Good morning guys, oh wow, I'm starting the video with what you can't see which is the camera screen with a flashing red battery.
Amazing start, so I'm going to have to keep this short and then go and put this on charge and then in half an hour resume the vlog.
I was going to do like a nice long intro here but I don't think I'm going to be able to, I think I'm about to get cut off by my own camera.
So if I go, very abruptly, that's why and I'll be back very soon.
But welcome back to the channel, I hope you're all doing well.
It's a sticky hot one today, my hair is up, I'm boiling hot already.
It's been like 28, 29 degrees at the moment where we live, in the UK, in the South Coast.
So feeling very warm, so I'm probably making you dizzy throwing the camera around so much.
But today we thought we've got a few things in this vlog.
We're at a position in the house where we're potentially selling.
Okay, so I know you think we've just moved in, what are you doing? Stop moving on so quickly again.
But we can't seem to stay anywhere longer than like two or three years.
This is actually the longest we've ever been in a house.
Yeah, two and a bit years.
And we've got itchy feet, we've got ideas for another potential renovation project.
Yes, I know we've got a newborn and a three-year-old, probably not the wisest decision, but that's the kind of thing we like to do.
So we've got the house ready because there's actually someone coming to view it this morning.
And we thought at the same time, because it's looking nice, we thought we'd do like an updated house tour.
Because this house was an absolute dream of ours to get and to renovate.
And we haven't actually shown the updates since we basically finished it.
And we did most of the renovations in one short burst at the beginning when we were actually living in it.
But then since living in it, we've made quite a lot of other changes.
So we want to do like an updated house tour and sort of go through all of that.
I've also got an appointment later for myself and our newborn baby Remi, who's currently in this little cot behind us here.
It's at an osteopath clinic that I actually went to during my pregnancy for my back problems.
And they're amazing. I had like pregnancy massage there with one of the ladies called Anna.
And then Emily is an osteopath who like basically fixed my back when I was pregnant.
Which compared to my pregnancy with Coda, it was awful, my back, like so bad.
And it was like a tiny percentage of pain this time in comparison.
So she has magic hands.
And I'm meeting a lady today called Alison, who's actually going to do this like check on myself and on Remi.
And we're going to go through loads of stuff.
And I thought it'd be quite fun to bring you guys along with me for that.
So, oh, I'm getting a phone call.
George is calling me.
Hello? Hello?
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, do you want anything in blend?
Hello.
Hello, Remi.
Hello.
Hello, Remi.
Okay, it's time now for summer lunch.
It's a perfect opportunity to introduce you to the sponsor of today's video, which is HelloFresh.
If you have been living under a rock and you don't know what HelloFresh is,
it's basically something where you can choose your meals for the week.
High protein or speedy meals.
It basically takes away so much of your planning time.
And all the ingredients you need arrive in little bags that are numbered with whatever number is on the recipe card right here.
We've got the ultimate chicken tikka and rice.
Personally, I'm rather warm today, so I think we're going to skip that one today.
Or, which I think we're going to go for, this one,
which is the Greek-inspired 21-day aged rump steak salad with sweet potato fries and Greek-style cheese.
If you are watching this and you'd like to try HelloFresh today, then you can use code HELLOJUICY.
You get 50% off your first box, 20% off your next four boxes, and the recipe.
Free dessert for life.
I've never seen the sweet potato in that shape before.
I think, for me, it's a great way to save time, but it still means you get to enjoy, like, tasty home-cooked meals.
You can romanticise your day a bit more because you've got this, like, lovely curated meal to look forward to.
Friends coming over, or you just want to have a little self-care night on your own or as a couple.
Okay, this looks so good.
And it's actually, without meaning to me, it's the first time I'm having steak that's not well done since I was pregnant.
Let's go straight for a taste test here.
So good.
So, like I said, you can use code HELLOJUICY.
So make sure you check out the description below.
I'm going to enjoy this.
And thanks again to HelloFresh for sponsoring this video.
Okay, we're going to go straight into the house tour.
So, during the house tour, as we go around and show you the nows, we're going to put some before pictures in.
Was the house how it was when we bought it?
