Most INSANE Filipino Mall! Best Place To Celebrate Holy Week?

First impressions. Wow. We were just saying, I think this is our favourite moment in the world. Before we start this video, we wanted to tell you guys we've got a meet up at BGC High Street near Max's restaurant on the 22nd, so that's Monday evening at 7.30pm, and we hope to see some of you there. Manila's still quiet, quiet enough. I think things are opening, the jeepney's back on the road, but there's still not a lot of traffic. We're going straight, right? Straight right? Straight left? Straight. Oh dear. That was not me, by the way. That was that guy. So, I think people are still out of the city, people are back in the provinces, back in their home towns, still for the Easter break, but we need to drop Waggie back sadly today, but it does mean we can drive ourselves to BGC, which is nice. We're going to head to Sonny's for breakfast. We love Sonny's, it's one of our favourite places, but guys, please let us know if you have been to the area, if you know the area, are there any other great breakfast spots? Please let us know. So, we're heading to Sonny's because, I don't know, I feel like I edit really easily and well in Sonny's, because it's so bright. We love how bright it is. So sunny. The Wi-Fi on the high street is so, so fast for us to upload our videos on, which is great. Sorry, I can't talk. Same. In our throats this morning, we think when we went back into our room today, it smelt like cigarettes, even though it's a no smoking thing, there's like cigarette smoke coming through the vents. Yeah, through the air con. And then when you're in your room, you get used to it and then you're breathing it in all night and we've both got really sore throats this morning, which isn't good, but it's fine. Good to be back in the fresh air of Manila traffic, but it's not too bad. The air feels fairly clean here, doesn't it? Because I think, because he's had a bit of a break and there's been less cars here. Okay, it's not that turning, it's the next one. Next left. Yeah, so if you can get into the left. Oh, you are in the left lane. Perfect. Yeah. So we love how bright it is. If you've got any recommendations of somewhere bright, somewhere comfy with plugs and possibly on the high street, BGC high street, because of the wifi being so quick there, that'd be absolutely perfect. Good food, good comfy. We're not asking for much, are we? We've only got like a 12 point checklist. Just the basic needs, you know, super high speed internet. We got everything we need right here. Mike and Nelly. Everything good in the back? Guys? Breakfast was good. A quick stop before heading to the mall today, picking up our shoes, which have been cleaned by these guys. Look how white these are. This is exactly like they were when I bought them. Thank you guys. So we're going now to a mall that is pretty amazing looking from what we saw on Mike and Nelly's video the other day here. They went without us because we had, what were we doing? I can't remember. We had something to do and we couldn't go with them. We were a little bit jealous because it just looked absolutely amazing and unlike anything I've seen here before. So we're going to head there now. I think it's called Venice Grand Mall and it's got like an actual river going through it, like an actual Venice. You've been to Venice. I've never been to Venice. You've never been to Venice? No. But I've seen one of these in my car. I've got to take you to Venice. Comment below if you think I should take Lucy to Venice. Sounds good. But instead we can just go here because it's around the corner. It's a bit closer than Venice isn't it? That is a lot easier actually. Good plan. We've got a few bits to get in the mall today. Our crab driver is almost here. We're looking for a tour de villas in green. And yeah, we're going to head to the mall, get a few bits and actually explore a little bit and show you guys around. I really don't feel like I'm in the city. This is crazy. We haven't been to, no, this is an area. It's like Perth isn't it? Yeah, an area called McKinley. McKinley, I think that's how you say it. This is really cool. We've just come in. The water, it's like such a light pool. This is so cool. How is this a shopping mall? This is so cool. This is why I'm in a gondola with people in there. We should do that, shouldn't we? Oh, we have to do this. Wow. Oh, look, aeroplane, aeroplane, aeroplane. This is amazing. Look at all these people chilling out along here. I never knew, I didn't expect it. I knew there was a canal here. We didn't expect it to be like this cool with all the shops along the side. It's like, and it is actually outdoors. I thought, I thought the canal would be indoors, but it is all properly like, oh, this is so cool. They seem to have shops in as well. It's not just food, right? Yeah, there's loads. We have a few things to buy. There's loads here. And there is a cinema. We're thinking of going to the cinema today, watching a film. All right. Ready to explore? Yeah. We've got a bit of a shopping list, haven't we? So we've been to malls in London. We've been in Cebu, Manila, Bohol, Davao, Iloilo. We haven't been in Boracay. We never went. Baguio, Batangas, like everywhere we go, we've been to shopping malls. But I've never seen one like this. Very different. So walking around here, we're definitely getting the vibe that this place is a bit more higher end. Some of the shops are a little bit more like, designery looking, or a little bit more expensive. But it is packed. Everyone seems to be here. It is... What day is it? It's Saturday. So it's Easter Sunday tomorrow. So people are still off work, on holiday. So George and I are solid iPhone users. Have been for years. However, they're kind of annoying us a lot. The battery dies very quickly. And at the moment, I'm not seeing a huge benefit from having an iPhone. So we've just come in here looking at the new Galaxy S10 Plus. Might be an option. It looks nice. The screen's just huge. We're just playing our vlog, of course. To test out what it looks like. And it wraps around the whole screen. Look at that. And also, it can go all the way to the edge. Looks good. I don't know. But I'm not convinced on the camera, so we'll see. Do you think I fit? Yeah. It's such a nice little setting here. We were just saying, I think this is our favourite mall