EPIC SURPRISE with Manila Apartment! (Emotional Day for us)

can you hear me can you hear me i can't hear you at all you stink okay perfect [Music] so [Music] okay guys good morning and welcome to another daily juice today's video i've just got george to put some headphones on so i can film this clip and i've told him i've got a little surprise for him because today is exactly one year since we moved into our apartment here in bgc in manila in the philippines i'll put this away it doesn't look very pretty does it and basically i've been doing some things over the last couple of weeks to put some things in place just for a little surprise for george just something fun and something that we can kind of celebrate with today so first thing is this guy i mean it's all backlit it looks a lot better in person you can't really see it very well i've got a big golden one balloon this is like crazy it's like holographic silver uh like a curtain i've attached to the curtain pole with some tape and i've had it like run all the way down here and here is the main event this incredible cake i'll tell you more about this later once we've surprised george but how amazing is this so cool so i've just done a little display here and i'm just going to get george to come out now and see it but it's just a little bit of fun today should i light the candle it's not really a birthday is it i guess it's a birthday not a birthday an anniversary type thing i think i think i'm gonna light the candle let's do that [Music] yes okay you ready can you hear me now you can take the headphones off now hear anything there we go are you ready for your surprise you're ready i don't know why spreading it a steamer wow oh wow cool nice what i did not expect that wow that's awesome how did you do that well you should blow it out i didn't make it i i assume you didn't make it i don't have another you're making a cake and i also don't have an oven to bake a cake put our camera on here that's insane and that's got our instagram photos on as well one year anniversary of this apartment yeah wow and look at the pictures they're all like they're all apartment pictures oh yeah from the home account screenshot from the blog who made this i'll tell you all about it very thick so cool i feel bad for you surprising me with this because it's joining it's a joint thing a present for me it's even got our camera you're going to blow the candle out let's do it together okay ready yeah amazing i did not expect that and now for the reality behind it i did behind it trying to get an instagram photo hmm is that going to work maybe probably with backlit here backlit love the balloon it's a proper helium balloon it's a bit deflated how did you figure this out man full of surprises aren't you right you get away in your position and all okay are you getting your good side you can have your good side if you want because you arranged it this is this is the thing with lucia and i every time we want to take photos together we both have the same good side so any one of us can have it you can have it i don't mind [Music] maybe just a flashlight will be good yeah [Music] what is going on this is a steamer this is how much my life has changed in two years two years ago i was a backpacker now now i'm steaming my t-shirts in my apartment that we've had for a year i i always surprise myself basically we don't like ironing but because we don't like ironing we were noticing that all our clothes were creased and so i thought hmm why don't we buy one of these i've always seen people use these and it's way better it's easy although i'm not sure if i'm using it right because the manual was in chinese as are these letters here yes and we don't know what setting it's on so but steam are you guys ready for the most satisfying part of this vlog we're going to cut the cake and have a slice so the very talented lady from pinay baker the people who have sent us some like guilt-free low-sugar desserts before has rustled this cake up today um today maybe not today i don't know when she made it and if you guys are interested in like custom cakes or a load of other baked goods and delicious desserts we'll leave her instagram link below she delivered this i think she sent a la la move driver or something to deliver it today we had a tiny injury i'm going to say from the delivery driver it slid a bit so i put you'll see here oprah filled it in with a marker pen you can still say the word anniversary and this is heavy i just carried over it's solid and i managed to sneak it upstairs without george realizing yeah well done because i knew jordan would never go in the street because it's not difficult to hide things from me because i'm very unobservant okay let's cut it open enough talking let's get to the good bit yes she told me this wasn't edible definitely not edible but the rest is good to go i think it's chocolate oh wow the whole thing's chocolate wow it's incredibly high so i guess we want thin slices right because look yes yeah it's like super good are we ready yeah oh go on oh my god i'm trying so hard yes nice definitely chocolate definitely okay you tell me where you wanna is that too much yeah that's too much yeah that's good okay are we ready to see inside the satisfying part oh wow this looks great oh i think i've messed this up wow yes that is super chocolatey so rich wow let's have a look at that look in here it's like so dark love it there we go delicious wow so huge thank you so much for sending this i had the idea to surprise george and you were the perfect person you paid you did it i don't mean i did it i mean she did it yeah she did it but you pulled off the surprise i guess i did part of it okay we're going to try this cake right now it looks like um you know in matilda the dark chocolate wow the famous chocolate cake scene it looks like that okay this is for one year oh my god is it good so rich oh wow that is solid chocolate wow delicious we don't want to make any solid future plans but we're having a little look at some options let's just put it that way i can imagine myself spending a lot of time we're moving to the philippines yeah and we haven't had a base for a whole year now it's one year yesterday of when we moved out of our flat in the uk oh wow wow nice wow if it's the view is one of the things that was like on our criteria that's amazing this is a great view here right over the city so i think this one is easily the nicest that we've seen today walking in here i was suddenly like i was like okay this is a little bit different we have had a little bit of a moment um okay we've got some thinking to do but today is a huge day we get the keys to our apartment got the keys yeah we are officially officially we are officially people who live in bgc