The photos that attracted us to the house initially, which you may be surprised at, because it was very different to how it is now.
So it's a 70s house, and it basically hadn't really been touched.
It had the original wallpaper.
Everything was original.
The doors, there was like a, do you remember the big sliding barn door that was here?
There was this funny door.
And that was actually the first thing we did when we bought the house.
Sorry about that.
The viewing actually happened then.
Okay, that's what we were saying.
We were saying about this barn door, weren't we?
It had like a barn door thing, but like not a nice barn door like these days.
Like an old like plasticky door that just like sort of badly slid from here.
The first thing we did was rip that off.
Do you remember the first day we got the keys?
I came in and just ripped that door off as like a...
Come on then, let's start the demolishing now.
Okay, Lucy.
Yeah, there's for some reason...
That's been done.
Well done.
There's this ancient sliding door.
This would be quite cool as like a barn door.
Yeah.
Start with the renovation process.
So yeah, we've basically done everything.
So there was Artec ceilings before, which are now paved over, plastered over.
So they're nice and smooth.
We've got spotlights on the ceiling.
Painted all the walls white.
Changed all the floorings.
Got this nice wooden flooring.
Got the radiator covers on.
Put the coir in the porch, which is just like rough stuff that's like a doormat.
And of course, baby gates everywhere.
Classic.
And the kitchen was totally ripped out.
And we've had a brand new kitchen put in.
And we've had the lights on, so it looks a little bit nicer.
Just nice and white, neutral.
And then we've got this like speckly worktop.
I think we've shown this in a few videos before.
But if you're new around here, you've obviously not seen it before.
Nice zoom in on the worktop there.
But yeah, we really like it in here.
The sink, especially with the tap.
And of course, the coffee area just to the left, in keeping with the theme, of course.
And then if you go around to the lounge, we changed the doors.
We've got nice big open patio doors now.
Our lovely table.
But we actually don't really use that much, to be honest with you, do we?
It's more like, it just looks nice.
We actually, Coda will eat on his little table in the corner.
We'll normally eat on the sofa.
We should probably use it a bit more, but we're kind of scared to use it.
Because it's a sort of wood that you don't want to get anything wet on.
But anyway, so yeah.
We've got, we kept the fireplace and just painted it black.
Because I think it's quite nice to have a couple of the original features of the house.
This bookcase was from Facebook Marketplace.
It was free, wasn't it?
So, yeah, good to know.
I've got these twigs up, which George thinks is very strange.
But I thought they were quite nice branches from the garden.
I thought it was a nice decoration in the house.
And I love this photo as well.
It opens out into the garden.
I'd say we're done with the house, but I've got eight more of these to paint.
And I've run out of paint.
The bucket of paint I was using ran out yesterday.
So that would have been finished.
We're eight squares away from finishing the patio, which has taken me over a year to do.
Because I started it last summer.
Didn't manage to do much, because it's like 45 minutes of slab.
And then winter happened, and then I couldn't do it.
And only now we're getting the good weather again, so I can get out here and paint it.
And it dries in time, and it's not all wet and horrible.
The garden is kind of a work in progress.
But if we're moving, we're not really going to do much more.
We just love the seating area here.
The big parasol being up.
Koda's got his swings and all his games and stuff in the garden.
It's not a big garden, but it's very practical for what it does.
We've got our nice barbecue around the corner and stuff.
If it was a long-term house, we'd put a bit more effort into it.
We wanted to tidy up the borders and get some nice plants out here and stuff.
But for now, it's a nice garden you can't really see in.
Lots of greenery, lots of nice plants and trees and stuff.
And it's just a nice place to spend the days when it's nice and warm like it is today.
One of my favorite bits of the lounge is this, which is oak acoustic backing on the walls.
Nice little mount for the TV.
Instead of just mounting it onto a plain wall, we think that looks quite nice.
This is a little table where Koda has his food sometimes, crafts, playing, whatever.
And then his little chair where he often watches TV.
And then our lovely sofa along here.
This is where you'll find us of an evening.
And then we go upstairs next.
We haven't actually shown this yet.
We've got two doors. One leads to a downstairs toilet.
