We NEVER Thought We Would Do THIS in Philippines!

hello guys and welcome back to another daily juice today is an exciting day and it's a day we never thought would come we are writing recording producing editing filming the video of and hopefully finishing today a christmas song and it's not as easy as it looks no my voice hurts because we're trying to hit them notes and we're taking so feeding so many takes we've basically recorded our vocals just now we've found some drum beats online george has recorded one lot of his guitar playing he's gonna record a second lot and then we've got a record keyboard uh and we're gonna layer it up we're gonna edit it all together when you're watching this video the actual song that we've made called i think we don't have a title are we calling it christmas is more fun in the philippines yeah so obviously the classic it's more fun in the philippines mixed with christmas has anyone done it already maybe we're not the best no true so that's the title of our song and my voice is so cracking neither of us are the best singers in the world i mean we're okay i think okay george is better than i am anyway and we but we're just trying to have a bit of fun here like i was saying the song will already be live when you guys are watching this so make sure you head back and see the last video that we uploaded on the channel to check that out because i think it's gonna be a lot of fun we still need to record like a music video for it as well i think we're just gonna have like quite a chilled indoorsy music video for it i think that's the plan i'm in the studio right now yeah as you can see we've got microphone we have no gear for recording music by the way we've just been amateur doing what we can with what we've got so we've got these like microphones we use for our podcast headphones plugged in microphones other cameras my guitar over here with the amp plugged in over there which we had to face away because there was a ton of feedback and this is sat like on the kitchen oven basically the technical plan behind it is to record i'll show you the garageband project yeah recording everything separately so far we've got guitar one christmas drums george vocal lucy vocal and audio five which is like some extra parts of the vocal we're adding in so it's kind of um the plan is to record everything frankenstein it together and then just add like a ton of effects and echoes and make it christmassy make a crispy hide our poor vocal performances which actually aren't too bad they come out all right it's okay we try to do some harmonies but it's basically just a bit of fun for us and we thought because if you've already seen the song the bear months are here as you know that's one of the lines that's my line at the end um so obviously it's the perfect time to get a christmas out if you want to basically i'm filming we're filming a video today because we figured if we just randomly released a christmas song with no context it might be a bit random so i know it's going to be a day later but it's just to give you a behind the scenes look at how it went how we made it how we made it superstars joking um but if you end up finding yourself listening to this song then tag us on instagram let us know in the comments maybe this is the song you'll hear in the malls this festive season maybe you'll be driving somewhere in your car or riding the bus to work with your headphones in and you think i want to listen to a christmas song why not pick our song if there is anyone watching who runs local radio in manila or you're a radio dj or you have something to radio hook us up let's go see let's get some radio play let's see what we can do how does it work here do we send in our track and like does the producer of the show the magic side i think that'd be so cool if you could play it somehow if anyone if there's any fans of the vlog who work in philippines radio any radio get in touch send a message on instagram okay we're just about to hit record in the studio george is putting some headphones in i basically have to count him in but he i can't hear the music when he's playing the guitar so he's just gonna add some effects over it we've got this microphone pushed up against his amp here to record sound and you can see it's on this one just here so as he's playing it's kind of going up you ready let me know when you want me to count you in you can't hear me that's nice yeah something like that a little extra sparkle are you ready uh i'll say yeah one two i'll sorry ready yeah okay is it loud enough can autocross play and see if you can hear it that's fine okay stop that again i don't really hear that [Music] oh [Music] so [Music] hmm [Music] that little bit there yes [Music] are you saying something else there isn't it great or are we just keeping it maybe just jingle bells again just some jingle bells again put the jingle bells back in maybe you can copy and paste them maybe guys honestly this is a big old project to give the video a big thumbs up you suddenly realize when people spend like a year making an album [Music] but why is it doing that again it's not playing the audio okay they send it again for extra vocal has it so because my guitar amp has taken up the kitchen we have ordered pizza well deserved pizza break and an episode of modern family i think we're about halfway so quick pizza then straight back into the studio also known as kitchen okay we are back in the studio now we don't have a bass guitar like i do not own a bass guitar so what i'm doing i've tried to make my normal tar as bassy sounding as possible with the amp settings and the guitar settings so we're going to try testing [Applause] and do a little testing for this one we're going to try and try and lay down a little do you want all of that to be honest yeah i want to hear it in my headphones what though all of that apart from bass i also don't really play bass so i'm kind of making up a bass line