I was telling you the story of Ereya, the first son of Pulakeshi.
A little recap.
Ereya's father, Keerthi Varma.
Ereya was very young when he passed away.
So, Ereya's uncle, Mangalesha, decided to rule the kingdom.
Ereya's father, Mangalesha, accepted Ereya's request.
Not only that, when Ereya grew up, he agreed to show the kingdom to Hastinapura.
But, after 12 years of ruling the kingdom,
Ereya's father had a doubt in his heart.
Why should I leave the kingdom to Ereya?
I have been leading the kingdom for so many years.
Will I lead the kingdom in the future?
Or will I give the kingdom to my son?
Mangalesha thought of killing Ereya.
But, Ereya didn't want to do that.
Because, Ereya was Ereya's younger brother.
So, Ereya didn't want to kill Ereya.
Instead, Ereya wanted to give the kingdom to his son.
So, Ereya decided to give the kingdom to his son.
But, Ereya's uncle, Vishnu Gopabhattar, who was with Keerthi Varma,
told Ereya's mother about this.
Ereya's mother told Ereya that Mangalesha was doing this.
Ereya's mother called Ereya's son and told him that
there was no other way to fight the war.
Ereya's son was also preparing the army.
Many people joined hands with Ereya.
The preparation for the war was going on in Bhanavadi.
Ereya was 23 years old then.
Many people who were training for the war,
joined hands with Ereya.
They were waiting for Ereya to fight the war.
Finally, Ereya sent a message to Mangalesha.
Ereya had to give up the kingdom and throne that he wanted.
So, Ereya was preparing for the war in a place called Elapattu Simbi.
Mangalesha was laughing at Ereya.
He asked Ereya why he was fighting against him.
He asked Ereya how much his army was and how much his army was.
But, Mangalesha didn't know one thing.
Many people in his army knew that Ereya wanted to join the war.
So, Ereya didn't want to fight the war.
Ereya didn't want to fight the war.
He didn't know that many people joined hands with Ereya.
He didn't know if he was doing the right thing.
Another thing is, Ereya's army.
Ereya always encouraged them.
We believe in the environment.
We believe in the rule of the Chalukya kingdom.
We should unite the Karnataka kingdom.
We need your help for that.
Ereya's army was joined by Tave.
So, they had more courage and courage.
They wanted to win the war.
At the beginning of the war, Mangalesha sent some soldiers to his kingdom.
He asked them to go and fight the war.
But, Ereya's soldiers were fooled by some special tactics.
Then, Mangalesha came to the battlefield.
Ereya was sad that he had to fight against his younger father.
But, he didn't want to give up his childhood dream of uniting the Karnataka kingdom.
Because, he had been watching the war since his childhood.
The people of Karnataka kingdom had been to many places.
From the Kerala kingdom on the west coast to Gujarat,
Then, to the Kalinga kingdom in the east,
Then, to the river Narmada in the north,
Then, to the river Kaveri in the south.
The people of Karnataka kingdom had been to all these places.
When Ereya realized that the people of Karnataka had been to all these places,
Mahadasa, who wanted to unite the Karnataka kingdom and the Karnataka kingdom,
Ereya was thinking about what he had done since his childhood.
It was almost time for him to die.
He wanted to win the war against his younger father.
Mahishamandala, Konkana and Madhyabharata.
Ereya, who had seen the dream of a vast Karnataka kingdom,
defeated his younger father.
Mangalesha died in the battlefield.
Ereya took the body of his younger father, Mangalesha,
and united his army of 100 to the army of Chalukya.
Ereya returned to Vatapi.
Ereya also gave the last rites to Mangalesha with royal honors.
In the year 609 AD,
Ereya was given the title of Immadi Pulakeshi.
Immadi Pulakeshi was the name given by his mother Siriyabbesu.
There was a belief at that time that
any person's wonderful qualities will come to another level.
So, his grandfather, the first Pulakeshi,
decided to give the title of Immadi Pulakeshi
to his son, as he was the king of the entire Chalukya dynasty.
But, the reason for this was that
it was easy to identify them in their royal titles,
royal traditions and customs.
Hence, the name Immadi was given after Pulakeshi.
This is the story of Ereya Immadi Pulakeshi.
