Every single year this happens and it makes me go crazy! Christmas, Christmas, Christmas! I mean, it's a great holiday and we love to celebrate it, but before Halloween is way too soon. Well at least we got to enjoy most of our date without the kids!
Hello! Good morning everybody.
We are at the mall, which you can probably tell.
Obviously.
So the kids are all at preschool today, except Adeline. She's with us.
Say hi!
She's so happy.
Say hi!
We decided to go on a date this morning.
It's a mini date. We've got three babysitters.
One baby is like a date for us.
And we were going to go to the fair, but I forgot the girls had a delayed preschool.
Because of the flooding and stuff.
So they were on a 30 minute delay today.
Which...
Yeah.
Then I had to come pick John back up.
So it would have left us with like an hour, maybe, at the fair.
And you have to pay to get in and pay to park.
So we thought, you know what, let's just do something else.
So we came to the mall because John went to breakfast.
And, I don't know, it's just good to walk around, I guess.
I'm not sure. I guess we're window shopping mostly.
Anyway, so we're going to spend a little time together this morning.
And then I guess we've got to pick up the girls.
Write out a plan for our parody later.
And...
I guess we need to film a Q&A.
We've got a lot of questions.
So we might have to break it down into one or two different videos.
Just for the sake of keeping them shorter.
But we will do that, hopefully.
Maybe later.
We've got a lot of ideas in our mindset.
We're not putting them out on video.
Alright, I'm going to let John finish his breakfast.
And then we're going to go find something to do.
So here's the good thing about coming to the mall or anywhere with no kids.
I saw Cinnabon over here.
Through this kiosk here.
There's Cinnabon.
I was just thinking, I could get a Cinnabon.
And I don't have to share it with anyone.
I don't have to worry about kids begging me for it or anything.
Anyways, that's just a plus.
Today I can just think, I can get that.
I can eat it. It'll be great.
So if you're a parent, you already know that.
But I'm just stating the obvious here.
I'm picking Danielle out some jewelry.
Just kidding.
She has a loose stone in her diamond.
In her ring.
She has a loose diamond stone in her ring.
I can't talk. I don't know how to say things.
Words don't come natural to me anymore.
Naturally.
Naturally. They don't come naturally.
Yes, my big, my middle stone is loose.
So I'm going to see if they can fix it.
There's a kitty.
Are you a kitty?
Up here.
There's Danielle spending all my money again.
Oh, I'm sure you do.
We're in Madewell, everybody.
This store is pretty pricey, so...
How much are they? Tell me.
Tell the world. Let everybody know.
No, because if I get them for Christmas...
You're not getting them for Christmas.
Why are you so rude?
I'm not being rude.
She may be getting maternity clothes.
We just went to Madewell.
And that store is so expensive.
But the clothes are nice.
I'll give you that.
$80 for a shirt.
It's like my Christmas store.
John gives me one Christmas sweater from there.
You get one item.
It's my favorite sweater, and I wear it all the time.
That's true. She does wear it a lot in the fall.
Oh, we're going to go to Halloween Alley.
Halloween Alley.
Let's go get some Halloween costumes.
I don't want to spend money on costumes
that only work one time.
I'll wear it forever.
I vow to wear it for a week straight.
Madewell is like the store that
when you walk into the gat and see a $50 shirt,
you're like, wow, that's very reasonably priced.
Okay, well look.
This shirt I have is from LuLaRoe,
which I like. It's comfortable.
Yeah, get those shirts.
But I paid $40 for it.
That's what I'm saying.
It's not like...
It is a lot.
But if you only have 10 shirts that you wear
in their quality,
they'll last you.
Because right now, I go
and I'll buy a bunch of cheap clothes
and they end up in the closet either shrinking
and they don't fit anymore
or I just don't love it.
That's true. That's all my clothes.
They never fit after I wash them once, maybe twice.
When you buy nice clothes, they fit
and they last.
This is a hood and I feel like that's why.