this is actually pretty funny because i just realized that i'm gonna have to make up a bass line i don't play bass this is not a bass guitar and i haven't yet really tried to make up a bass line i'm just going into record are you going straight i know like the root notes and stuff of the song do you want me to count you in again uh uh no it should be okay oh i can't hear myself lucy is now listening back to a potential final version of the song this is so funny that's the weird gap really we need to add something here okay another jingle bell like it's too quiet and it's always looks like we've forgotten to sing okay we can bring another instrument let's make a note let's make some little notes we're not done yet guys okay guys it has finished i'm scared it's exported we filmed we didn't even we didn't vlog we just filmed the whole music video to go with the song oh yeah we were filming and lucy is now making a thumbnail for the youtube video that you hopefully would have seen we're not we're now kind of it's dawning upon us now that we have to actually upload this to the world um why not you know life's full of uh interesting surprises and sometimes you end up making a christmas song and uploading it on the internet to thousands of people just another day in our lives all good fun if you if you do like the song please go and play it every single day send it to your friend send it to your work colleague send it on facebook messenger send it to your family abroad i've got something funny if anyone like works in like an office or they have like somewhere they can play it to lots of people like a shop send us a video or comment below send us a video and of you playing our song somewhere yeah it's like not in not at home it's so so funny we're gonna hit upload in a minute and then we're gonna be able to read live or vlog it we'll read the comments coming in on the vlog and see how people take it could be interesting people what did you say you were like i'm waiting for that one comment i went for the one comment that says this is the worst christmas song i have ever heard by the way everything on the song other than the drums because we obviously do have a drum kit is us is me playing the guitar or it was recorded here with our microphones our vocals everything so everything you hear is us apart from the drums and the full lyrics are in the pinned comment of that presentation lyrics on a wall yeah we wrote the lyrics on one of our little bgc walks oh my goodness it's going live are you ready do i put this in playlists i guess it belongs to philippines lockdown and travel from the beginning i never thought i'd upload this in a travel playlist on youtube let's do it imagine wait oh my god people watching our random travel vlogs before we went traveling imagine someone's like yeah one day you're going to write a christmas song about philippines christmas what if someone like comes across like i know one of our japan vlogs and they're like oh what did these people do in kyoto and then the next one it plays in the playlist or something is a christmas present collection anyway okay you ready it's in my head this summer so badly let us know if it's in any of your heads did you just be live no no yeah christmas is more fun in the philippines song by the juicy title yeah that is the title of the song yeah public oh my god oh here we go it's live we are now singer songwriters off camera lucy just made the best joke we were making the video and made it quite retro and stuff and i said to lucy it kind of feels like top of the pops and she goes george i think this is bottom of the pot hey comments yep have we got any yet no i need to post the lyrics in the comments i just wrote the lyrics out while we were watching it back so that you can read the lyrics i feel like the lyrics should be appreciated i feel like they're well thought out so there we go guys this i hid it live literally i hit publish and then i went on the video i had 27 thumbs up in less like like one second six thumbs up in two minutes six thumbs up okay that's good no thumbs down yeah i think we're going to be flooded with thumbs down very soon i think everyone's going to be like oh my god okay let's read let's read some comments i feel like it's just the first comments at the moment yeah everyone's like first first first oh wow okay there's 23 comments already okay early good this song is so good i love it wow you guys really made a song cool so talented oh my god never seen a video about them singing true lovely okay i cannot believe i'm actually saying this george and i have just posted a christmas song that we wrote sung and recorded today and we'd love to swipe up and watch wow we have a music video oh my lucy's comments people are liking it nice song love this one sweet couple oh so it's like it's just like i love this one it says it's now just a classic christmas song that's gonna be played every year yeah it's just like one of the classes we were thinking about making it about 20 2020 a little bit and a few twists about like quarantine and stuff but then we thought george made a good point he said we want it to be timeless we wanted to be able to use it every year this is live or something imagine our kids in the future and we're like oh what's your merry christmas song mom and dad and we're like we wrote a christmas song today we only let them listen to this one yeah this is christmas or we just play it don't tell them he wrote it and then later in their lives when they grow up we're like by the way you know that song you like that's our thought oh my god someone said you need to get this on spotify maybe we could look into that wow all right guys this was a little behind the scenes vlog of the christmas song we hope you enjoyed it you haven't yet heard the song oh you must have done it go and check it out go check it out um thanks for watching this little behind the scenes vlog a little bit more info about