in the world. It's my favourite I've ever been to. Yeah. This is a great mall. It's so nice. And doing this means that we're going to be able to suss out how it looks, how big it is before we go and look around the shops. We literally get to have a little tour. Look from the water. It's so beautiful. I should have worn my shirt. I've got a t-shirt. And I've got a shirt. I have the best shirt the same at home. But I should have worn it today. And this ride only costs 400 pesos per person. We did pay for four tickets so we could get our own boat because it's a minimum of four per boat. And the reason we did that is because we didn't want to annoy other people on here trying to relax and we're like vlogging and taking photos. Like stopping sides and moving around. so we thought we'd get our own boat and stay out of people's way. So the guys here that actually ride or row the gondolas, they work super hard because there's no engine or anything, it's purely them just like rowing you along. It's quite a long little trip, it's crazy. Magic, if they were speedboats. Yeah, that'd be a bit quicker. So you go to the end, you turn around, you come back, and then you go around this sort of like, I'd call it a roundabout, there's a restaurant inside it by the looks of things, but it's so nice going under all the little bridges, and he also sings as well, which is nice. Yes, and then when they pass each other, they harmonise a song that they're singing, it's so sweet. Uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh, uh-oh. That's so funny. So this guy, when Mike and Nellie came here the other day, just by chance, it was the same person. Exactly the same, he was like, do you have a YouTube channel? Yeah, oh, I had a vlogger here the other day, his name was Mike. From Austria. Yeah, classic. How funny. Thank you so much. It's time to get a haircut, there is a barber's in this mall. If it's like anywhere else I've been for a haircut in the Philippines, it'll hopefully be on the lower side of the price. Lower side of the price, that's not really good English, is it? When George was in a haircut, I got some bits, and I'll do a little haul at the restaurant. Which one do you want to eat, Italian or Indian? I'm craving both. You choose. So we decided on the Indian, and we actually just met someone who watches our vlogs who knows the owner of this place, and I just met the owner and stuff, which is pretty cool. Lucy's now going to show me what she went off to buy in the shop when I was having my haircut. It's quite exciting. Is it though? Because you told me we were just buying shampoo and boring stuff. Okay, shut your eyes and put your hand out, and I'll do one at a time, okay? You're cheating. Eyes are closed. I really hope this... Why have you got a pencil sharpener? Why do we need this? Yeah, and two thirds of the stuff in it are George's. We don't need this stuff cluttering. I'm bored of my current nail varnishes, so I'm going to bin them, because they're all gloopy and horrible, and replace them with these two new ones, because I like these. And this, this is from Minnesota, Japan. They dry so quickly. So when we're on the road, I can go... Be nice. Okay, I do need this. This is face wash. We love face wash. I noticed I was getting bumpy skin for some reason, so I do need that. What else? Okay, I saw it already. Shampoo. We're not endorsing any of these brands, by the way. We usually just choose what is on offer at the time. I've actually also... Interesting fact that isn't that interesting. I've stopped shampooing my hair. Ew. And it sounds weird, but... It's a good thing. After three or four days, you have such nice hair. It doesn't get greasy after a few days. You still wash it? This hasn't been shampooed. He still puts his head under water and washes it every day. I still rinse it through thoroughly with hot water and then cold water. Yeah. But it doesn't feel greasy. It's nice and dry, but it just sits into place better. You just washed it? It's better quality. No, I haven't washed it today. You didn't wash it ago? Nope. Oh, fair enough. Just cut it. All right. I don't know what it is. It's just like a feeling. It's still too sweet at night. And it's like, oh, I feel a bit sick. Got some like food in my throat. Nice. These babies fix that problem. So I don't... Like once a month, I need one of these for some reason. Show your eyes. This better be food. The last thing, please. Yes, you found... Oh, these are nice. So, basically... I want this one. Yeah, good. That's you. So these are new... I've been looking for water bottles for a long time. The one I was using, Nelly's old one, kind of got a bit smelly. So I've stopped using that. Then I got the glass ones from Ocean's Edge. Dropped one on an airport runway and it smashed to pieces. So I don't want that because if I drop it back and it smashes, it's dangerous. Yeah. This one is glass, so it won't get smelly. Oh, satisfying. What's that? Sorry. It's rubber. So if you drop it, it shouldn't be too bad. And instead of having to screw it off each time you want to drink and use two hands, you can just be like, I'm thirsty. Genius. That is good. We are trying very hard to reduce our plastic use. And these cost £299 each, which I think is pretty good. Amazing. It's like £4 each. So then when we're in cafes and restaurants, we can just ask them to fill these up. We don't even have to buy plastic water bottles. Which we were doing already. Yeah. But this is just running around. Better. Then, I've got some little clips. And these are just from, there's little market stall type things up there. I'm loving the fashion trend that I am. Where people put two clips here. Or one each side. So you'll see it in an upcoming video. I could do that. I'll know it's my new hair. There's no hair here now. Bye guys. But I feel like in the Philippines, often spicy is not that spicy. So I'm more like, big headed like, yeah, yeah, spice is great. Really spicy. Yeah. Blowing my head off. It's so good. I love spicy food. It really clears me. I love having the feeling of eating spicy food. The taste is absolutely amazing. Onion and garlic is great. Got some naan bread here and some rice on the way. It's really good. Very happy. Look at this place in the evening. This is even nicer. So nice. Alright guys. We had a very nice meal. But what was more nice was the staff in there.