Very exciting stuff.
Don't think you need to see any more than that.
And I'm not even going to open that one because it's covered under the stairs where things get thrown in.
So that's the no-entry zone.
I would not recommend spending any time in there.
Upstairs, we have carpet.
We did actually have carpet down here originally.
Even carpet in the toilet, which I think is not nice.
I think it's a bit gross.
So we got rid of that, obviously.
But carpeted with white carpet upstairs.
It's not looking bad.
I mean, it's like over two years old.
Everyone said, why are you getting cream carpet to the baby?
It's been alright, hasn't it?
Yeah, and we don't drink wine anymore.
So no red wine spillages.
Who's drinking red wine on the stairs?
You never know.
Old us would have done.
Anywhere, anytime.
Then up here, we've got nice lighting.
Couple of pictures on the walls.
This is the original banister.
We painted the top bit black.
Because everything in the house is black and white, it seems.
Or beige.
One of my favourite rooms in the house is our office here.
Which is where I edit a lot of our videos.
We actually have the same wall attachment.
What's the word for this?
I don't even know. Panelling?
The same feature, anyway, in black in this room.
I thought that would look really good as the office set up.
And it does.
Goes with our big wooden desk.
Guitar's in the corner.
And then this pegboard up here, which is super messy.
But essentially holds all of our cameras, lenses, charging, stuff like that.
We are now actually having to use partly for storage.
And this may, if we don't move in time for Remy to become like 6 months old.
Which I'm hoping we will.
Then this room, we're going to sacrifice this half.
And have it as his bedroom, little nursery.
But for now, this is the office.
And it's so nice having a dedicated space where I can go and work.
Or Lucy can go and work.
Which is kind of separate from just sitting on the sofa.
It's so tempting when you're working at home to just work on the sofa.
Or on the bed, something like that.
But having that office space is great.
And it's a big room.
I can set cameras up.
I can set tripods up.
I can set lights and mics and stuff.
So that's one thing for the next house that I definitely want.
Hopefully get an even bigger space to do that as well.
Then this is the bedroom.
Nice big window.
Big king size bed.
Fits perfectly.
Loads of space.
Loads of storage along here.
And then, of course, currently now half of another bit of a nursery.
It's a four-bedroom house.
We've used all the rooms.
And we've kind of been made to make rooms into two uses.
We've got Remy's changing station next to me crib here.
And then the bathroom is our most recent change.
So we've had everything redone in here.
And I think this is quite a dramatic before and after.
Oh, I didn't say about the built-in wardrobes in there.
So in the bedroom, that was built-in wardrobes.
And you can see that here as well.
There'll be before photos in every room I go into.
We've got a mirror here that's heated.
The little light behind it, which is quite cool.
This shelf is falling down, which is great.
I don't know if you've noticed that recently.
Is it you, like, pumping this down?
Yeah, probably.
Look.
It's meant to do that.
Yeah.
It's fallen quite a lot.
I tend to lean on it.
We've got the smoke glass.
Shower screen.
Like an antique brass tap in there for the shower.
And the same out here.
I quite like this tap.
The way the water flows out of it.
It's quite cool.
So I can't get this white stuff off of it.
So I need to find some way to do that.
And then we've got the dressing room in here.
So that's, again, amazing storage.
Like, all our clothes are in here.
George always, any time that someone comes around, he goes,
this is Lucy's bit, and that's mine.
But the reality is, that is a complete lie.
Because if you look here, this is all George's stuff.
So I think next time you make that joke,
I'm going to catch you out and say, actually, George, tell them the truth.
And then lastly, Koda's room with a bright red bed.
We made the black and white exception in his room,
because his favourite colour's red.
His first ginormous double bed with bright red bedding.
He has space stickers all over the ceiling.
He got a Spider-Man poster recently.
I said, where do you want to put it?
He said, the ceiling.
I said, OK.
We've got dinosaurs on the wall.
We've got Koda up above your head.
We've got a random clock on the wall, because he's learning to tell the time.
We won't have that anymore.
We'll have to buy something.
We'll have to measure it, and then draw it on his new one.
