Jon has made up this weekend by letting me sleep in peacefully and bringing me breakfast in bed! We had a birthday party to go to Saturday and another one on Sunday so the kids were told they couldn't have cake both days. Tyler overheard that I was taking a piece home for myself and she heard me say "not to let the kids know".. I can't believe she is old enough already to realize what we are talking about! She definitely didn't like that - we missed her reaction on video but recapped it ;)
Hope everyone had a sweet Memorial Day, we remember and honor the veterans who have lost their lives in service of our country and the families they have left behind!
So today's Memorial Day, it's a time for us to reflect upon those who have died in service.
And for me in particular, it just reminds me of my grandfather.
He was in World War II.
He passed away when I was 12.
He didn't die in the war, but I remember we actually lived with him for a couple of years,
about a year or so, and I wake up to hearing him having nightmares, calling out one of
his friend's name who literally died in his arms.
So that's just kind of the sacrifice that those people have made.
And even if people didn't die in war, you know, they saw it first hand, it just seemed
just crazy stuff.
We can't even imagine.
So we thank those people that have fallen and given their lives so that we can be free
in this country.
So we're taking the girls to Chick-fil-A, or at least we're just going to go to the
drive-thru today.
They're excited.
I was trying to get them out of the house.
Danielle's still sleeping.
It's like 7.30.
So I was just trying to get them out because they're being loud and crazy, and Elena's
being grumpy.
So I wanted to take them just on a ride.
They like to just go for rides and also to eat.
So we're going to grab some Chick-fil-A.
It's like a 20-minute drive to Chick-fil-A.
We need to go to Chick-fil-A.
Chick-fil-A.
You need to watch this.
And then you need to put Chick-fil-A right down the road from us because I want to eat
Chick-fil-A all the time.
Mom, Dad!
Yes, ma'am?
He's going to the wake-up.
Yeah, I know.
We're going.
You ready to go?
I'll go.
Okay.
You ready to go too, G?
Mm-hmm.
Okay.
He's going to do it.
I'm not.
I'm so excited.
So is Francis and me.
Yeah, we have Francis with us.
Tyler and Francis are ready to go.
Uh-huh, but he has to come in to watch them all because he was dying.
Okay, we're not going to go in, but we're just going to go through the drive-thru, remember?
And we're going to eat it outside like a picnic.
No.
All right, here we go.
You guys ready?
Let's go.
So we just got back from Chick-fil-A.
I'm getting you some.
Go get outside.
I'm letting the kids eat outside, get their biscuits outside.
Whoa, careful, careful.
So you're okay.
Go on, buddy.
Let them have a little picnic out there.
That's what they said they wanted to do, have a picnic.
So there they are having a picnic.
It's the little things, you know?
You say yes to the things that you can say yes to, and that's one of them.
There's no reason why they can't just go eat outside.
What are you doing?
I'm going to get you juice.
Go outside and bring your juice.
Okay.
Careful.
She's cute.
I will say Chick-fil-A has the best chicken biscuits.
That's why I like going there.
That's why I don't mind driving 20 minutes.
There's other places that we can go to eat for breakfast, but they don't have chicken
biscuits like this.
Chick-fil-A nails it every time.
I don't know, buddy.
No, please help me find it.
Not the music one.
No.
Where am I?
So I have no idea where Tyler is.
She's in here somewhere, and I can't find her.
I've been looking all over the place for her.
We're not even playing hide and seek, but apparently we're playing hide and seek.
So we're going to see if we can find her because there's so many places she could be in this
house.
This house doesn't feel humongous until I'm trying to find one of the kids, and then it
becomes a mansion with, like, 1 million rooms, you know.
Francis, where's Tyler?
Where'd you come from?
Where have you been?
Under the bed.
What?
Under the bed playing Mommy's phone, but she didn't want to play it.
It doesn't make any sense.
How's it going, everybody?
So we are at our friend David and Abby's house.
We were here not too long ago for a birthday party.
We're here again for a birthday party.
It's a triple birthday bash.
The triple bro bash something.
They're triplets.
So this is an adult birthday party.
Want me to do it?
Do it again?
Check this out.
Hold it.
Hold the balloon.
No, the balloon.
Yeah, there you go.
Good.
Cool pants, bro.
You want to tie it?
Oh yeah, speedy girl.
I was just telling everybody that we were at the adult party, but it turns out it's
just a kid party with adults that are here.
You are the coolest with the coolest hat.
Let me see that cool hat.
Hey, William.
Let me see that cool hat.
Dude, so cool.
William, you have a cool hat too and a sweet tank top.
That's totally an outfit I would want to rock.
Cute kid.
Too cute.
Y'all are cute kids too.
Don't worry.
Here's what Danielle eats whenever we have cookouts or go to cookouts.
Morningstar burgers.
Those are actually pretty good.
The roasted garlic and quinoa.
Good.
It's actually pretty good.
Without beef.
