SURPRISING THE KIDS WITH OUR NEW HOUSE!

All right, we're about to tell the girls. They're gonna be so excited. So, I think we have a dilemma. ♪ Still remember. ♪ Hey friends. Hello, welcome. We're about to do something super exciting. I'm as tall as John is right now. Good job, look at you. Isn't that funny? All of our kids are in the car. Because we're taking them for a really mighty fun surprise. A mighty fun one. Today, we are telling the kids that we are moving. Yay! Okay, if you didn't see our last video, we got pre-approved. We're gonna take them to see the model home. We are building one very, very similar to it. There will be some differences, but they're gonna be so excited. Hopefully, they all get in the home. Okay, we're going into somebody's house. So, you need to be very calm and very polite. Okay? Dad, do we know who's there? Who it is? Have we met them before? No, you haven't met them before. Thank you. There we go. Let's go. Follow us. This is the house that we're visiting today for no particular reason. Come on, Hego. Let's go. We're going upstairs. This is just like, it looks like a Scooby-Doo like TV show when they're running back and forth in the rooms and everybody's chasing each other. Uh-uh, don't jump on stuff. Whoa. Charlotte's web. There's supposed to be a rec room. That means like a room where- Like a playroom. Yeah, like a playroom where you have toys and stuff. Maybe a TV. I wish we could buy this place. I really like what I get in this house. I want to get in this house when I move the house. Okay. Well, they're not super excited obviously, but we are super excited. I'm super excited. I want to live here. So now we're going to go check out a couple lots. Now it begins. It's beginning, Danielle. We've got a million waters now, some shoes. And a million kids. Yeah. You want to see the specialest thing of all? Come here. Coffee machine. We made a coffee machine. All right, come here. Now she's dancing. Okay guys, so I think we're going to head down there to see where we're going to build our house and then we'll meet you down there. So this is actually one lot option right here. But our only concern is that it like slopes down the back. So it doesn't have a lot of usable backyard space, which is like what we want. We're going to go check out another lot. What? Get in the car, right here. No, I'm staying in the car. Hey, you get in the car right here. We're going to go drive. Let's go drive. Oh my goodness. Our kids are nuts. Literally, they're nuts. And real quick, I'll show you. We wanted this lot, but obviously there's a house right there now. So that sucks. Okay, that's like the really, really best one. And then the lot next to it is kind of what we're really looking at. The only issue with that is we're trying to do a three car garage. They don't know if that's going to like fit on that lot as far as width goes, but it's got a great like length. Like look how far it goes back. It goes all the way back to the other fence where their sod ends. So you've got a great like long lot. It's really about the width, as far as that goes. She said they can see if they can get that approved. Here's the other lot. Option. Yes. Yeah, I don't like that. Like the cul-de-sac is nice. Would you be willing to forfeit a third car garage if that came down to it? I don't know. Because that's kind of like what we're talking about. That's why she's showing us this. I guess they don't stay outside that much anymore. So maybe the third car garage and bigger lot would be nicer. Let's just see what she says. We just had dinner. Giving popsicles. Do you want to hear what my favorite popsicles are? Our kids are getting to pick which one they want. I want bingo. Okay, okay. Bingo. She wants bingo. That's bingo right there. I'll try. Okay. So I think we have a dilemma. So you guys, we are trying to decide. There was a lot we really wanted. And we had heard we could put the three car garage on it, which is what we're looking for. And it is sold. Somebody has already built their house there. So we kind of knew that might happen. But back when we originally asked, the one next to it, they also said it wasn't originally marked out for a three car garage, but that it would be possible. But the person we were working with originally no longer is working there. Anyway, so we go today to look at things. And that lot looks really like, it's not a small lot. It's just a long, like narrow lot. And so with a three car garage on the side, we're not sure if it's going to fit or if they can do it. So they're checking into that. But that kind of changes things a little bit because the other lot that they had available, we're not, it's just not for us. Like it's got a lot of side yard. It's in a cul-de-sac, which is fine. But the back hill yard is like, null. We are sitting outside now. All the kids are playing. Roar, what are you? I am on a lion, a big lion that I can run. You're a big lion that can run? Oh my goodness. That's why we need the yard. I know. So they've been playing out here for a while. And like, it took us so long to get our yard put together. When we first moved in, we had like three feet from this patio. So maybe like the widest part of our yard was like five feet of yard and grass. And that was it because we had a retaining wall there. So we moved the wall and leveled it out. And then it was dirt for like four years, like red clay that the kids could not even play in. So we finally, not even a month ago, put sod down and they have this like nice grass backyard. It's like 30 feet back to the end of it from our house. Which is nice, okay? It's not the biggest yard we wanted to upgrade, but she's messaged me. She's just trying to figure it out whether or not we'll even be allowed to use one of these lots that we're looking at for it. If not, she said, I found a backup one. Like how much yard did you want? Because it's not a big lot. Like it's a small lot, but it's flat. It's really flat. Because some of them were like big lots and fine for it, but like super just sloped down the back. Like it'd be excellent if you wanted to sled. Yeah. If it was like snow all year long. I mean, it's like steep. We're like, that's not like, that's not gonna work for us. So I don't know. I don't know what to do. I think that we're at the point where we, we don't want to downsize our yard. We are like moving into a bigger home, but we're also like paying a lot more and we don't have to move like we would like to. So I don't want to compromise on it for now. If we could just wait until the next phase of development, which is going to cost more, but it might be worth it if we could get a lot that we wanted. So we're just like, not bummed because she's still checking and asking and like exploring all the options that we have available. But as of right now, we're just kind of waiting to see what the answers are because the options we had today that were like green light, you can go on this right now. We're like, no, we don't. Yeah, I think essentially like, if we could just get yard that's the same, at least the same size as what we have, we'd be good with it. So we're just kind of like hoping we can find something like that, so. Said the same size or bigger. So we'll see. We will keep you guys updated, but we're going to go for tonight. Where?
