A short segment video of a super grain train climbing Providence Hill in Washington State.
Welcome to a Railfan Dan short segment video.
This is the BNSF Lakeside Subdivision, and we are on the east slope of Providence Hill
just east of the summit at Providence, Washington.
This is what some of us call a Super Grain Train, or technically a Double Grain Train.
It's two full unit grain trains coupled together for one giant 200 plus car train, this one
loaded heading west.
It's a good show here to watch one of these climb Providence Hill, and this one represents
a whole bunch of railroads as you will see.
It's a double track mainline here on the Lakeside Sub.
You are now seeing half, or the first whole set, of the train with a four pack of mid-DPU
units back to the left.
Subscribe and hit the bell if you're enjoying so far.
The recent takeover of the Montana Rail Link is becoming more apparent as their SD-70 units
are starting to regularly make their way out of Montana.
Finally we get the view of the rear of this massive train.
Some eastern power even made its way into this train in the form of the rear Norfolk
Southern unit.
This video is a segment of a longer video of the BNSF on Providence Hill which will
be released in the future, or if you're watching this long after it has been published
then you can find it in my Eastern Washington 2024 playlist.
Thanks for watching!
