Here he is, the man himself, Big M Mcduff.
It's good to hang out and it's good to be here.
And honestly, I'm kind of scared.
The jumps are huge.
Haji's house is insane.
It is, eh?
It's no joke.
Like, you guys have probably saw the content, like, from last year and watching all the
videos, but like I'm telling you, in real life, it's way crazier.
Right, the jumps look even better than last year.
And like Matt said, in real life, even bigger than what they look online, which is kind
of always the case.
So, we're pretty nervous.
We're going to pad up.
We're going to go tackle it together.
We're going to warm up nice and slowly.
Loads of people shredding out here already.
Let's give it a go.
Eggman, couple laps.
How's it going?
Dude, I did another tailwhip.
Sick!
On the trail rig.
Mate, tailwhips on the trail rig are hot right now.
I'm going to come join you later.
Yeah, let's do it.
Let's do it.
Sick.
Dad laps?
Dad laps, dad tailwhips.
Yeah, let's do it.
See you out there.
Let's do this first little bit to the step-up.
Maybe to the left hip.
Woo-hoo!
Kind of crazy steep here.
Woo-hoo!
Oh, the little fly out's cool, man.
Let's do a couple laps on that.
First trick of the day.
Should we try and make it a little further down?
Yeah.
Backyard battle.
Matt McDuff, where's he going to go?
Whoa!
Oh, got to catch up.
He's gone right.
To the left.
Coming.
Ha-ha!
Yes!
Ha-ha!
Yes!
Woo!
Oh, that was sick.
It was so sick to see you go off and come back in.
You need to know where you're going, though.
This bit's scary here, down the bottom.
Oh, they've made them all different lengths as well, so we can all ride up next to each other.
These guys are smart, eh?
This is meant.
Thank you, driver.
Oh, yeah, I want to go down and lap the last jump, actually.
Up the steps.
All the braking in the right-hander berm.
Okay.
Then ride the left-hander, like, nice and chill.
Okay.
And then you go, and then, like, by then you know it's fine.
Are you, like, blasting it back here or anything on that jump?
I should be aware of.
Oh, I'll just ride them.
But I don't know, maybe.
You probably don't.
I literally don't know.
Oh, that jump is so sick.
Whoa.
What a bonkers line, man.
What a completely bonkers line.
Your instructions were perfect.
Just do the braking and hang out and wait.
Yeah, you know what I mean?
You, like, relax.
Yeah, yeah.
That one's sick.
I went miles.
Did you?
Was looking down at Macduff with one foot off, like, hmm, is he going to crash?
Huge death.
Oh, my brake.
Oh, no.
Oh, my God.
You're right.
That's actually what happened.
I didn't put the bars the right way around.
Okay, quick lesson there.
Make sure your bars are the right way around when you try and do a tailwhip.
Because if they're not, that happens.
How did it went?
I forgot to do the tailwhip.
Oh, no way.
I forgot it, so I kicked it and it went boosh.
And I died.
Did it work out or?
No, it did not.
Always wind your brake around.
Otherwise, when you tie a tailwhip, it pulls it out and explodes.
Now I've got no brakes, which actually makes the course impossible to ride,
except from here.
So I just want to try another tailwhip, see if I can get it.
And then I'm going to have to go fix this bike.
There's no way to ride the course.
You have to brake too much for every line.
So this is the only thing I can hit.
So hopefully it goes better than that.
Oh, ho, ho.
That was a bit better.
Oh, there we go.
Well, unfortunately, that's the end of the day, I'd say.
Day two out here, backyard battle.
My bike is fixed.
We're ready to go.
And there's no uplifts going on early this morning.
So me and McDuff come down to do a little bit of fun on the wood chip.
See if we can get some sick shots on the X5.
Maybe a bit of slow-mo.
Try to get right up in there.
Yeah, fun little morning.
Yesterday was awesome.
And today, some more of the same.
Right, I'm going to go for a risky one.
I'm going to just throw the camera up in the air over him.
I don't know what it's going to look like.
It might look terrible.
It might look cool.
Let's try.
Oh, yeah.
Yes.
Oh, perfect.
Yes.
Right, a couple tricks down.
Time to head over to the big line, I think.
I'm going to try this new camera setup.
Instead of the chesty, which gets a lot of the arms in the way,
I'm going to try this.
McDuff style, actually, with the X5.
Up on top of the head.
Still learning these new cameras.
Finding out what's best.
So, yeah, let's give that one a go.
Literally, how annoyingly, I was just so excited to go in through that first.
It started pouring with rain.
Let's see if that's the end of the day.
Hopefully not, but if it is, that was sick.
