Have you ever heard of rocks that move on their own? Or have you ever seen a waterfall that's
red like blood? Or did you know there's a black beach on our planet? In this video,
we'll talk about five of the strangest places and rarest natural phenomena in the world,
some of them still unexplained. One, the sliding rocks. Imagine being in a place filled with rocks,
then returning to the same spot later, and finding that the rocks have changed position
and traveled long distances across the desert. Some of these rocks are so heavy that neither
humans nor animals could move them. This phenomenon occurs in Death Valley, California. At first,
scientists believed the rocks were pushed by the wind when the ground was muddy or wet.
But not all experts accepted this theory. Recently, a team of researchers noticed that one
of the rock trails was actually on top of well-preserved dinosaur footprints dating back
200 million years. Two, Blood Falls. Located between the banks of the frozen Taylor Glacier
in the dry valleys of McMurdo in East Antarctica, Blood Falls were first discovered in 1911.
They were named for their dark red color. Initially, scientists thought the red color
came from a type of algae in the water. But after years of research, this explanation was dismissed.
The real reason is iron oxide formed from chemical reactions between salty water and iron stored in
isolated underground pockets sealed off from air and sunlight for over 5 million years.
Three, The Black Sand Beach. Imagine standing on a beach that's completely black.
Surprisingly, this isn't on another planet. It's right here on Earth, in Iceland. The black color
comes from the island's volcanic history. The beach was formed when lava flows cooled down
after hitting the cold Atlantic Ocean. Over the years, the lava turned into volcanic rocks,
then into tiny black pebbles, forming this unique sand. For the Northern Lights or Aurora,
this strange phenomenon is often seen in areas near the North and South Poles.
It happens when solar winds disturb Earth's magnetic field, creating beautiful waves of
colored lights in the sky. Five, Frozen Methane Bubbles. This amazing sight can be found in Lake
Abraham, Alberta, Canada during winter. It happens when methane gas gets trapped under
the surface of the lake and freezes into layers of bubbles. Methane is highly flammable. If you
