New Double Filet o Fish at McDonald's IT'S A TIDDLER!

How we all doing out there? I hope you're all spot on. And as you can see, I'm not in my car. My car's pulley and and I've stolen my wife's car. Well, I've not really stolen it, Mike, but I've just come out in it with my wife now. She's sat here. And I got a message off Kevin saying there's a new Well, it's not new. It's just they've doubled it up. It's a felt or fillet of fish at McDonald's. I've never reviewed one. And I thought, well, yeah. I was in town anyway. What were we at B&M? Yep. did a bit of shopping and uh I thought well I'll uh I'll it was it was4 to 11. I thought I'll I'll take a drive to McDonald's. It's just across the road. Anyway, I'll tell you what's in it now before I go in. My wife's got it up on her phone. Two crispy white was that hockey hy or pollock fish fillet patties with cheese and tarta sauce in a steamed bun from an MSC certified sustainable fishery. Um, so we've got fish patty 227 calories, regular bone 139 calories. Tarta sauce 40 calories. And you've got processed cheese slices, 48 calories. First for me. I mean, I have had one before, but it was well years and years ago. And apparently I was having a look on Google and it said for 50 years, the first time it's been tampered with. And all they've done is sort of doubled it, I think. I'm not sure. Anyway, let's If you get it on the app, it's two quid on launch day. If you don't, it's five and a half quid. Is it five and a half quid? I don't know. So, it's not cheap. So, let's uh let's go and get it. So, I've got it. Well, I tell a lie. My wife's got the app on her phone and she did it on her phone magic. and she went in and and got it. So, I just sat here. So, she's just dropped it off and she's having a little walk around Dunhelm now. So, I got some napkins. It was £2 uh on launch day on the app. I haven't got the app. Um I I would have normally done a drive-thru, but it's £529. So, I got plenty of napkins, which is good. Um there it is. Now, I did say I did go on Google and it was like, do you say fillet or felt? I just say fillet me. Fill it fish. Um, I don't know. Goodness me. OMG, that is so small. Look at it. Wowers. Goodness gracious me. I haven't had one in years and years and years, but maybe I was a child when I had one and it looked big, but wow. It's just so small. Look at that. That is tiny, isn't it? Good old square fish. Pollock. Square fish. And I'll just have a look. I'll get a photograph for the thumbnail. I think that's the best one. I think there. So, yeah, that's it. Yeah. One slice of cheese. You get two You get tarta sauce in the middle. Look, splded it on. And two bits of fish. Yeah. So, thanks Kev. Uh I didn't know about this at all apart until like quarter to 11 walking around B&M. So the comment section is a fantastic source of communication. Um, yeah, there is a seagull on the roof. I might fill it a fish up. Yeah, I mean, yeah, it's the fish is there's the fish inside. Do excuse the old mouth teeth bites, but that's just the way it goes. It's like fried. It's like deep fried. It's quite nice, actually. It's quite nice that I'm going to go in again. The tarta sauce is tangy. Excuse me, talking with my mouth full. The tarta sauce is tangy. That cheese is completely lost. I think they should have put more than one just slice on there if it's on the bottom. Maybe put a slice between the two, you know, the two um fish patties or fish burgers, fillets of fish. Yeah, it's completely lost at the bottom there. It is waste of time being there. Can't taste it at all. Yeah, the bun's soft. It's said it's just like a steamed Was it a steamed bun or just a regular regular bun? I think it was, wasn't it? It's just soft. It's Yeah, it's it's just been made, of course. It's just turned 11:00. It's Yeah, it's I mean Yeah, there's loads of fish in there. I mean, fillet of fish. Square square fishes. Of course, they've sort of have to sort of push it all together to get it in a square uh shape. Um the tart sauce is dropping it everywhere. Tart sauce is tangy. The cheese is lost unfortunately. It does need another slice of cheese. Definitely one is not enough. Um, although I'm not massively overly keen on that sort of cheese, but uh, you know, if you're going to put it on, at least put it on so you can taste it is is what I think. First fillet of fish on the on on the channel over four years. Yeah, I think I've had a few recommendations to do it, but it's never been it's never been one I've, you know, until now, it's not one I've sort of thought about doing. Yeah. Um, would I buy it again? I wouldn't know. It's It's not my It's not my cup of tea. I do like fish, you know. I like For me, fish is in batter um with load of proper chips on a plate with mushy peas, curry sauce, tart sauce, load of bread and butter, um, and a nice cup of tea to wash it down. And by the beach, preferably not where the seagulls and by the beach is full of seagulls. There's one. I think there's one sat on top of me car. Can hear its feet pattering around. Um the irony, eh? The irony. We're not too far from the beach actually. That well the sea. Not too far at all being a coastal town. Barrow. Yeah. So yeah, I wouldn't buy it again. Glad I tried it. Thanks for watching.
