young Living With Me in Australia, I place in Belinda's team.
And so, she kind of takes care of them, and she's an amazing leader.
And so, you were just like...
You are, you are.
She takes good care of everyone, you guys.
And so, she was like, she told me she was going to come to America,
and I was like, that would be amazing.
But in my head, it was like, I don't know.
Like, not that I didn't think you would.
I just wasn't anticipating, you know, the timeline.
And then you were like, I'm booking flights.
I was like, oh my gosh.
Because a few times I've been going to do it, and then the money hasn't been there.
And then Ken said, do you want to go for your birthday?
And I was like, sure.
So, here she is.
And it's just like a full circle moment, I feel like.
Because it was really right when I first started talking about Young Living.
So, like, you've been there since the beginning.
And just to have her here, and meeting us, and like, I don't know.
It's just so cool, you guys.
It's cool.
Like, the internet is a cool place where you can find community,
and then you can meet in real life.
And it's like, it's so wonderful.
Okay, Jude is chasing a chicken, and now I have to chase a chicken.
Chicken!
What were you doing?
Hugging!
No, not how are you doing.
What were you doing?
Were you chasing that chicken?
Yeah.
Why?
What? The chicken.
Are you having fun?
Yeah.
What do you think of Miss Belinda's accent?
Do you like the way she talks?
Yeah.
Say, I'm from Australia.
I'm from Australia.
Daddy!
Yeah?
Daddy, put me on this.
Put me on this.
Nice.
Time for a hayride.
I want to see you!
What?
Stronger.
Going to pick your first pumpkin, Belinda.
I'm so excited.
All right, there we go.
There goes Belinda on her first pumpkin pack.
That one is huge.
Tyler, that one's lumpy.
All right, Belinda, can you find the perfect pumpkin?
I'm going to go and find the best pumpkin.
The best pumpkin.
This is a fresh pumpkin.
I got you a pumpkin!
Wow, fresh from the box.
Erin, this is your first time picking a pumpkin too.
What do you think?
Is that a good one?
How's it going, Judy?
What?
I'm picking them up to see if it's heavy.
And if it gets too floppy.
And if it's too floppy.
And if it has a crack.
She's really specific about the kind of pumpkin she wants.
I think she's going to find the perfect one, though, with that kind of requirement.
Look at this one.
What happened?
Oh, no.
What happened, she said.
She said, what happened?
It's a ring.
Here, right here.
Nice.
Good job.
And Daniel just left her.
You know you just left your baby?
Over here.
There's yours.
Is that the one you're taking?
That's a good one.
You don't eat it.
Why are you tasting it?
Stop.
For Mary.
Mary.
She likes it.
Look at her face.
Is that your pumpkin?
Nice.
That's a good one.
Yeah, it's cute.
Oh, that's a good start right there.
That's going to change your autumns for the rest of your life.
It will.
Autumn will never be the same.
It'll never be the same.
Are you having a hard time picking one?
There's two that are pretty perfect.
But it's just, which one do you like more?
What about a yellowish one?
I'll take yellow.
She does not like to be positioned.
I just told Belinda, I'm sending the reinforcements.
I'm going to have to help her.
But I have to make her think that it's her idea and her choice.
I'm pretty sure this one is perfect.
Oh, man.
That one actually is really nice.
It actually is really perfect.
Look, it's like perfectly round.
Get that one for me if she doesn't take it, because that is the nicest pumpkin I ever did see.
It really is.
Look at it.
It's like perfectly round.
Just like a picture.
Even like the lines in it are like perfectly...
It has to go that.
Yeah, that's just from sitting on the ground.
That's just dirt.
You can wash it off.
All right, Addy, we're going.
All our people are already back on the wagon.
What?
All the people are not that old, did you see?
Yeah, they're ready to go.
They're waiting for us.
Elena, tell me what you got.
A round pumpkin.
Is it the perfect pumpkin?
It really is pretty perfect.
I wish I found that pumpkin.
Good job, everyone.
Well done.
Really proud of you out there, Belinda.
Oh, I like it.
Now we just have to mail it to Australia.
Yeah.
Did you find a perfect pumpkin?
Smuggling pumpkins in a purse.
He's got a...
All right, fam, let's get out of here.
Thanks for coming along, Graham.
Oh, it was fun.
It was fun.
It went fast, too, didn't it?
Yeah, it did.
Well, did you have fun, Belinda?
I did.
Was it possibly the best experience you've had in America?
Close to it, yeah.
Yeah, I think it might have been.
The train kind of took it.
The train was exhilarating.
Having six kids is always an experience.
Yeah, exactly.
Okay, we made it.
We made it to the car.
18,000 pumpkins later.
Lots of walking.
Some very tired kids.
But Belinda had a great time, I think.
Yeah.
I mean, it's like the all-American experience.
All-American fall experience.
The fall experience, yeah.
So she's taking the fall and the way that we celebrate it back with her to Australia,
and they're going to start.
You'll see.
This is the start of something big.
The start of something new.
Anyway, we had fun.
We're going to drive home, get these kids.
I don't even know what we're going to do with them.
Adeline's going to fall asleep and then she won't sleep tonight, so it's fine.
We'll see you guys later.
Thanks for coming with us.
Thanks for coming with Belinda on her first ever American pumpkin outing.
Not the last, but the first.
Now we still have to have pumpkin pie.
Yes.
And carve pumpkins and eat pumpkin seeds.
I think that wraps up all the pumpkin things that we do.
Hey, thanks so much for watching.