You look like Little Red Riding Hood, but just with
gray.
Look at you, Little Red Riding Hood.
Little red. Little gray.
It's really comfy, but I look like
a goofball. Yeah, you look like a total goofball.
You look like you're going to some kind of...
You look like you're trying to hide from the government in that thing.
You guys can't feel it.
Feels good.
Look at that one.
Is that so fun?
Yeah.
Yeah?
Yeah.
Is that the best thing ever? It is the best.
The elevator was broken.
Well, it's not.
Doing a dance party to you?
I don't know.
He's like,
give me that cookie.
Give me that cookie.
It's all mine.
Thank you.
Is it fun, Addy?
Are you dancing?
That smile is so funny.
This is why we like having
Adelyn on our dates because
she is super sweet.
A form of entertainment.
And so it begins.
The Christmas decorating at
Crabtree.
It is too soon for Christmas time.
It's not even Halloween yet.
You guys, go back to
John's Christmas time party
and share that thing.
Let's share that thing.
People need to know this year.
Hickory Farms holiday
market is already set up.
Never too soon for Hickory Farms though.
Where are we going?
I don't know.
Take me where you want to go.
Good grief. Would you look at this?
Would you just look at it?
What's today's date? October 18th?
Golly.
Come on, people.
Savor the moments.
You can't make a whole
three month, four month
process of this thing.
I'm not going to lie.
I don't mind.
It's so warm.
It doesn't feel like Christmas though.
No, that's what I'm saying.
If it felt like Christmas, I'm like, yeah, let's do it.
If I lived in
Antarctica,
I'd be like Christmas all year
long.
I know, you're right.
I feel so bad for them.
It's not the food that makes the Christmas.
It's the spirit.
You tell that to Santa Claus who lives at the North Pole.
That's just so no one can find us.
It's like a place that doesn't exist.
It doesn't exist.
Who is he talking to?
Is he talking to you?
She doesn't have blue eyes.
Neither do I.
You have kind of blue eyes.
They could be mistaken for blue eyes.
Maybe he just assumed hers are blue because she's a baby.
Let me see. Hey, baby. Hey, baby kid.
Nope, not even close.
That guy just hit on Danielle
right in front of me.
He didn't even care I was standing here.
He sees you in my own world.
He sees him in my own world?
He's like, she needs a good man,
not a little wimp like that.
Alright, guys, we are leaving the mall.
We gotta go get the kids. It's 1230.
They gotta be picked up by 1.
We're like 30 minutes away.
Luckily, at 1,
there's usually still a little line.
Yeah, it's very true.
I wish they would have extended the day because
they had that 30 minute delay.
I wish they would have like...
They should have given us that 30 minutes.
Extended it because it's pre-school.
It's not like a full school day,
but I guess the teachers have to get home
because their kids get off school.
Maybe.
That's actually why there was a delay.
The county we live in, all the schools are still closed
because half of them still had
major flooding. So they were closed yesterday
and they had a delay today.
So the teachers had to...
Some of the teachers
have kids and they had to wait to get to school.
So that's why our kids had a delay.
Danielle,
that's you, dog.
Gosh.
Just kidding.
That lady had 30 kids.
It wasn't 30, but it was like 20.
So we're doing a fun video today.
I'm gonna post it here
probably tomorrow
or sometime.
I'm not gonna do it on the vlog.
I want this to be a special
separate video.
So we're setting up here.
This is something for the kids
for them to enjoy and for us to enjoy too.
It involves Danielle
in that window.
We're about to get this going.
So we just shot a fun little video.
I thought it was fun, but some of the people
around here didn't think it was as fun.
Danielle,
the pumpkin
tosser extraordinaire,
we'll let you see
what the video is, but here's a little bit
of what you might see in it.
Guys, good night.
Thanks for being with us on our day
and for hanging out with us.
And we hope you like this little video.
And now, bye.
I'm going to clean up.
See you guys.
Hey, thanks for watching.