Yeah, this goes back to August 2023.
This jump is wild.
It's two months, and he grew like an inch.
Yeah.
It's crazy.
And of course, picture on the wall so he can worship us.
It's like a shrine.
We put that in here when he was a baby, but I feel like now he's older, it's a bit weird.
He's like, mum and dad.
No one has a picture of their parents in their bedroom.
That big above your head when you're asleep.
He sleeps here, and that's on his head.
Hilarious.
It's a bit weird.
Oh, well, I think he likes it.
He's not asked for it to be put down.
No.
Storage for his clothes and stuff.
Exploding bookcase that definitely needs sorting through, but he loves his books.
It all needs a bit of a tidy in here.
I don't like it in here very much.
He's got so many toys.
Bless him.
But I feel like we need to tidy it a bit so he can actually use them better, because they're
just all out at the moment.
But yeah, toy storage through here.
Kitchen.
Climbing frame.
It's just all everywhere.
Egg box for a toy down there.
We treat him well.
And that's cute as well, that little picture.
Yeah, that is the end of the toilet.
Also a loft.
We will not be going in there today because there was no need.
And also a garage.
And a garage.
Yeah.
But as Lucy mentioned, we are pretty much ready to move on again from this house.
Some people say we're crazy.
We move all the time.
In our life, I don't know.
We've got big plans for the future.
We have things we want to do.
We have big ideas, places we want to live, and things that we imagine our family home
having as we're having more kids.
Coda and Remy growing up maybe a third in a few years.
I don't know if we're lucky enough, which basically means more space.
We want a way bigger garden.
We want the family home.
We want somewhere where the kids can just grow up, run around.
We can have family over, people to stay, friends to stay.
So when we're not going off traveling, we have that amazing home base.
And essentially, we bought this house at a really good price because of the work that it needed,
how dated it was.
And now, one, the market has gone higher.
And two, the renovations that we've done have added a load of value to the house.
We've recently had it valued, so it gives us a better position to move forward.
Hope you enjoyed that little tour.
Do let us know if you want us to include more of this kind of stuff in the vlogs
and our search for the next house and stuff.
We did vlog some of it when we were looking for this house.
So yeah, comment below if that is your thing, if you want us to include more of that in the vlogs.
Right, so it is a little bit later in the day now.
And myself, Lucy, and Remy have come out.
I always say that when I say his name.
Remy have come out to an appointment for Lucy and Remy at an osteopaths.
Now...
Osteopath.
It's not an osteopaths.
Osteopaths.
It's not their house.
Clinic.
Clinic?
She is an osteopath.
Salon? No, not salon.
Clinic.
We've come to see an osteopath anyway.
For reasons we will explain, I think Lucy is going to talk a little bit more about it after the appointment
because the time is 12 minutes past 1 and the appointment starts at approximately 15 minutes past 1
which is in approximately 3 minutes and I'm still sat here talking to the camera.
We do need to get Remy into the buggy and walk to the appointment
so I'm going to stop talking to the camera now.
We'll film a little bit in the appointment.
I actually want to book in for an appointment as well myself
because I had issues with my back and my shoulder alignment and stuff
and after a few sessions with the osteopath, it genuinely helped.
I really noticed a difference and I would be quite keen for another appointment
because I went to the gym yesterday for the first time in a month
so I had a full month off of the gym whilst we were getting used to having Remy and stuff
which I think is reasonable.
It's not too bad.
I felt a little bit weak yesterday.
But yeah, just that I'm going to be getting back to lifting heavy weights and stuff,
I think it might be a good idea for me to have another session myself at some point.
But anyway, that is not what today is about.
Today is about Lucy and Remy's appointment.
So let's head in.
So this is the place.
Yay!
This pelvic girdle pain.
I just want to have a check and see if everything is back where it should have been.
Yeah.
And we're kind of going to have a look all the way up including your neck to see
potentially is that causing some of the headaches
because like you said, your body has adapted so much.
I had a very big bump as well.
It was during all of this.
Yeah.
Everyone was a bit shocked by it.
Yeah.
And suddenly, you're not like that anymore.
You're having to compensate for that sort of extra weight at the front.
