Jude, Jude, Judey. She is on the go constantly these days. "Helping" me around the house, climbing on EVERYTHING, hurting herself and getting into shenanigans. We've had some nice weather, FINALLY! And Danielle actually decided to throw a meal together which ended up tasting delicious!
Daddy, Elena, you guys are giving me the giggles.
Good morning everyone. I'm hanging out here with Judy.
Ready? Look down here.
Good morning everyone.
So John left at like 6 this morning to go shoot a few hours away.
He'll be gone for pretty much the whole day.
Me and Judy are hanging out here right now.
I just fed the girls some eggs.
We actually took it easy this morning so they kind of had a brunch.
It's actually after 11 now.
But I'm making some toast. Adelyn's getting a little fussy over there.
Anyway, because I had the craziest worst night yesterday.
I mean it wasn't like awful awful but John was gone from 2.30 until like 11.
All of the kids have been so tired and miserable.
Jude didn't nap yesterday.
I tried to upload the vlog twice.
The first time it got stuck processing and didn't work for like an hour.
So then I tried to upload it again and that worked.
But when I uploaded I realized that I had exported the wrong vlog.
And so it was like a previous vlog.
So we ended up just taking it down.
Which was just a little bit crazy.
But all of that's happening at the same time while I was putting the girls down for bed.
Adelyn was crying because she was hungry.
So I was trying to thaw out some milk to feed her because she gets a bottle of pumped milk a day.
That's frozen.
So I was working on getting her a bottle.
I had just run upstairs to separate Tyler and Elena.
Because I tried to put them in the same room.
It was like 9 o'clock and they were not sleeping yet.
So I brought Tyler downstairs.
I put her in the room down here.
And then I was uploading the vlog.
I came in to get the bottle.
And Adelyn was crying and I heard a thump.
And she fell out of her swing.
And fell onto the floor.
So obviously that was really upsetting for me.
And I know it was totally my fault.
She's been rolling and climbing.
And I know I should have buckled her in.
But between all the chaos of trying to get the kids in bed.
I was just trying to hurry, hurry, hurry.
I didn't mean to take so long.
She's fine.
She's not hurt or anything.
But it made me feel really bad.
She cried but as soon as she got a bottle she was fine.
Oh my goodness you're silly.
Put that back.
She was playing and smiling the whole rest of the night.
So that went well.
She slept pretty well last night too.
But it was just like a long night.
It's just one of those days where you're like.
Please can things just stop going wrong and being crazy.
I didn't get any cleaning up done.
Anything that I had on my list.
Yeah.
You're silly.
Take this out of your mouth.
They're for baby Adelyn.
Not yet but when she gets a little bigger and has food.
She can have these.
Hey.
No put it back.
Stop.
This one's been challenging.
Judy tell them.
Tell everybody.
You have your own personality.
Her own preferences now.
She's a little demanding.
A little bit unbending.
What do you think Jude?
Yeah she likes things her way.
For sure.
So I'm getting ready for nap time.
I'm hoping I can get a lot more done today while they nap.
Than I did yesterday.
I hear a princess coming.
Are you sweet?
Tyler tell everybody.
You guys are beautiful.
What are you doing?
Can you go give Adelyn her pasty real quick for me?
A hug.
Hug a mugga.
Can you give Addy her pasty real quick for me?
Thank you.
So anyway last night after all that and John got home.
And he was holding Adelyn.
And I was kind of like man I just need to like.
Take a break.
But I saw Tyler's blankies.
Oh are you going to talk to her for a minute?
That would be so helpful.
Here talk to her for a minute.
So John was holding Adelyn and I was like.
Feeling like I just needed to take a minute.
You know to myself.
But I found Tyler's blankies so I took those into her.
That's hot buddy.
So when I was in there I went into her room.
And I just decided to lay with her for a minute.
And I just started crying.
Because I realized that it's the quiet moments.
That I don't really get.
With all the kids it's hard to find those quiet moments.
With just one of them.
When you have one kid you can really like.
Treasure those moments when they're sleeping.
But like it's a lot harder.
Because even when three of them are sleeping.
One you know I have Adelyn or whatever it is.
So sorry.
She's crying I better feed her.
Hey don't cry.
You want me to pick you up?
So anyway I took those like moments.
I just kind of laid with her.
She woke up a little and I was like I love you buddy.
She said I love you too mommy.
You're beautiful.
And it was just this like sweet.
I got you.
Oh I got you.
So it was just like this sweet sweet moment.
Where I felt like.
This peace wash over me.
And this like sense of renewal.
Even though I felt like I needed a break.
That was refreshing.
That was like more refreshing.
To go in and to be like.
With her in that quiet moment.
Just to see her sleeping and just to remember like.
Golly I love them so much.
You know I would do anything for them.
It's worth it.
Every bit of how frustrating they are for the day.
They're still my babies.
What did you step on buddy?
My cape.
Your cape can fly.
Jude this way.
Bring me your snacks. I want to check your foot.
Make sure you didn't get bit by any ants.
Or stung by a bee.
I didn't.
Look at these eggs guys.
They're hidden everywhere.
I see one, two, three.
Four.
Five.
Six.
I'm pretty good at this.
Like a natural born Easter egg hunter.
I've already found seven eggs.
Eight. I found eight.
Go ahead. Hunt away.
Whoa. Didn't you hide them?
Yeah.
So how hard is it for you to find them after you hid them?
Is it pretty easy?
Do you know where they are already?
I found another one.
I see some clovers.
So Tyler found her first four leaf clover.
The other day.
And she found one more another day.
So she's actually been kind of obsessed with looking for them.
It's really cute.
She loves to look for clover patches.
And she'll sit there and just search and search.
It's kind of funny.
