Hi, I'm Brad, I'm John, so we are on to the, what is this, the third one?
I think this is the third performance, last week of Man's, Man's, Man's, Man's, Man's,
Man's World.
Yeah.
Get all the man's in there.
So, from your super, 2018, and Deanna was 14 years old.
I know.
Why do all these kids have such good talent?
I don't know what I was doing when I was 14, but I was up to no good.
Probably, so was I.
Your super is a talent competition, was or is, on a Russian TV for disadvantaged children
who show a significant part of their childhood grew up without parental care.
I think I actually remember to mention that part last week.
So this originally aired on May 12th of 2018, so a few weeks ago.
And this is a Russian folk song by the name of Rodchenko.
I probably just butchered that, sorry.
I didn't think to translate it, whoops.
Let us know.
Yes.
Or I might tell them it has subtitles.
It does have subtitles.
This is an old, old folk song, so it kind of can go, ah, she did this.
This is a cover of meh, because it could literally be anyone with a lot of people, that kind
of thing.
Because the song's been around for a very, very, very long time.
So.
Let's check it out.
Before we do, make sure you hit that like and subscribe.
If you check out the description down below, you're going to find all our links, information
and stuff that we have down there.
Okay.
I shall hit play.
Obviously, she's done a couple of other classic folk songs, I say classic folk songs, on other
shows.
And as with those, the tone of her voice always seems so suited to these kind of, I mean,
we call them folk songs.
There is something between it's a folk tale and a song, because, you know, a lot of these
are so old, that it's a case of, you know, traveling bards would travel the country and
sing these tales.
This is kind of how old a lot of these things are, something that's kind of gotten slowly
lost in Western culture, I should say.
There used to be a lot of them in the, you know, medieval days in England, and I think
a lot of them have kind of sort of, I think, just drifted away.
Yeah, it is just, it seems to be just brought so much more alive by that unusual quality
that her voice has.
Well, and yeah, I like her vocals like this, because we were making the comment, we were
watching the Avatar one.
She was trying to disguise herself.
Yeah.
But I really like, yeah, like this.
She's like this.
Yeah, she's, yeah.
She's not trying to be, you know, the same as everyone else.
She's really leaning on her voice and, you know, being kind of, this is me.
Yeah, just that role.
As me as I can be.
Yeah, that deep vocal that she has.
Yeah.
You know, with that kind of like slight, in this song, it's got a slight haunting quality
to it as well.
Right.
Yeah.
I like the stage production of it, too.
Yeah.
And I think the judges must have thought the song was over right there, and they're like,
oh crap, we haven't, it's like.
Not quite done.
Because apparently they have to hit their, those are the grade.
Yeah.
But you get lost, you just get lost in it.
Well, yeah, it's like, as I was saying, it's like the, that tone in her voice, it's like,
it just, it's mesmerizing, and you know, you do, you're sitting there, I mean, okay, we're
having to read subtitles as well, but it's like you're sitting there, you're paying attention.
You know, it just draws you in so much, you're paying attention to what, to what she's saying.
Whereas I think, you know, if somebody was just, could say, singing it normally, it would
be more just kind of like, oh, that was good.
Well, and that's why we create the pre-pause sections.
Yeah.
So it automatically pauses, because otherwise.
We didn't use to.
Yeah, you get lost into it, and it's like, you know, we forgot to pause and talk, and
you know.
Yeah.
Then YouTube says we have to, you know, we can't just let it play through.
We have to.
React.
Yeah.
Yeah, that was good.
I really liked that one.
Her last week was fun.
Yeah.
This one was very.
It was very moving.
Yeah.
It just really dragged you in.
Pulled you in.
Yeah, showcased her vocal.
Yeah, it really did.
The part of the vocal that you like.
I know what I mean.
Anyway.
We're obviously going to continue hitting her reps if you want to see those.
Make sure you hit that like and subscribe.