Suddenly, you're not like that anymore.
You have to be, your eyes have to be level.
So sometimes there's this compensation pattern all the way up to the neck.
I'm not saying that's what's causing the headaches and migraines.
But it's worth having a look as well, isn't it?
Going, what is actually happening?
It's really tight in there, isn't it?
Very slightly rotated through the right.
Okay.
It doesn't look desperately that bad, but okay.
Let's see if you do.
Yeah, you can probably feel that, can't you?
That you're a little bit just forward on that side.
So I'm just going to get you to do a couple of little movements.
Let's have a look.
So can you bend to the right to begin with?
Yeah.
How's that feeling?
That's good.
Okay.
The other way.
That's really good.
Good movement.
Okay.
How's that feeling when you do that?
Yeah, fine.
A bit like clicky.
But it's fine.
Yeah, it doesn't hurt.
Good.
Bend forward so you can touch your toes.
Okay.
Lovely.
And up again.
And then backwards.
How's that feeling?
Okay?
Yeah.
That's being a little bit less than that.
A little bit.
That's where the lower back thing is.
Got it.
Yeah.
Actually, that left side, isn't it?
That's a little bit tight there.
Is that okay?
Yeah, it's okay.
Right leg's slightly forward, pelvis slightly forward.
But it's just still a little bit tight there.
Yeah.
You've been compensating for your pregnancy, the weight and what have you, and the stretch
ligaments.
Yeah.
So it's not really surprising that's happening.
So we'll work on that today.
Loosen it up nice and gently.
Yeah.
And I'm going to work up through your neck and shoulders because it's really tight here.
But again, that's that breast feeding.
Yeah.
It's like the shoulders forward.
And all these soft tissues in your upper back are desperately holding you up.
So it's like holding your weight like that, isn't it?
Yeah.
So it gets a bit tight.
Yeah.
And it's hard when you're breast feeding.
But again, we'll talk about things you can do with it.
Just gentle feel about how does he move.
So can I pick up any tension?
So I actually will be moving him around.
Yeah.
And if there is, you tend to see it as well as I feel it, okay?
Yeah, yeah.
So it's a tiny bit tighter through.
What would you say the top few things are for someone to use or sit with their children?
So if you can, you notice that with your baby that they've got a neck preference.
Yeah.
So they only want to look one way.
Difficulty in feeding so they won't latch.
Potentially because of neck tension or jaw tension.
Yeah.
After tongue ties, quite good.
Yeah.
Or digestive system issues.
Okay.
So as osteopaths, what we say is we treat unsettled babies.
But they are part of the things that parents are bringing their babies into.
Yeah.
Okay.
Yeah, thank you so much.
Thank you.
Nice to meet you.
Yeah, you too.
Okay, back in the car now.
And that was great.
Firstly, for me, just to give you a rundown, it was like a long appointment, wasn't it?
We were in there for like an hour and a half.
And it went really quickly.
She spoke through the birth, the pregnancy.
She went through all of my history.
And then did some work on me.
I've got this old sort of sciatica type pain on my right side.
I think it's amazing what they do.
She had her hand on it.
And she kept saying I can feel it.
Was it dropping?
Dropping and releasing.
Dropping and releasing and stuff.
And it's so hard to explain the feeling.
But you can kind of feel like something's happening.
And when it's done, you feel really nice and a little bit spaced out.
Quite relaxed and comfortable.
It's a really unusual feeling.
But I already know that for my work with Emily, like I said before, it helped so much.
And I'm really excited that she's done some more treatment on it today.
And hopefully going to improve this historical injury that I've got.
But it was also for me a lot about the fact that I was pregnant.
Big tummy to having not a big tummy, not a big baby in front of me.
The whole weight has changed.
Like the weight distribution of how I hold myself, my posture.
I'm obviously feeding him a lot.
So I'm like arched over like this.
So there was a lot of tension in my neck on my left side.
I've been having these headaches.
And she could feel all this stuff.
And she's done some treatment today that hopefully is going to help with that.
And we're going to have another check in next week.
And then again for Remy, she noticed that because he lies on his left a lot more,
there's some tension when he moves to one side.