If it had beef in it, it would be better.
Much better.
For bison.
Oh yeah.
Hey, happy birthday.
Thanks.
On Tuesday.
Yeah.
Sorry about that.
You don't look like you're looking at me.
I am.
I'm just putting you.
It's like.
You're just putting me off to the side.
Yeah, off to the side because it's like.
Well, not really.
It's just because if I have over here, you look dark.
And then actually, you look bright.
Actually, it's better right here.
Now, now, happy birthday to you, sir.
See, gotta do retakes.
Retake.
Cut.
Uh oh.
Uh huh.
What are you saying?
Did Judy do something?
Judy, what did you do?
I think it's ready.
I mean, you can still see the bottom.
Just leave it down, buddy.
Thank you.
You'll be able to get in very, very soon.
It's one of those where somebody has to step in it and they go.
And then the whole thing goes.
Look at these yummy burgers.
William.
Look at him freezing his hands.
I don't know if you'll like that one.
All right, Judy, you want to eat from over here?
What's in the Garden of Eden?
Um, caramelized onions, sweet sauce, and.
Don't tell John what's in there.
I don't remember.
I don't know.
I didn't think of it.
Oh, never mind then.
Apples.
There you go.
Apples?
Yeah, he's like.
Let me get that burger.
Hold on, lady.
Lady.
I was about to say ladies, but.
Judy.
Jud.
Oh, we had a lot of fun here.
I got creamed egg corn hole.
And Janine just pointed out creamed corn hole.
Anyways, it was fun.
Thanks for hanging out with us, guys.
Or letting us come hang out with you.
Not you, Rob.
Get out of the shot.
You're always in the shot, Rob.
Say bye.
This is who we really care about.
Say bye.
I know, it's always the kids.
Can you say bye?
Come on, man.
Say bye.
I'll wait here for 15 minutes if I have to.
Bye.
He's like, get that away from me.
What does the dog say?
Hey, happy birthday, guys.
Just do it in post.
Yeah, in post.
I'll make his arm move.
Yes.
Look at that beard.
Yeah, she said, don't tell the kids.
And Tyler heard that.
And gave her an angry face.
And then said...
I'm like, go for it, you know.
I'm the go for it dad.
Like, let's just try it.
Let's just see what happens.
That's because you leave and go to work.
And then I'm like, these kids are really good.
I think that kid's mom could put that together.
She does?
Yeah.
Exactly.
It usually goes well, I think.
I don't know.
John, I'm waiting on you.
Oh, you're waiting on me.
She's waiting on me.
See you later, guys.
We made it.
It is 8.56.
And we just got home.
Got all the kids in bed.
Tyler's not sleeping yet.
But her and Frances are snuggling for a little bit.
I told her she could lay with him until she falls asleep.
And then we could let him out.
She's having trouble falling asleep lately.
She said she's scared.
So we've cut out TV just in case that's instilling some of that.
She likes Ninja Turtles and those action shows.
And it might just be too much.
So, yeah.
So I let her sleep.
But Frances, John is occupying Adeline for a minute until I can feed her.
I just wanted to check in with you guys because he vlogged most of the day.
And I really didn't pick up the camera much.
And then I was busy while we were at the party getting food for the girls.
And just doing, being a mom.
I don't know.
I can't turn it off.
It doesn't matter.
I can't turn it off.
So I was helping Abby get things ready for the food and everything like that.
So we had a good time, right?
It was fun.
I think it was fun.
So thank you Abby and David.
We loved that you had us over.
It was a great time.
Abby, you did a really great job.
All the burgers looked really good.
And eat them, obviously.
Thank you.
Big thank you to John for, do you guys not see this?
Do you see how clean, like, how clean it is?
Yeah, there he is.
I mean, he cleaned up this table in here.
He cleaned up in here.
He cleaned up the car.
He's really been helping me get the house to, like, a slight baseline where I can maybe start keeping up with it.
It's just, it piled up.
So, anyway.
The point is, thank you to John.
And I love you.
I love you.
Well, I love you too.
I was just saying, you know, it's, it's, well, I was thinking.
It's nice to clean the house and then leave and then come home and it's still clean.
Oh my gosh.
It's hard for me.
Like, I just, I just want to get it to a level of, like, okay, it's clean.
Like, now we can keep up and do a load of laundry a day or whatever.
But we fell behind to the point where, like, I couldn't do anything.
Because as soon as I would turn around or I'd clean upstairs and come down and, like, he'd be watching the kids.
But then they would have made, like, this mess that takes so long.
Anyway, it's just been overwhelming to me with everything else going on.
And John's been really busy.
So, I've been trying to, like, do more with the vlogs.
So, I just haven't been able to clean.
So, I'm so glad that he helped with that.
It means a lot.
That's, like, my love language right there.
Helping me clean my house.
All right.
I'm going to go feed Adelyn.
Hope you guys have a good night.
So, yeah, we love you and we'll see you later.
See ya.
