🎶 Music Outro 🎶
Wooo! Good morning!
Good morning everyone!
It's rainy here and miserable and cold.
Yeah, it's been raining for the last three days.
I have sunglasses, but that is just to hide my tired eyes.
Because our kids woke up at 4 o'clock this morning.
Yeah, Tyler was up at 4
and Elena was up alongside her.
It's raining and I don't need these.
Some people are going to look at me funny, but I don't care. I'm so tired.
Yeah, it was a crazy night last night.
Happy January! January 2nd already.
Happy New Year!
It's crazy. And most people are out
starting their New Year's resolutions today.
They're doing things like
Me!
Taking initiative.
Being proactive.
Dieting. Exercising.
And we're going to Chick-fil-A.
Because that
is my New Year's resolution.
That's our resolution. More Chick-fil-A.
Enjoy life.
I don't know. This morning John woke up
and he said, let's go to Chick-fil-A.
And I said, no. We don't need to do that.
And then
the more I sat and thought about other things
that we could make for breakfast
the more I was like, all I could think about
was Chick-fil-A.
It was the inception. I implanted the seed.
Yeah, you incepted my head.
And so, we're going to Chick-fil-A.
We do need to pick up a few things
from the store because we have no groceries
and the girls start preschool again tomorrow.
Thank God.
So we need to get a few things
so that they have lunches
for the week.
Breakfast. And so we can stop eating out.
Because we do need a resolve to do that.
We have 20 minutes.
Oh my gosh. We're not going to make it in time.
John and I
we talked a little bit about resolutions.
We haven't really sat down and had that
what's our resolution? We haven't really thought about it.
But every day I feel like I'm like
that should be our resolution.
And it's funny. What? To not spend money on food?
I don't put a whole lot into resolutions.
Like I'm not like a...
Because unless you follow through
it's just weightless.
And I feel like I have trouble to follow through.
But I feel like if we were to
really sit down and talk about our resolutions
we have like this laundry list of them.
You know what I'm saying?
Becoming morning people.
Today Tyler woke up
at 4 o'clock.
Not that kind of morning people though.
But still it was very hard to deal with.
And then the next thing I knew I was waking up
and it was 8.30. Me and John both.
The past probably what?
6 days? 5 days? We've been like
peeling ourselves out of bed at 8.30.
It seems like every day I cannot
function before then.
Well last night though we did
and the night before we got a lot of laundry done.
We did. But even last night we were in bed before midnight.
I still couldn't peel myself
out of bed before 8.30.
Well I think we were both up a few times
because of the kids so it makes it
interrupts your sleep.
Either way it's been like a week of
every day I try to get up I'm like
okay I wake up at like 6 because I hear
Tyler up or whatever I'm like I'm feeling okay.
Like 5.45 I'm like
I should probably just get up but then I don't
and then I can't I cannot
wake up until 8.30.
But the kids have been waking up
at 5.30.
Which is so early.
Well it's because we've been putting them in the same room I'm not sure if you
know if we've said that but we've been putting
Tyler and Elena
in the same room trying to get Jude
or getting Jude in the blue room
in her own room and then
she loves her own room.
She's doing great not needing that crib anymore.
Right in her big girl bed.
And Adeline is not in her closet she's now in her own room.
Last night was her first time she slept in her
own room.
We need to be able to get up at
like 6 and start our day.
So that's a big one.
That's a big resolution.
Well we have a new resolution to add to our list
and that is we've resolved to
make it to Chick-fil-A in time
for breakfast.
Going forward.
We missed it again.
So kind of our thing.
It's a sad day.
We are finally doing their perler beads and they are so excited.
What did you make?
Tell everybody what you made.
I made
a
An ice cream sandwich.
And we're gonna melt it now.
Here we go are you ready?
Of course.
Okay this part's hot.
Here here's Judy's lollipop
we just made.
It's very nummy to your tummy right?
It's very cold.
It's cold?
No it's cold down.
Oh that's good it's cooled down.
It's not real don't eat it.
Alright ready?
I'm ready to eat it.
It's hot it's hot.
That's a nummy ice cream sandwich.
It's very hot you gotta let it cool down.
Whoa what do you think?
Wow.
How cute.
This one's very hot buddy.
That's a nummy ice cream sandwich.
Cute huh?
I bought these
a long time ago like
last year at some point.
This is a Q&A
for moms and so
it goes through this is a five year journal
and every single day
you can fill in you know the different year
Helena or Judy it's okay
you can fill in
2000 whatever the year
and it has a different question on each day
and so you answer it every day
and then for five different years then you have this record
of look I love seeing my child
blank.
Describe your child's angelic side.
One two.
What was the last time your child was sick?
Blank weather is a challenge because blank.
So it's just random questions but a lot of them
pertaining to motherhood and your children
and so it'll be a really sweet keepsake one day
when they're older. Anyway so
January 1st you can see so
every year on January 1st it's the same question
but you answer it so you change obviously
year to year like this year it says
what's your resolution for your family?
So this year I put intentionality making
our time together meaningful
prioritizing our relationships
and simplifying life so we can focus on each other.
That is my resolution for this year for our family.
So some things about me some things about the kids
I'm really excited about this.
Q&A a day for moms.
I feel like I got it on Amazon
although I think they sell this one
at Target.
So then I also bought our
Q&A and this one's for me and John
and so on every day
January 1st
love is blank and then it has
black lines and red lines so you and your
spouse fill out every day
and this one does three years
so it'll be nice to see how
our relationship changes, how our views change over the next
three years. And then this one is a
Q&A a day for kids
and it is three years
365 questions all to
ask your kids. They have questions
like the first one says write your
name so you can see how your child's handwriting
probably changes. What are you
excited about? Do you
believe in aliens?
Do you like
your name?
Is there another name you'd rather
have? So it's all kinds of different questions
and again three years so you can see how
your kid changes and these are going to be really sweet
keepsakes. I want to get one for all the girls
that they can have when they grow up.
So I'm really excited about these. I'm about
to go get Tyler and have her come down and do page
one. I just have to keep them down here
because I know if they're out of sight
I will forget and
I really want to make sure we are committed to
filling out these every single day.
It's so easy and simple.
Now when we have five kids filling them out
it won't be so easy but you get the point.
Well,
it's 9.30. The kids are in bed
and we are
settling down. We just had our
friends Rob and Janine over
and so the kids played
we put them down. They went to
sleep actually really well. I wish we had the video.
We'll have to post it later of Jude and
William singing on the
couch while William's dancing
and Jude's singing and it was really really cute.
But it's good to see
I feel like we haven't seen our friends for a while.
We've kind of been just busy. December
was really busy but now
things are winding down. January
has got lots of promise
lots more free time
and I'm excited.
I'm also excited to go snug up
and go to bed. Yeah, I know. I'm tired too.
Last night was crazy.
And Tyler woke up at 4 o'clock this morning.
Yeah, so. Alright guys.