Like it's a lot easier for him to move one way than the other.
And again, she's done some work with that.
She said his tongue tie that he had a procedure on early on is looking really good.
And he said some of his reflux and uncomfortableness after feeding can be all linked.
Yeah.
So it's like all one.
Everything's connected.
And you know it's all connected.
But it's not until someone lays it out for you and you think, oh yeah, of course that's why.
And if he gets straightened out and the tension's released and all these things,
it has the knock-on effect.
Yeah, yeah, it's amazing.
It's very cool.
It's something that I wish we'd done with Koda when he was little.
And if anyone's pregnant now or have got a young child or they need,
or maybe like she said at the end, the reasons that you might sort of,
how can you not let this wedding party go?
They look cool.
They're all dressed up.
That's how everyone should dress all the time.
Yeah.
We'll wear a white T-shirt for the 100th day in a row.
I know.
White T-shirt, black shorts, pea uniform.
It's the George trademark.
Cap, cap on.
We're back.
Yeah.
My dress is so white it's actually giving too bright a look at my face,
so I'm squinting.
The camera doesn't know how to expose the shot.
Yeah, so like she said at the end,
the reasons you might go and see an osteopath for your baby,
if you're listening to this and you're thinking, yeah, that's my baby,
that's what I feel for them, couldn't recommend it more.
So that was Alison at Offington Osteopath.
If you're local to the area, it's near the Thomas Becket traffic lights
and you can check out their website.
We'll leave a link below because, yeah, we really recommend them.
We've all been there now.
I mean Koda's not.
I actually do want to book again after that.
Yeah, you should do.
Yeah, it's definitely something that's worth putting a little bit of money into
and time and potentially like seeing a new version of your child
because if you've got a baby that cries all the time or is uncomfortable,
you then have this like new baby again when you come out
because they've had this treatment and they just feel so much more comfortable.
Just one route you can't go down.
Yeah.
But anyway, now we are going to go and grab Koda from George's parents' house
and get an ice cream on the beach because why not?
It's Friday afternoon.
I'm not getting one though.
You're not?
Back on the health grind.
Don't worry about it.
How many brownies did George eat this week?
You may have noticed how trim I'm looking.
No, honestly, I can't.
If I'm not in the gym, I eat badly or I slip up, shall we say.
No, he eats badly.
Like you're either fully in it or like completely out of it.
We don't buy any ultra-processed foods.
We don't buy crisps.
No, but people have been buying us treats for having a baby.
We don't buy sugary drink.
We've had a couple of very high quality home-baked goods.
That you have eaten within the space of three hours.
Sugar is my downfall.
I don't eat bad quality cheap bread and stuff like that.
No one asked.
No one asked for this video, but we give it to them anyway.
A beautiful day.
I don't feel like I've said that in a vlog for a very, very long time.
But we are having some nice weather here in the UK lately.
Some very nice weather indeed.
Which means it would be rude not to come out down to the beach.
Which is actually that way.
Down, down to the beach.
And Lucy and Koda have spotted the ice cream van.
So they're currently choosing their ice cream.
Just don't take it.
Yeah?
They might have one more, but we might not.
Perfect.
What are you going for, guys?
With flake and sprinkles.
Wow, with the sprinkles?
Wow, mate.
Look at that.
What do we say?
Good boy.
You are lucky.
We have one more Pepsi.
Thank you.
Amazing.
Thanks so much.
Thank you.
Yeah, that's good.
Amazing.
Thanks so much.
Have a good one.
Thank you.
Bye.
Look at that.
A little bit windy, but very nice.
So earlier in the day, Koda actually was playing and he fell off something onto his face.
So he's got a little bit of a cut chin.
We're not going to mention it too much in front of him, but he's doing really well.
Super brave.
He's got his ice cream.
How is it?
Yes, we thought we'd cheer him up with an ice cream.
Mate, I think that's the biggest ice cream you've ever had.
Don't let it fall off his head.
Make sure you eat the wobbly bit as well.
And if you need Daddy to have any, you just let me know, yeah?
Oh, your dress is about to literally go in ice cream.