Do you guys remember when you found your first four leaf clover?
I remember looking for them when I was in elementary school.
When we were outside at recess.
But I don't remember the first one.
Or knowing what they were.
What do you think about being outside?
It's kind of warm and there's fuzzy jimmies.
Yeah?
Do you love it though?
It's awfully dark back here, huh?
What do you think?
Are you happy?
Oh, my sweet girl.
You don't see one over there?
Oh, you found an egg. Jude found an egg, everybody.
Are you enjoying this weather?
You like to sunbathe, huh?
Dog loves sunbathing.
He's been just like out here today.
Laying down, soaking it up.
Enjoying it.
Right, Adeline?
What do you think?
Does Francis love it?
Does he love it? Can I see you?
Wow, does he love it?
Yes, he does. She's so happy.
She is so happy today.
I love it.
Yeah, I love when she's happy.
I don't see you guys.
Some days, like this is nice. This is enjoyable.
The kids are all playing together.
At least like in the same vicinity without fighting.
So I don't even mind that it's after nap time.
I'll probably mind later when I try to lay them down for naps
and they decide not to take them
because they're overtired, but
I don't mind it right now.
I'm kind of enjoying soaking up the vitamin D.
We've been cooped up inside with the rain
and so I've been feeling the effects of that.
You know, like a lack of vitamin D
will make you feel
depressed and just like
tired and so I've been feeling
that way a lot
this week.
So it's nice to soak in the sun.
So hopefully we'll be able to go to the pool this week.
Our pool's been open for probably a month
and we haven't gone at all.
I know the girls loved it last year
and Jude is big enough to wear her puddle jumper
and really enjoy it this year, so
I'm excited to go.
So today would probably be nice.
Tomorrow would probably be nice, but John's got to work all this week, so
maybe Friday.
They're already asking to go back to the zoo too.
Oh, stop.
Hey, come on buddy. I don't want you to fall.
What if you...
What if you fall down?
Wow, look at this rock.
Guys, it's like flat.
Hey, let's take this inside
and wash it off. Let's take it inside to the sink
and let's wash it and get it all clean.
Come on, let's make it sparkle.
Ow!
Guys, why don't it work?
Don't throw it. You don't throw rocks
to people. That hurts. Come on.
Alright, jump. Jump to me.
Jump to me. I'll catch you.
Come on, Jude.
What do you say?
Yeah, there's nobody there.
Come on.
You want to come down and take a nap
or do you want to come down and play?
Alright, then come down by yourself.
If I have to come up there, you're going to take a nap.
For as like ornery as she is
and as much as she
kind of whines and tries to get what she wants
all the time,
she does listen well.
She reasons well. Whoa, Tyler.
I don't know if this is just special
or if it's OCD. I'm not sure.
But she just color organized
all these eggs that she found.
Green, purple,
red, blue, yellow, orange.
Right? Is that what you did?
Do you not like to mix them up
or what were you doing?
Why did you put them in different color sections?
You just like when they match?
Not too OCD,
clearly.
And she does not want to be inside.
We're going to go. We're going to go get
naps now.
I think somebody's calling me. I don't know who it is.
Okay, then I take them up for naps
and then see what I can accomplish.
See what
kind of motivation I can get once they're laying down.
Say bye to everyone. Say see you after my nap.
Say see you after my nap.
Is that yummy?
Yeah, you're eating a pepper?
Jude's taking these
chomps out of these peppers. It's funny because like
a few months ago, she probably
I would give her peppers but she would
never eat them and now she's
just like taking bites out of
the peppers I made for dinner.
So we are cooking together, right Judy?
Do you love cooking with me?
We're cooking
I'm missing ingredients for most
of the things that I would normally make.
So I'm making
I'm throwing something together. I have these tortilla
chips. They're by
Late July.
Chia and quinoa.
So they're good for you. So I've broken those up.
I've layered them in a pan.
We're going to have like a Mexican sort of taco
bake. I'm heating up
rice. I'm heating up Morning Star Farms
crumbles.
Vegetarian
meat substitute with
some taco seasoning and then some black beans.
And then I'm going to throw corn in,
some salsa, some tomatoes and peppers,
cheese,
Greek yogurt, and yeah.
I'm going to bake it and that's going to be done.
Stop, stop, stop. It's okay.
Elena, she's playing. Judy, go get your
Pasi out of the playroom. Jude!
So we got our nachos
done, about ready to go in the oven.
They need cheese.
And then John's
he does not really
care for black
beans and stuff. I mean he likes
them but he's just, I don't know, he's weird about
when he likes them so I
actually cooked up a chicken breast
and that's what I'm putting
in his instead. He will eat
the fake ground beef
normally but
we had the chicken and it needed to be
cooked so
I cooked that up.
I'm putting that together for him.
So that is the
plan. To finish this up and
get it in the oven and hopefully it'll
be yummy. Right?
Oh you have a Pasi, it's in your mouth.
Is that yours too? Okay
John's like I'm almost done. I just put it out of the oven.
Yeah.
Oh I'm sorry buddy. Batteries are probably
dead. Let me see it.
Okay.
There it is.
There's the one with chicken. And we got
some corn to throw in there and then I shredded
some lettuce and we got some
sour cream and it'll be really yummy. Not sour cream.
That's Greek yogurt but you get the point.
You need to sit down and eat and I'll give you your Pasi.
Okay. Okay thank you.
So here's
the final product. Wait a minute.
What do you think? It's so good babe.
Thank you for making this for me. It's got real
chicken in it. How does a crab walk?
Judy how does a crab walk?
What? Elena was trying to talk.
Say excuse me Elena.
Show me how to crab walk.
Alright you show me Tyler.
Like this.
Good head.
